Grant and Subsidy Programs in Selected City (Sušice)

The content of this thesis is introduction of grant and subsidy programs in Sušice and comparison these programs with subsidy programs in other cities. The main objective of this thesis is to analyse volume and structure allocated grants and subsidies in Sušice in the years 2007-2016. The first chapter is theoretical and deals with subsidies, grants and way of financing sport and culture in the Czech Republic. The second part is devoted to the Grant program of the town Sušice in support of culture, sport, leisure and education. In the third chapter the thesis is devoted subsidy programs to support regular activities of children and youth in sports and cultural organizations. The last chapter deals with the comparison of subsidies programs in Sušice, Domažlice and Prachatice. A basic statistical analysis from the collection of secondary data was used to conclude the results.
The concept of basic income and its potential implementation in the Czech Republic

This bachelor´s thesis entails information regarding the concept of basic income. It explains the definition of the concept, its theoretical framework and historical roots. The concept of basic income offers a new view at social security solution and tries to face the new challenges of the 21st century such as the rise of unemployment due to automation and persisting poverty. The thesis provides the advantages and disadvantages of that solution and introduces its debated format throughout the world as well as the various potential ways to fund this idea. The practical application, however, is focused on the Czech Republic. Although this topic is highly discussed throughout the world, this purpose is still a periphery concept throughout most of the Czech Republic. The thesis suggests a possible reform of the present social security including basic income implementation and makes an elementary estimation of its social and financial impacts. The final section generally analyses the feasibility of basic income innovation and discusses its viability within the Czech Republic.

Long-term sustainability of health financing in the Czech Republic

The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to propose suggestions which would raise the income of healthcare in the Czech Republic. The sub-objective is analysis of the factors affecting revenue and expenditure of the health insurance. The thesis consists of two theoretic chapters which outline issues of healthcare funding and premiums for public health insurance. The practical part concentrates on analysis of the factor affecting revenue and expenditure of the health insurance and presents suggestion which would raise the income of healthcare in the Czech Republic. This bachelor thesis deals with the financing of the Czech and Russian healthcare systems. The Czech Republic and the Russian Federation are both using a mandatory health insurance financing model, but with a variety of differences. The main aim is to identify, quantify and then compare the revenues of the healthcare systems of Russia and the Czech Republic. The preamble presents various methods of financing health care. The second and third part focus on the financing of the healthcare systems in Russia and the Czech Republic with a deep dive into the analysis of the revenues of the mandatory health insurance in the years 2010-2016. The last part is a comparison of the two systems.
The health system of Germany

The diploma thesis contains a comprehensive view of the health system in the Federal Republic of Germany in 1995-2015. The main aim of this work is to establish recommendations for improvement of the Czech health system based on the evaluation of the findings on the German health system. The partial aims of the diploma thesis are the characteristics of the health system and the analysis of income and expenditure in health care in Germany. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is focused on the information obtained from professional literature. In particular, it describes the different concepts related to healthcare and its financing. The second chapter focuses on the economic concept and the issue of the health system. The third part contains a description of the country's health system. Here are also some selected data about Germany, organization or authority at federal, state and local levels. The fourth chapter deals with the insurance market in Germany. The fifth part summarizes the fundamental reforms of the health system of the Federal Republic. The last chapter is an analysis of income and expenditure of the health system. This section analyzes the data available from statistics from the German Statistical Office or from multinational organizations such as WHO, OECD or the World Bank.

The thesis deals with performance audit theory and practise. Performance audit consists in evaluating of economy, efficiency and effectiveness. It checks inputs, how they are used and if the intended target is achieved. The main goal of the thesis is to use the theoretical knowledge and do the performance audit of chosen entity. The partial goal is to find out how the performance audit works in reality especially in the Czech Republic.
Analysis of public procurement in chosen municipality

The bachelor's thesis is dedicated to analysis of public procurement in Dacice. Theoretical part is focused on legislation of public procurement in the Czech Republic, the basic concepts and the procurement process. Practical part deals with the analysis of the budget of Dacice and with the analysis of public contracts, which the city enters. Attention is paid to the possibilities of evaluating public contracts, the types of procurement procedures, the expected and final value of the contract, the number of offers and the administrative costs of public procurement. The results of the case studies are compared with the data on public contracts awarded in Trebon and on the public procurement market in the Czech Republic.

The diploma thesis Funding of selected social services for seniors deals with the system of funding of the social services for the elderly - retirement homes and homes with a special regime in the Czech Republic. It is focused on the analysis of costs and earnings for these services and possible measurement of efficiency during providing of services. For the area in the nonprofit sector there are specific features of financing, which enables providing of social services. Attention is also paid to proposals for changes in the current system of financing. Sources of data analysis are internal data of regions of Ostrava and Zlin, internal data providers gathered for benchmarking and report on the performance of individual service providers.
