Modification of coating-substrate interface character of thermally sprayed coatings using electron beam technology
Adheze nástřiků v as sprayed stavu byla kvantifikována. V případě nástřiků modifikovaných elektronovým paprskem přesná kvantifikace nebyla možná, z důvodu předčasného porušení na rozhraní nástřik-adhezivní pojivo během adhezních testů.
Quantification of measurement uncertainty using Monte Carlo
Mareš, Jaroslav ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on evaluation of standard uncertanities of measurement by method GUM and Monte Carlo and theirs comparation. In first part of this thesis is made the theoretical analysis of evaluation of measurement uncertanities and proposal of methodology for evaluating uncertainties by Monte Carlo method. In the second part is described direct and indirect measuring of resistance, capacitance and inductance, including evaluation of standard uncertanities of those measurings by GUM and Monte Carlo methods. In the end of this thesis is made comparison of achieved results of spoken methods.
Design of low-pressure magnetorheological damper
Mareš, Jan ; Žáček, Jiří (referee) ; Kubík, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of the limited lifetime of sealing elements inside high-pressure magnetorheological dampers. The lifetime could be extended by the low-pressure damper design, which is also the aim of this thesis. The proposed design achieves low-pressure operation thanks to the MR foot valve inserted between the damping piston and floating piston of the air chamber. This foot valve also contains a blow-off check valve. For simplicity and to reduce the upfront costs of the testing prototype, the damper was designed by modifying an existing single-tube high-pressure MR damper available at FSI VUT. The contribution of this thesis is the experimental evaluation of check valve function in MR fluid. Valve exhibits asymmetrical behaviour and closes rapidly. The main outcome is the design of a low-pressure single-tube MR damper. It is expected that operation at lower pressures will extend the lifetime of sealing elements which may lead to broader implementation of MR dampers.
Protection of Steel Constructions against Corrosion
Mareš, Jiří ; Tulka, Jaromír (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the issues of corrosion and anti-corrosion control of steel structures. Firstly, the principles and mechanisms of electrochemical corrosion are discussed along with the specific forms of corrosion and how the environment influences the corrosion process. Additionally, options for anti-corrosion control are discussed as it relates to specific steel structures. Finally, the methods of corrosion detection and monitoring are discussed.
FITkit as a Programmer of Microcontrollers
Mareš, Jan ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis explores the possibilites of using FITkit as a programmer of Microchip PIC and Atmel AVR microcontrollers. It describes methods of microcontroller programming and procedures that need to be followed to program a microcontroller. It also details the implementation of a FPGA design able to program these microcontrollers and a corresponding application for PC. At last, it evaluates the results, with focus at programming speed.
Adding Geographic Coordinates Based on Track Record to Photographs
Mareš, Jiří ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Semerád, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to fill photos metadata with geographic coordinates using a track record obtained from the GPS system. Besides the automated process, users are given the ability to modify or fill the data themselves through a map canvas with the recorded track. The goal is to implement simple user-friendly application for this purpose. The Application was created using the Java programming language and this allows for great multiplatform compatibility.
Quality of life for dialysis patients
Červinková, Andrea ; Mareš, Jiří (advisor) ; Mrkvičková, Petra (referee)
Author: Andrea Červinková Institution: Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové Department od Non-mediacal Studies Title: Quality of life od dialysis pacient Supervisor: prof. PhDr. Jiří Mareš, CSc Number of pages: 88 Year of defense: 2023 Keywords Quality of life, dialysis, kidneys, renal failure The bachelor's thesis discusses the quality of life of dialysis patients. It focuses on the physical, psychological and social aspects of dialysis patients' lives. We find out what the patient are most limited in and how they perceive their illness. I tried to show how the life of a dialysis patient differs from a healthy person. The focus of the work is a qualitative exploratory investigation using a semi-structured interview. The examined sample consists of dialysis patients who regularly undergo dialysis at the Hemodialysis Center Havlíčkův Brod.
Violence against women in Covid-19 pandemic
Asszonyi, Anna ; Mareš, Jiří (advisor) ; Havigerová, Jana Marie (referee)
Name and surname of the author: Anna Asszonyi Institution: Charles University Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové Department of non-medical studies Title: Violence against women in Covid-19 pandemic Supervisor: prof. PhDr.Jiří Mareš, CSc. Number of pages: 87 Year od defense: 2023 The bachelor thesis, "Domestic violence against women in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic", deals in the theoretical part with the issue of domestic violence within families and the possibilities of helping women, its victims. It provides basic information on domestic violence, its forms and causes, dynamics and consequences, not only on women but also on children. A significant part of the bachelor thesis focuses on the necessity of professional approach and procedure of medical and non-medical personnel in the process of interdisciplinary cooperation towards victims of domestic violence. In the research part, the bachelor's thesis tries to delve into the issue of domestic violence from the perspective of five women of different ages who have experienced domestic violence, including during quarantine. Using narrative interviews, it records their life stories and maps the ways in which they themselves try to resolve their situation. Keywords: violence against women, Covid - 19, syndrom, quarantine, domestic abuse,...
