Structura of stainless steels, surface treatment technology, chemical treatment of austenitic steel, treatment in radiofrequency.
Thin plasma polymer films on metal substrates
Mach, Pavel ; Salyk, Ota (referee) ; Přikryl, Radek (advisor)
The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on surface treatments, their evaluation from the point of view visual properties, plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition and analysis of thin layers prepared by plasma polymerization. The experimental part of the thesis deals with surface treatment of stainless steel AISI 304. Thin layers of pp-HMDSO (plasma-polymer) and of DLC are deposited on the steel´s surface for the purpose of preparing transparent layer, which protect steel´s surface against of making finger prints visible. As an objective method is chosen an immersion test in artificial sweat solution according to standard ČSN EN ISO 105-E04. Evaluation of the test is measured by a gloss-meter and by a colorimeter. Prepared layers are identificated by FTIR method.
Fuel additives for modern internal combustion engines
Mach, Petr ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is devoted to thorough research of fuel additives, especially their effect on deposits in internal combustion engines, wear and service life of the engines and their effect on fuel consumption. The first chapter briefly informs about automotive fuels and explains the used terms in this work. The next chapter describes the types of fuel additives and their use. The third chapter deals with the deposits in the internal combustion engines and their reduction using detergent additives. The fourth chapter focuses on the types of wear and places where arise. This chapter also aims to prove the positive effect of additives on the engine components service life. The last chapter focuses on the fuel consumption and importance of additives in world fuel consumption.
Design of Turbine Safety Cover for Turbocharger
Mach, Petr ; Kudláček, Petr (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue related to the burst covers of turbochargers, followed by the design of the safety cover for turbine housing, which works as a protective barrier in case of possible destruction of the turbocharger rotor. The design is created according to current knowledge from the containment testing and requirements for the highest level of safety during turbocharger operation. In this diploma thesis, there are made 2 new variants of burst cover. The first aims at a lower purchase price and it is suitable for applications where it is not necessary to have the highest protection level. The second variant aims to face the strictest conditions and uses reinforced walls, which makes it a more expensive product. For both designs of the burst cover, there is made an analysis of vibrations due to long-term trouble-free operation, which is followed by further modification of the design. In the last part, burst covers are checked for high-cycle material fatigue. The output of this diploma thesis are therefore two new designs of the safety covers that are suitable in terms of vibrations caused by the internal combustion engine.
Inspection of quality of social services in residential facilities
Bartišová, Lucie ; Baštecká, Bohumila (advisor) ; Mach, Petr (referee)
Inspection of the quality of social services in residential facilities. The main goal of Inspection of the quality of social services in residential facilities is to describe the influence of inspection on quality of standards of service provided in controlled facilities. The thesis is divided in two parts. First part presents theroetical frame of discussed issue based on professional literature. This theoretical frame consists of four chapters which present social services in general, their quality and values, quality of management and inspection of social services. Second part includes qualitative research based on interviews with five respondents. Interviews are focused mainly on respondent's personal experiences. Results of data analysis, their overview and discussion are summarized. Based on data analysis answers to research questions are formulated. Research provides answers to how inspection of quality of social service contributes to better understanding of meaning of standards of quality by employees and how it influences behavior of employees and state of social service in general. Keywords Social services, residential social service, quality, values, quality standards, management, inspection of the quality of social service.

2004 and 2009 European Parliament Elections in the Czech Republic and their Impact on the Party System
Mach, Petr ; Just, Petr (advisor) ; Šušlíková, Lada (referee)
This diploma thesis comparatively analyses elections to the European Parliament held in 2004 and 2009 in the Czech Republic. It focuses on the main features of these elections with the aim of finding their main similarities and differences. For this purpose the framework of the classic "second order elections" concept is used which was introduced by Karlheinz Reif and Hermann Schmitt. The introductory part summarizes the main aspects of the "second order elections" concept. What follows is the examination of development of the electoral system for the elections to the European parliament. Crucial features of the electoral system used in the Czech Republic are explored in detail. The main part of the thesis concentrates on the analysis of elections to the European Parliament held in the Czech Republic in 2004 and 2009. These elections are put into context of domestic political situation.
