Apartment building
Mališ, Jakub ; Pospíšil, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with designing an apartment building in Vrable. It is an in-dividually standing object on a flat terrain. The object of the apartment building has two over-ground and one underground floor and consists of six dwelling units. On the first over-ground floor there are three flats and on the second over-ground floor there are also three flats. The building is designed of structural system of ceramic blocks and partly permanent formwork. The ceilings are from prefabricated ceramics system and partly rein-forced concrete and the roof is designed as a mono-pitched with roof truss. The work includes project documentation for the construction.
Newly-built of sports centre
Mališ, Jakub ; Nováková, Eva (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with designing of a leisure sport centre in Partizánske in Slovak Republic. It is a detached object on a flat terrain. The object of the leisure sport center has two floors, or specifically the sport center stretches through two floors. In the building there is a cafe with bowling, three badminton courts, five squash courts and commercial area intended for massages. The object is designed from constructive system from lightweight concrete block. The second part is constructed from precast concrete frame with infill wall from lightweight concrete block. The ceiling in one part of the object is designed to be assembled of prestressed precast floor slab and in second part of trapezoidal sheet. The roof is made like flat green roof with extensive grassing. The work includes project documentation for the construction.
Mitigation of CO poisoning in hydrogen fuel cell.
Kalabis, David ; Yakovlev, Yurii (advisor) ; Mališ, Jakub (referee)
This diploma thesis aims at studying a process of hydrogen fuel cell poisoning by molecules of carbon monoxide. Low loading platinum-ruthenium anode catalysts prepared by magnetron co-sputtering were studied. The chemical composition and crystallographic structure of the co-sputtered catalyst were analysed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), energy- dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD). The process of CO poisoning was experimentally studied in half-cell and full-cell setups. Thin film catalysts were extensively studied using the rotating disk electrode (RDE) technique by analysing the desorption response of the underpotentially deposited hydrogen and copper as well as carbon monoxide stripping. Long-term and transient response to CO poisoning was investigated in the full cell setup (fuel cell operando mode) using galvanostatic potentiometry and impedance spectroscopy, respectively. A bifunctional mechanism of ruthenium in platinum anode catalyst was analysed. The mechanism of CO tolerance improvement either through adsorbed OH group formation and a change in electronic structure of alloys was discussed.
