Perceived attitudes of FTVS and PedF UK students to the subject of the first aid

Title: Perceived attitudes of FTVS and PedF UK students to the subject of the first aid Aims: The aim of the work was to find out what kind of attitudes the selected groups of students from FTVS and PedF UK, who study physical education, take to learn the subject of first aid and what kind of attitudes they take to provide first aid. Methods: Used method for this thesis was the anonymous survey. The survey was consisted of 16 questions, which were created based on the professional literature. The distribution was realized using the survio.cz platform. The research group was consisted of 102 respondents - students. The research involved 76 women and 35 men. There were 70 students from FTVS UK and 32 students from PedF UK. All participants studied physical education either in a single subject or in combination with another subject. Most students were in the 3rd year of bachelor's study (29) and the 2nd year of master's study (29). The obtained data were displayed using graphs and tables, supplemented by verbal evaluation. Results: Based on the research, it was found that 85.3% of students rate the teaching of first aid in schools with a pedagogical focus as definitely important. Influence of guide dog ownership on physical activity and quality of life of people with visual impairments

Title: Influence of guide dog ownership on physical activity and quality of life of people with visual impairments Objectives: The main objective of the thesis was to examine differences in quality of life and volume of physical activity in persons with visual impairments who own/do not own a guide dog. Methods: It is theoretically empirical work. A quantitative form of questioning was used for the research part of this thesis. The method chosen for data collection was the standardised IPAQ questionnaire and the revised SF-36 questionnaire. The research group consisted of people with visual impairments who own/do not own guide dogs. The survey involved 15 people with visual impairments (7 women, 8 men), out of this number 8 respondents own a guide dog (5 women, 3 men) and 7 respondents do not own a guide dog (3 women, 4 men). The average age of respondents with a guide dog was - women 32 years, men 31 years. In respondents without a dog - women 32 years, males 38 years. Results: The results showed up to twice the time devoted to regular physical activity in a group of visually impaired individuals who own a guide dog, compared to individuals without a dog. The level of first-aid procedures knowledge amongst floorball trainers

Title: The level of first-aid procedures knowledge amongst floorball trainers Objectives: The primary aim of this research was to identify to what extent trainers of the Czech highest female floorball league are familiar with the first-aid procedures. Methods: In this research, the sampling method was carried out in the form of an anonymous questionnaire, which was constructed from two parts. The first part of the questionnaire assessed general knowledge (7 questions). The second part tested the participants through a random scenario (15 questions). The number of respondents counted a total of 17 B-licensed trainers, both male and female. The questionnaire was completed with the assistance of the Czech Floorball Union, and the collected data was presented in graphs. Results: Based on the anonymous questionnaire, the findings showed the above-average experience of trainers providing first-aid, during both floorball practice or competition. The most common injures were the least serious, such as the wind knocked out, muscle / ligament strain. The results showed that the knowledge of coaches in not sufficient (the average percentage of correct answers among respondent is only 62 % in total), and moreover they are influenced by the scope of the first aid course and when the course was graduated. Title: Barriers effecting the physical activity of visually impaired youth Objectives: The main aim of the bachelor's thesis was to find out what barriers visually impaired youth aged 7 - 18 perceive during physical activity. Methods: The main scientific method was quantitative research, in which the Czech translated PABS-VI. Questionnaire was used. A total od 26 people with visual impairments Ø 12,5 (± 3,2 years participated in the research. Data collection took place between December 2020 amd February 2021. The obtained data were edited and evaluated in Microsoft Office Exel. Results: In conclusion, there is no such difference between Czech visually impaired youth around 7-18 and foreign children. This study aimed to identify the main barriers, including insufficient family support and disinterest in sports activities based on the undertaken research. Crucial and more often mentioned barrier is the lack of information on sports activity possibilities around the residence or places where it is possible to exercise with visual impairment. As an outcome of our work, we find that visually impaired youth between the ages of 7-18 and different nationalities can sense the same amount of barriers that make sports activity more difficult. Parkinson's disease in the context of the musculoskeletal system and rehabilitation care

