Shift work and its impact on quality of live
MRÁZOVÁ, Veronika
The work process is a significant component of every person's lifestyle, as we spend a large amount of time at work. It is therefore logical that the characteristics of the job affect the quality of life. This thesis explores the impact of shift work on the quality of life. Around 20 % of all workers worldwide work in shifts, which is a significant part of the population. Shift work is essential in some fields, such as industry, healthcare, and emergency services, for example. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the basic terms and informs about research and conclusions related to irregular shift system, night work, and sleep deficiency. The practical part of the work is the evaluation of a questionnaire survey among the employees of Budějovice Budvar, n.p., who work in different shift regimes. The WHOQOL - BREF questionnaire was used for the investigation.
External hereditary defects in the domestic rabbit
MRÁZOVÁ, Veronika
The goal of this diploma thesis was to clarify the anatomy and evaluation of the exterior of the rabbit, the individual external hereditary defects that this di-ploma thesis focused on and the issue of genetics and breeding on the basis of infor-mation from available literature and scientific resources. On the basis of this information, be assembled a questionnaire, which was presented to breeders over the course of several months. On the basis of 122 responses, be subsequently found that breed-ers most often encounter malocclusion (overgrown teeth), hypospadias (cleft penis), cryptorchidism (undescended testicle(s)) and buphthalmia (underdeveloped tear ca-nals in one or both eyes, with a range of manifestations). On the contrary, it was found that hobby breeders very infrequently encounter alopecia (local or general hair loss) and limb luxation (dislocation of the thoracic or pelvic limbs). In the conclusion of this diploma thesis, the collective results were also used as a basis to calculate the statistical estimate of potential numbers of individuals suffering from a specific defect. These numbers were calculated on the basis of the most recent census of rabbits owned by hobby breeders in 2020, which took place under the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture. The Ministry stated that in 2020 there were 4,680,000 rabbits in the Czech Republic. The current potential incidence of malocclusion was calculated as being 261, 062 individuals, for hypospadias the number was 157,136, for cryptorchidism the number was 78,984, for buphthalmia it was 79,815, and for alopecia and limb luxation the numbers were 59,861 and 18,291 respectively. The potential incidence of defects was collectively estimated at 655,149 rabbits, which is 14.1 % of the total population in this country. A possible solution to this situation was proposed in conclusion. Breeders should particularly focus on greater awareness regarding monitored and also other external hereditary defects and illnesses, so that these defects and illnesses can be identified on time and appropriately and such individuals can be eliminated from the gene pool. Breeders should also avoid inbreeding if they do not have sufficient professional or practical experience in relation to this issue.
Šlechtění a návrh standardu zakrslého saténového berana
MRÁZOVÁ, Veronika
The aim of this work was to create a draft for the breed standard of the dwarf satin mini-lop on the basis of information available in literature and from scientific sources. The proposed procedure for breeding a new breed was also executed within the terms of this work. An imaginary breeding pair consisting of representatives of both founding breeds for the new breed was put together. A punnet square was created according to the rules of genetics and Mendel's Laws, which generated a summary of genotypes originating through cross-breeding in the F2 filial generation from both founding breeds. A summary of actually bred individuals was also created from the aspect of exterior traits on the basis of the genotypes and the subsequent procedure for breeding was then proposed in order to achieve the corresponding proposed breed standard in all the bred individuals. According to the draft of the breed standard the dwarf satin mini-lop should have a thickset, short body, without a visible neck. The limbs should be moderately long and very substantial. The forelimbs should be straight. The head has a roman nose and is wide throughout the profile with slightly protruding large eyes. The ears are attached to both sides of the head in a horseshoe shape, with the openings facing the head and a space between the ears of 22 to 28 cm, forming bumps at the root, without any folds, fleshy, with abundant hair and are rounded at the ends. The fur should be dense, elastic, 1.8 to 2 cm long, very soft, with an unusual, very distinctive silky and glittery lustre. All the colours of breeds with normal coats given in the sample book of breeds are permitted without exceptions for spotting or patterns. The ideal weight is 1.20 to 1.40 kg.
Testing of potential capability of chiral ionic liquids with long alkyl chain in capillary electrophoresis chiral separations I

Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Analytical Chemistry Candidate: Veronika Mrázová Supervisor: PharmDr. Pavel Jáč, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Testing of potential capability of chiral ionic liquids with long alkyl chain in capillary electrophoresis chiral separations I The main aim of this diploma thesis was testing of novel chiral ionic liquids as chiral selectors in capillary electrophoresis for the potential application in chiral separations of model compounds (mainly of pharmaceutical importance). The analysis was realized by micellar electrokinetic chromatography since the tested chiral ionic liquids were cationic surfactants. The examined electrolytes were formed by different buffers of various pH values and with different concentration of chiral ionic liquids. The separation took place in fused silica capillary (50 µm diameter, 48.5 cm total length, 40 cm effective length). The UV detection was performed at different wavelengths according to the structural features of model compounds. The separation always resulted in one peak; it means that the tested chiral ionic liquids did not show any capability in enantioseparation of model analytes. This observation can probably be explained by electrostatic interaction (between negatively charged...
