Use of ITIL in the organization

The aim of this paper is to introduce the possibility of using the ITIL framework in the organization and the management of services, or IT Service Management. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part focuses on the general presentation of the ITIL framework. In this part the reader will be familiar with the history and origin of the ITIL framework itself, its general operating principles, characteristics, and ultimately there will also be presented comparing the various versions of the ITIL framework, including linkage to other frameworks and standards. The second part aims to present the practical possibility of using ITIL within the organization, but they are not directly mentioned, in order to avoid possible damage resulting from the company's presentation of some internal processes and principles. For the purpose of this study, however, will be fully adequate to characterize the company only of a few aspects that make possible to demonstrate the possibilities of using the ITIL framework. Since the ITIL framework is very comprehensive and extensive, it would be in the range of this work in practice to introduce the possibility of using the ITIL framework, and therefore work will focus on one of the key processes, which is the process of Change Management (Change Management). The content of the practical work is mainly an analysis of the current state of implementation of the change management process, its evaluation and formulation of recommendations for streamlining.
The development of the IT project management methods

This case study describes the development of Project Management as a specific discipline and the development of methods of information technologies project management. The case study objective is to describe the general development of the discipline and then dwell on the development of methods of IT project management and determine criteria for choosing appropriate methods for projects and firms. In the case study there is a definition of project management as a specific discipline with the description of the basic terms. Then there is the description of the phases of the discipline development indicating events important for the discipline development. Thereafter is the more detailed description of the chosen IT project management methods with the following comparison of the methods according to the defined criteria. In the end there is a description of three projects and three IT firms, and basing on the method comparison the preferable method for the situation is determined.
Possibilities and conditions of increasing the competition abilities of companies by social networks

In this diploma thesis I deal with possibilities and conditions of increasing the competition abilities of companies by social networks. In the theoretical part I target essence and history of formation of social networks. I also looked at basic principles of their behaviour and discribed their sources of income. In the practical part I used various statistics of popularity and I chose social networks which can offer the highest increase of share at the market to companies which are interested. Consecutively I created analysis of penetration of chosen social networks to czech bussiness environment and I gave an objective account on this issue using case studies of the companies. At the end I suggested principles for successful managing of social networks comunity which should lead towards the increase of the ability to compete. The thesis will not be the most extensive one analysing social networks but it is a good summary of theoretical and practical knowledge and will serve as a very good inspiration for deeper research of with possibilities and conditions of increasing the competition abilities of companies by social networks.
SEO optimalization problems concerning function of search engines

The aim of this work is to describe the SEO optimalization problems concerning function of search engines. In the theoretical part it describes basic architecture and function of search engines: the way it crawls the web, creates index and evaluation pagerank and also the way it creates search engine results page. In the practical part there is a test of function of the search engines in reality. On its basis some suggestions on improvement of the contemporary functionality are made.

Internet is the information channel for the new millennium. Practically every businessman who had intend and mainly need to inform about his services, had to use some information channel. Especially press, radio and since the mid-twentieth century the television. Ability of being publicly known is simply one of the basic elements for successful business. Who was not able of that, failed. And also today, in digital era, it can be very unwise to underestimate power of the presentation on the internet. This thesis handles options and ways for publication of such a presentation. Too many variations and large number of providers makes this combination even more tricky. The objective of this work is to help every new or existing business-greedy person to get oriented on the Czech hosting market and help them to choose the right place for their internet presentation.

The aim of this work is a valuable text on website optimization. The reason is lack of literature with this theme in the Czech market, especially in the Czech language. Purpose of the study is also its biggest asset, it may serve other students, but also to others who are interested in the topic. For this to happen, the work is written in a language close to readers, but also contains essential information to get familiar with website optimization. Part of this work is not only popular SEO optimization, but also the functionality and graphics (design) of web pages and a separate chapter is dedicated to copywriting. At the conclusion of the work is carried out a practical analysis, which is to assess the current state of web pages from the perspective of optimization.
Hardware for Small Companies

I have been encountering the concept of hardware for many years and I am really interested in it. That is why I have decided to deepen my knowledge in this subject field and to write the thesis named Hardware for Small Companies. At the present time, when the modern technologies are used in many departments, is hardware becoming more and more demanded goods. Also the fact, that hardware as a structural unity cannot be upgraded to more efficient unit, may assist. If the user wants to upgrade one concrete part, he can't do anything else than to buy a new, upgraded unit. The spectrum of the hardware conception is very wide and I pursue mainly the part, which can be used in the small company environment and its accessibility at the Czech market. Then I mention the history of hardware and its prominent world producers. Writing the theoretical part, I used web-based sources and the scientific literature, that is concerned with the conception of hardware the most. Writing the practical part, I made use of the knowledge that I got from my studies and from the online offers of the prominent hardware suppliers. The main contribution of the thesis is the project described in the practical part. This project will serve as a rough basis for getting a capital grant for the creation of the new training center in the pension Dubina in Litoměřice.
E-mail as a communication tool

As the theme of my Bachelor thesis I have chosen "E-mail as a communication tool". The reason for choosing this was the fact that a lot of people uses this communication method for its distinct advantages everyday. The number of people who communicate constantly grows. I belong to this group too and that is why I have decided to penetrate the functioning of this form of communication and discover what options e-mail offers to users. In my thesis I pursue several objectives. The first one is to chart history, present and possible future development of e-mail. I also deal with the issue how and in which environment e-mail works and what its forms of exploitation and abuse are. The next target is to compare six selected free mail providers on the basis of multi-criteria analysis and to compare its results with the results resulting from the questionnaire drawn up by me. For theoretical part of my thesis I use literature and information from the Internet as a source of information. At the practical section I work mainly with portals of individual free mail providers and the findings of the questionnaire. I can see the benefits of my thesis in the fact that through to this thesis the reader can obtain a complete picture of e-mail without wasting their time searching information in different sources. It can also serve as a help in selecting an appropriate provider. The thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical and practical one. In the theoretical part I explain basic concepts needed to understand the next part which deals with the construction and operation of e-mail. The practical part compares the free mail providers on the basis of my own analysis and analysis of information from the questionnaire.
Creation of learning block of IT Project Portfolio Management

This thesis is focused on IT Project Portfolio Management and the creation of tools for teaching it. The objectives are first to summarize the evolution of IT Project Portfolio Management, then to extend the current process of project selection with other elements and points of view, and also to create a software tool for teaching IT Project Portfolio Management. The thesis deals with the emergence and subsequent development of IT Project Portfolio Management and its benefits, problems, and concepts, which are necessary for deeper understanding of the issue. Furthermore, the thesis describes the cycle of IT Project Portfolio Management and highlights the important moments and trends. In addition, it focuses on the processes used in the context of portfolio management and its impact on the company and its employees. It also lists some options how to limit its and how to improve the quality of project plans. The focus of the thesis is also on the process of criteria selection and ways of obtaining appropriate weights of criteria and on other methods of selecting projects. The last chapter contains a manual how to work with the attached MS Excel file. The file provides a tool for the assessment of projects.
E-mail a jeho zneužívání

Cílem práce je pokusit se zmapovat historii, popsat současný stav a možný vývoj (trendy) v oblasti zneužívání e-mailu. Shrnout postupy prevence a obrany proti nevyžádané poště. Zároveň vytvořit přehled právních úprav v oblasti zneužívání elektronické komunikace. Hlavní cíl práce spočívá ve formulování doporučení pro uživatele e-mailu, jak snížit nebezpečí spojené s jeho používáním.