Title: Parkinson's disease (PD) in the context of comprehensive rehabilitation Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to process knowledge about Parkinson's disease and methods of treatment. The practical part of it focused on examining the symptoms, methods of exercise and home conditions of patients with PD. The results were used to make recommendation for these patients. Methods: Within a theoretical part a survey was created and compiled for patients with PD. The survey anonymously addressed 15 respondents suffering from PD. The research took place in May 2021. The respondents' anonymisation was fully preserved. Results: People with PD mostly suffer from symptoms such as rigidity, tremor and deterioration of cognitive abilities. Over 50% of the respondents do regular exercise on a ball. A smaller number of them do Yoga. None of them had experience with Schultz's autogenous training and Jacobson's progressive muscle relaxation. Use of regenerative procedures by students of UK FTVS

Title of the bachelor thesis: Use of regenerative procedures by students of UK FTVS Department: Department of Health Physical Education and Sport Medicine Supervisor: MUDr. Simona Majorová Goals: The main aim of the thesis was to find out which regeneration procedures UK FTVS students use the most, identify the main reason for use and the factors determining the selection of the regenerations procedure. The secondary objective was to summarize and characterize regeneration forms and resources on the basis of porfessional literature dealing with regeneration in sport. Than on the basis of the survey results with regards of professional literature make regeneration recommendation for students in practice. Metohods: The necessary informations was collected by using a non - invasive method of online survey. A total of 60 UK FTVS students from domain TVS participated in the research, across all grades regardless of gender. Results: On the basis of online survey was found that the most used thermal regeneration procedure among students is sauna, water procedure is swimming pool - swimming, the most used type of massage is sports massage and light procedures are not used by the vast majority of students. Virtual Reality in Comprehensive Rehabilitation of People with Spinal Cord Injury

Title: Virtual Reality in Comprehensive Rehabilitation of People with Spinal Cord Injury Objectives: The main aim of this work was to find out how the virtual reality in comprehensive rehabilitation affects individuals with spinal cord injury who took part in social rehabilitation stay at Centrum Paraple, o.p.s. The research was focused on the awareness of virtual reality, probands' subjective reactions to therapeutic video, and comparison of these reactions between individuals with complete and incomplete spinal cord injury. Furthermore, potential interest in this form of therapy within the future comprehensive rehabilitation of probands was investigated. Methods: Twenty seven probands in the 18-70 age range, with complete or incomplete spinal cord injury took part in the quantitative research. During their social rehabilitation stay at Centrum Paraple, o.p.s., probands were shown three and half minute long therapeutic video through VR headset. Probands completed an input and output questionnaire. The input questionnaire mapped previous experience with virtual reality and inquired about probands' interest to try out virtual reality during social rehabilitation stay. Inclusion of pupil with cystic fibrosis in physical education

Title: Inclusion of a pupil with cystic fibrosis in physical education Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to point out through case studies the possibilities of inclusion of a pupil with cystic fibrosis in physical education and to investigate the influence of physical applied activities on pupil's physical abilities. Part of the research was also working with a girl in physical education classes. Methods: Due to the uniqueness of the disease, was chosen for this thesis the method of a case study of schoolgirl aged 12 with CF. Methods of data collection included interviews with pupil's mother, teacher and teaching assistant, questionnaires, observations and MABC-2 test set. Results: We found out, that the inclusion of a pupil with CF is possible, but it is necessary to have prepared alternative methods and modification of physical activities in order not to damage the health of the individual. The individual approach to the student in class also proved to be effective. The research shows that physical activities as a part of physical education have a positive effect on some motor skills of a pupil with CF. In contrary, shoulder dislocation, stomach and eye injuries had the lowest occurrence rate. Physical activity education of individuals with type 2 diabetes

Title: Physical education of individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the effect of physical education of individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus cured in diabetologic outpatient clinic of Genereal University Hospital in Prague. The physical education was focused on nordic walking. Methods: Eight patients of diabetological outpatient clinic were chosen by the doctor for this survey. The physical examination was carried out with seven patients. It involved anthropometrical measurements (weight, waist circumference) and blood collection for biochemical parameters assessment (glycemia, glycated hemoglobin). Two-minute step test was chosen for assessment of subject's physical fitness. Results: The physical activity education of individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus doesn't increase the amount of their physical activity. The physical activity of type 2 diabetes mellitus individuals is rather low as well as their exercise adherence. Nordic walking exercise program can improve anthropometrical parametres (weight, waist circumference) and can reduce HbA1c levels.
