Molecular cytogenetic analysis of cryptic chromosomal rearrangements
Kindlová, Markéta ; Kočárek, Eduard (advisor) ; Musilová, Jana (referee)
Microdeletion syndromes occur in high incidence in the population, the most common syndrome is DiGeorge syndrome. Its incidence is 1 : 4 000. Another relatively frequent syndromes are Williams-Beuren syndrome, Miller-Dieker syndrome, 1p36 deletion syndrome and others. Most of these syndromes cause the serious clinical disorder to their carriers. Early and reliable diagnosis can help in treatment of the affected patient (education, surgical correction, physiotherapy, pharmacotherapy) or in prenatal diagnostics. We use FISH (fluorescent in situ hybridization) or PCR (polymerase chain reaction) based methods to analyse cryptic chromosomal rearrangements, which cause these syndromes.
International convention CMR - actual questions
Musilová, Jana ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Brodec, Jan (referee)
The international carriage of goods takes up a significant position in time of developing business relations and in fact it is not even possible to imagine the interstate commerce without it. In the European continent it is the international carriage of goods by road which is preferred for its availability, flexibility and easy utility. With the view of standardizing the conditions governing the contract for the international carriage of goods by road the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) was adopted at Geneva 19 May 1956 (registered ex officio on 2 July 1961, United nations - Treaty Series 1961). This convention came into force on 2 July 1961 (for the former Czechoslovak Socialistic Republic on 3 December 1974). Fifty-five Contracting Parties have accessed it till this time. After more than 50 years from the time of its adoption the CMR Convention remains respectable internationally and it is still a broadly applicable and stable regulation. It was amended once only by The Protocol to The Convention on The Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) done at Geneva 5 July 1978. Within the application of the CMR Convention it is still possible to find a lot of questions at issue, the author of this work deals with the most up-to-date...
Pathways Identification In The Gram-Positive Bacterium Aneurinibacillus Species H1
Musilová, Jana
Here, we present the first insight into the Gram-positive, promising polyhydroxyalkanoatesproducer Aneurinibacillus species H1. Both static and dynamic properties are described inthis paper with the aim on identification of pathways occurring in the organism. The genome consistsof a circular, 3,663,644 bp long chromosome and contains 4,654 protein-coding sequences and129 RNAs in total. The GC content is 44.8%. Functional properties identification showed that CDSdivide into 26 categories with the most prevalent Amino Acids and Derivatives group. Pathwaysinference revealed 201 pathways. The most represented group is metabolic pathways, which is furtherdivided into 12 groups.
Homologsearch: R Package For Identifying Homologous Sequences Between Model And Non-Model Organisms
Musilová, Jana
In this paper, I present the R package HomologSearch. The package serves for searching similarities between two sequences (protein or nucleotide) in a fasta format. The evaluation is computed using the BLAST algorithm and output is a table of homologous locus tags and genes (if available). The HomologSearch is available in the GitHub repository under the name ‘Jana- Mus/HomologSearch’ and can be installed as a library into the R language.
Methods for prediction of RNA secondary structure
Polzerová, Nikola ; Musilová, Jana (referee) ; Jurečková, Kateřina (advisor)
This bachelor thesis discuss RNA secondary structure and it’s prediction in particular. It describes various secondary structure elements and presents some secondary structure prediction methods. Within the framework of bachelor thesis, three computational methods for secondary structure prediction were implemented in programming and numeric computing platform MATLAB. These methods are Nussinov algorithm, Zuker algorithm and Crumple method. Implemented algorithms approched the prediction in terms of base pair maximalization or free energy minimalization. Their function was verified on the created dataset and the results were compared with known secondary structures.
Network Analysis Of Drugs Used To Treat Schizophrenia
Musilová, Jana
The aim of this study is a designation of a multitarget drug for a treatment of schizophrenia with the least number of adverse drug interactions. Using Cytoscape software and DrugBank database we have examined currently used schizophrenia drugs and their targets in human body. The acquired knowledge led to a design of an antipsychotic type of a drug chemically based on benzenoids or azacyclic compounds with better overall characteristics.
Signaling Pathway For Butanol Production In Clostridium Beijerinckii Nrrl B-598
Musilová, Jana
In this study, we bring the first dynamic model of signaling pathway for butanol production in sporulating, solvent-producing bacterium, Clostridium beijerinckii NRRL B-598. The model allows to study functions of individual genes involved in the production of solvents and acids. We used an open platform Cell Collective for designing the model and stored it under the name ‘Signaling Pathway for Butanol Production in Clostridium beijerinckii NRRL B-598’ version 1.0 (https://research.cellcollective.org/?dashboard=true#36604:1/signaling-pathway-for-butanol-production-inclostridium-beijerinckii-nrrl-b598/10) in publicly available repository of Cell Collective.
Signaling Pathway for Butanol Production in Solventogenic Clostridium Bacteria
