Horečky
Hajšelová, Katarína ; Mašek, Radomír (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The building area of Mr. Polach, which is containing the buildings Pantáta, Panímáma and Mariánka – is unused nowadays. A variety of public functions designed for residents and visitors is proposed for its renovation. The Pantáta, the oldest of the three, is designed for freetime activities. As a leisure time center, it would work not only as an extension of the art school in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, but also for other non-traditional activities for children and adults, for regular classes and single-time events and workshops, and thanks to the space possibilities of the main hall, also as the cultural center as well. The Panímáma building is designed as an alternative Waldorf type kindergarten, which, thanks to its unique location in the womb of nature, will surely attract a lot of interest. The last of the trio is Mariánka, which is ideal for the function of a tourist hostel, which is ideal in the area, because the function is currently demanded in the area and the current capacity is not sufficient. Accommodation is designed as a low-cost alternative with a shared kitchen and it is also great for organizing the educational events in countryside

Obrusníková, Magdalena ; Mašek, Radomír (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The main aim of the diploma thesis is the revitalization of the site Horečky in Beskydy mountains, which contains several abandoned buildings. In the introduction, the work provides an analysis in the wider context and comes up with a concept of urban strategy on the larger scale. The main item of the urban and architectural study itself is a complex of existing buildings called Pantata, Marianka and Panimama and their setting in the terraced hilly landscape. The first necessary step is purging the buildings of nonconceptual extensions, which were added in the past. The function, which was chosen based on the outcome of the analysis part is a recreational accommodation facility oriented on educational school trips and alternative forms of experience-based educational methods. The building Pantáta gets to be the main center of the function itself and the 3rd and 4th stock is designed as additional accommodation facility. The building is also complemented with an extension building located in the terrace in the sloping-down terrain. This spatial concept also enables expansion of the exterior space in front of the historical building. The building Marianka is designed to be the main accommodation facility. The building Panimama is removed and a forest-cabin accommodation area is designed at the plot as another alternative way of staying in nature. There are also other landscape interventions and pavilions designed within the thesis project.

Kohlhammer, Peter ; Mašek, Radomír (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this project is to find an appropriate use for the area that lies between the city center and the residential area. In the first phase of the project, this area is divided into the two parts by the natural stream of people, that flows from the residential, to the city center area. This includes the retardation of the vehicle transportation and, on the other hand, the promotion of the pedestrians. The main focus of the phase two is to change the characteristics of the area from transport-orientated to the area that can be used by different groups of people for a wide variety of actions.
