Methods and techniques of private funding of nongovernmental nonprofit organizations

The use of private sources in nongovernmental nonprofit organizations funding is a very topical issue that needs to be addressed for the successful, effective and long-term functioning of such organizations. This diploma thesis - Methods and techniques of private funding of nongovernmental nonprofit organizations - is focused on fundraising in terms of both its theoretical ground and the practical use. Fundraising is introduced as an integral part of the routine activities of nonprofit organizations that helps to ensure sufficient funds for implementing the organizations' mission. This thesis discusses the theoretical ground for fundraising as a separate field, including the legislative framework for nongovernmental nonprofit organizations in the Czech Republic. The specifics of individual private donors when obtaining adequate funds are also distinguished. It further describes the use of specific methods and techniques of fundraising practice. The research part provides insight into areas of private funding by searching for examples of corporate fundraising best practices in selected foundation subjects in the social sphere.
Business plan of a medical service providing complex counseling to the general population and athletes

This thesis introduces the current state health of the population of the Czech Republic, addressing mainly the steep increase in diseases of civilization. Diseases which are mainly the result of an inappropriate lifestyle. The aim of this work is the development of a business plan leading to the establishment of a company that will provide services in the field of nutrition counseling, physiotherapy, regeneration and physical activities. The theoretical part of this work defines the basic concepts and assumptions which are the building blocks of this thesis. Specifically, the tools for strategic management and business plan requirements. Furthermore, the theoretical part defines concepts such as health and a healthy lifestyle. The practical part of this thesis includes a research and analysis section which form the basis for the creation of the business plan. Methodologically, quantitative research was applied. A technically structured questionnaire was used to gain the required data. The analytical part then goes on to include an analysis of the general and business environments, or, to be precise, of the internal environment. Personal management of Junák

This diploma thesis investigates the human resource management in Junak. It focuses on the basic organisational units in Junak. The topic of the diploma thesis follows the personal areas from Strategy 2022, which contains visions that are supposed to be fullfilled by 2022. The aim of this study is to monitor the practice of human resource management in organisational units with good people management. The theoretical part involves explanations of human resource management fundamental terms and engages in relevant subjects which are related. The empirical part is divided into two areas. The first one introduces the Scout movement in general, the Scout organisation in Great Britain and the organisation Junak and its strategy. It describes the organisational structures and focuses on the department of human resource management and support for volunteers. The second area is the research itself. Sixty Scout units were chosen for the study. I addressed 18 leaders of units according to some qualitative indicators and special recommendations, 14 interviews took place. Assessment of employees as a factor stimulation of working performance of health care workers

The thesis is focused on the system of the staff evaluation and its influence and increase of the work performance of the health care of workers. The thesis is structured into two main parts, which are the theoretical part and the research. The first part provides a comprehensive overview of the theoretical knowledge that is necessary for understanding of the mentioned topic. It is divided into several sub-units, in which is described work performance itself, both in the general and in the specification of the health services. Furthermore, there is a part dealing with the motivation of the work performance and last but not least is the content focused on the own staff evaluation - its forms, methods and recommended procedure for the introduction of staff evaluation process in the organization. There is also presented a list of possible use of the outputs from the staff evaluation for further personnel work in conclusion of this part. The main research of my diploma is the competence of social workers and personal care attendants. In this work I focus on the definition of terms of social work competence and adaptation of the Australian competency model for the conditions of social services in the Czech Republic. I also focus on the design of the change process and its implementation - the application of competence model to the organization of social services for retired people. The design of the competency model is compiled of the non-profit organization ŽIVOT 90 which focuses on helping seniors. It can be used to select staff, set up or improve the adaptation process of new employees, evaluate and develop existing employees in the team, and for possible career changes. Conditions supporting reflexive practise in child welfare agency

The present diploma thesis focuses on the reflective practice in the context of Social and Legal Protection of Children. The purpose of this work, which​'s ​design is empirical, is to respond the following research question: in what way the reflecting practice is applied by the social workers in the field of Social and Legal Protection of Children, what external resources can the social workers take advantage of and what obstacles are blocking their reflective practice. The research study part of this thesis aims to provide the description of the environment of the social work in this domain and, consequently, to define the term reflective practice for the research purposes. The following research is designed as a qualitative case study which identificates the forms of reflection used by the social female workers, its supportive factors as well as the restraining ones. In the final part of this thesis, based on the results of the case study, the recommendations for development of the reflective practice in the Social and Legal Protection of Children institutional departments are formulated.
7 Habits and principles of management

This thesis aims to identify the principles that managers use in their work. The work of Stephen Covey "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" is used as an object of research. Primarily, a Covey's claim that the 7 habits are universal and timeless is analyzed, in an effort to identify universal principles of effectivity and their relationship to management. All of the habits are paraphrased and compared to the work of other popular authors from the area of social sciences. Subsequently, a comparison between the 7 habits and historical development of organization theory and its lessons is conducted. Further along, a description of critical reflection of the 7 habits from five standpoints is presented: post-modern, feminism, critical pedagogy, non-functionalism and exclusive representation. Finally, the author of the thesis presents his personal experience with implementing the 7 habits in his professional and personal life. From the findings, this thesis comes to the conclusion that Covey's system of 7 habits is possibly a quality source of information when searching for universal principles of effectivity. Teambuilding activities and their connection with social corporate responsibility

This diploma thesis focuses on teambuilding and corporate social responsibility. These concepts are used increasingly, however, their meaning may vary significantly in different contexts. The theoretical part of this thesis presents different approaches in understanding these concepts, their historical development and gathered information about linking teambuilding activities with corporate social responsibility. The theoretical part of this thesis is followed by an empirical part in which my own research is being presented. Using a qualitative research strategy the subject of this thesis is analyzed within nineteen semi- structured interviews. Finally the teambuilding activities and their linking to corporate social responsibility in selected sample of organizations are demonstrated.
Establishment of a community center, preparation of an application for a support from EU funds and it's difficulties

This diploma thesis deals with the problem of community social work in a small town and the planning of new social services to be convinient for the real needs of the community. The thesis also deals with possible difficulties which the municipality can encounter to as applicant for a grant from the Integrated Regional Operational Program (call no. 74 Development of polyfunctional community centers infrastructure). It also focuses on the topic of sustainability of the project. The aim of this diploma thesis is to theoretically define the community centers and community social work and to describe the possibilities of drawing funds from the EU fund and the process of preparing the application and its difficulties.
Knowledge management of nurses inside learning organization

This diploma thesis deals with the process of learning, knowledge management and the concept of learning organization as strategic directions in the field of education, learning and development of employees. The theoretical part describes knowledge management as an essential part of the management of a successfully functioning and continuously developing organization, which is exposed to increasing pressure of competition, demanding clients and economic burden. In this case the setting of corporate culture towards the learning organization is equally important. Since the organization set up in this direction has created a suitable environment for the effective development of knowledge, skills and experience, not only in the classical form of lifelong learning, which is given in case of the general nurses by legislation, but above all the creation, development and transfer of knowledge between individuals and the team is emphasized.
