First aid knowledge of UK FTVS and FSV UK students

Title: First aid knowledge of students of FTVS UK and FSV UK Objectives: The main objective was the comparison of students of The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University and of The Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University with the help of online survey. The secondary objective was to find out if there is a significant difference between male and female students and between individual years of study. Methods: The collection of data was done by means of online survey. The questionnaire was created with the help of Google Forms software and subsequently distributed through the website Facebook. 64 respondents replied to the survey. After the data were collected they were downloaded as Microsoft Excel file and subsequently encoded and statistically analysed. The Microsoft Excel software was used to compute measures of central tendency (arithmetic mean, mode and median) and measures of dispersion (variance and standard deviation) of subsamples. Results: Considering the size of sample of FSV UK students, the only differences that were tested for were between FTVS UK and FSV UK students, between male and female FTVS UK students and between the group of FTVS students who study at the faculty for three years or less and group of FTVS students who study at the faculty longer....

Andrea Kohútová Title: Quality of life in patients hospitalized for severe Covid-19 Backgound: In 2021-2022, the world faced a challenge of the pandemic of a viral disease named Covid-19, caused by the SARS-CoV2 virus. This disease had a severe course with long-term consequences in many patients. The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly affected and continues to affect the quality of life of the entire population. Objectives: The main objective of this study is to examine the impact of Covid-19 on the quality of life of patients hospitalized in an ICU, all of that evaluated during hospitalization with a follow-up after six months. Methods: The chosen method was a survey using the SF-36 questionnaire to evaluate the effect of Covid-19 on quality of life in patients hospitalized in the Covid ICU of the Vinohrady University Hospital, first during hospitalization and then in a follow-up 6 months later.. Nutrition and eating habits of APTV students at UK FTVS

Title: Nutrition and eating habits of APA students at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is to map the nutritional habits of APA students at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University by using a questionnaire survey and then compare the results with the principles of healthy eating and proper nutrition, which are written in the theoretical part of this thesis. Methods: Within the theoretical-empirical research, information about students' diet was ascertained by using a quantitative method. The specific form was an online questionnaire. Results: The questionnaire survey shows that most students in the field of APA at Charles University eat according to the principles of healthy nutrition. 73,3 % of students eat regularly, more than half of them eat at the right time intervals. More than 75 % of students have regular breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. 68 % of students prepare lunches by themselves, 20 % use the canteen. Most students follow a drinking recommendation. Only 6,7 % of students smoke cigarettes and 3 % regularly use chewing tobacco. Insufficient intake of fruit and vegetable was reported by more than third of respondents. Level of first aid knowledge of ice hockey coaches

Title: Level of first aid knowledge of ice hockey coaches Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor thesis was to determine the level of knowledge of ice hockey coaches regardless of the level of coaching license. The partial objectives are whether time since passing the coaching license affects the level of first aid knowledge of ice hockey coaches and whether first aid knowledge is higher in ice hockey coaches with higher coaching license. Methods: In my work, the method of anonymous survey was used. The questionnaire consisted of two parts, where the first part contained 9 general questions about coaching activities, from which i then evaluated the results and answered the research questions. The second part of the survey contained 18 questions on first aid knowledge. Results: Based on the survey, it was found that ice hockey coaches do not have sufficient knowledge in first aid. The results showed that the average success rate of the respondents (38) was only 58.3%. It was also found that time since licensure has a negative effect on the first aid knowledge of ice hockey coaches. Title: Knowledge of motor vehicle drivers of first aid procedures in traffic accidents Objectives: The diploma thesis aims to determine level of knowledge of motor vehicle drivers about first aid procedures in traffic accidents with the help of using own survey. Methods: Compilation, survey, analysis Results: The established hypothesis was confirmed. The knowledge of medically educated drivers about first aid procedures is sufficient, the knowledge of non-medical drivers is not. Success is not dependent on respondents' gender. Sleep hygiene of students of Charles University FPES

