Nonlinear models of suspension bridges
Malík, Josef
Some results concerning the geometric nonlinearity connected with torsion and bending of a road bed is analyzed. The basic nonlinear variational equations derived from principle of minimum energy are proposed.
Complex nonlinear model of cable stayed bridges
Malík, Josef
The goal of this paper is to propose a complex non-linear model of cable stayed bridges describing vertical and torsional oscillations of a road bed, vibrations of pylons, non-linear behaviour of cables, and influence of gravitational and aerodynamical forces.
Modelling of cable stayed bridges
Malík, Josef
In this paper a model of cable stayed bridges is analyzed. The model describes the behaviour of center span suspended by two rows of cable. The behaviour of center span is described by two functions corresponding to vertical and torsional vibrations. The existence, uniqueness, and regularity are proved.