Title: Sleep Hygiene of Students of Charles University FPES Objectives: The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to find out to what extent students of bachelor's programs at Charles University FPES (Faculty of Physical Education and Sport) adhere to the principles of sleep hygiene. Methods: I used the poll method for data collection for the practical part of the bachelor's thesis. The poll of my own design was created via Google Forms. The data were converted to the Microsoft Excel 2010. The basic procedures of descriptive statistics were applied to process the data. The research was focused on a group of students of full-time bachelor's programs at Charles University FPES. Results: The poll results showed that most students only partially follow sleep hygiene. Only 12 (10.3 %) students out of 116 (100 %) participators adhere to almost all recommended sleep hygiene principles. First aid knowledge ice hockey players

Title: Level of first aid knowledge of ice hockey players Objectives: The main aim of this study was to determine the level of first aid knowledge of ice hockey players. The sub-objective is to determine whether education affects first aid knowledge. The second sub-objective is to determine whether graduates of first aid courses achieve better results than individuals who have never taken a course in their life. Methods: Quantitative data collection through a survey was used to meet the objectives. The questionnaire survey was conducted by internet distribution using Google forms. The target group were active ice hockey players. A total of 42 participants took part in the survey. The first half of the survey dealt with general information about respondents while the second half focused on general first aid knowledge and dealing with the most common injuries in ice hockey. The data was processed and subsequently evaluated. Objectives: Based on the survey, it was found that ice hockey players did not demonstrate sufficient knowledge of first aid. Respondents answered with an average success rate of 69 %. It was also found that the results were influenced based on previous participation in a first aid course. Students and their relations to alcoholic beverages at FPES CU

Title of the bachelor thesis: Students and their relations to alcoholic beverages at FPES CU Goals: The main goal of my thesis was to discover relations between students of FPES CU (Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University Prague) and alcoholic beverages. Secondary goal is to summarize and evaluate risks of consumption of alcoholic beverages based on professional literature on the theme of alcoholic beverages and its impact on the physical and mental state of an individual person. Methods: The raw data were collected by method of non-invasive online survey. In the research 120 of UK FTVS students were attended across specializations and years of studies, regardless of gender. Results: Based on an online survey, it was found that almost a half of respondents (49 %) have a positive relationship with alcoholic beverages and 47 % of them see their relationship as neutral. The most popular beverage is beer, mixed drinks and cocktails ended up as a second favourite with one third of responses. About a half of answerers claim they consume alcohol occasionally. Bigger third drinks at least once a week. Social events are the main reason for consumption of alcoholic beverages for 47 % of respondents. More than 90 % consume in a party or group, not alone. Title: Change of life quality in people undergoing the organized reduction program Objective: The work objective is to find out a possible change of life quality after undergoing a three-month reduction course which consists of aerobic exercise and circuit training, as well as group work under the guidance of an instructor. Methods: The data will be collected through the SF36 questionnaire. In the first phase of the project, the course participants will fill out a questionnaire which will be handed over to them before the commencement of the reduction program. In the second part of the project, the participants will fill out the same questionnaire after undergoing the course. Subsequently, I will analyse the results and assess the success rate of the program. Method - questionnaire survey. Results: After undergoing a three-month reduction program, there were positive changes in quality of life. The effectiveness of the influence of the three-month reduction programme is seen primarily in the improvement of the psychological side of the individual. Title: Educational program influence on the secondary school students' awareness about the assistance to people with visual disabilities in public space Objective: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to study the effects of the educational program on secondary school students' awareness about the assistance to people with visual disabilities in public space. The secondary aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the practical and safety principles for assistance to people with visual disability in public space and to emphasize the importance of educational programs for public. Methods: Quantitative research in the form of quasi-experiment was aimed on the effect of the educational program in a group of 30 secondary school students. Self-designed test based on the knowledge of the probands was used as a data collection method, in the form of test questions. First half of the probands took the test after they completed the educational program, the second half took the test without attending the program and their answers were based only on their knowledge. Thirty secondary school students aged 14-18 were chosen as the target group.
