Modelling the course of extreme floods in the context of landscape changes and integrated flood protection
Jeníček, Michal ; Langhammer, Jakub (advisor) ; Zezulák, Jiří (referee) ; Szolgay, Ján (referee)
Introduction Floods mean a considerable hazard for mankind. Effective protection against their impact represents one of the basic hydrology and water management tasks. The conception of flood protection came tfuough development reflecting the progress in natural processes description, flood experiences and also improvement in technology possibilities enabling better computation of flood measures effectiveness. Cunently centralized flood protection concept is replaced with íntegrated flood protection concept (Langhammer et al., 2008b; Dumbrovský et al., 2006)' which gives the complex flood protection solution for the whole basin by means of smaller, close{o-natural measures, such as small retention reservoirs. land use change, suitable agrotechnical principles etc. The thesis can be divided into three main parts that form three main pillars ofintegrated flood protection. These pillars are represented by three case studies. First study was made in Blanice River basin. It computes flood extreme changes in condition of changing landscape. Results could lead to positive land cover change which could cause the flood peak decrease. Second study was made in Chomutovka River catchment (Ore Mts.). It quantifies dry retention reservoirs impact on the course of floods by different precipitation extremities. Third study...
Security testing of selected communication protocols and related vulnerabilities
Kuklovský, Adam ; Langhammer, Lukáš (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
This master’s thesis extensively addresses the functionality and characteristics of the IPv6 protocol and its control protocol ICMPv6. Furthermore, the thesis discusses methods of penetration testing and technologies used in creating the testing environment. A key output of this work is a network scanning tool that has been compared with the popular Wireshark program. The conclusion describes the structure of the proposed tool and suggests possibilities for its future development and improvement.
Application explaining the principles of IP addressing
Bukovinský, Denis ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Langhammer, Lukáš (advisor)
This master's thesis presents the design and development of an application for teaching IP addressing in computer networks. The application includes a network simulator and an editor, allowing students to work with a predefined network topology, assign addresses to subnets, and customize the network as needed. It verifies the correctness of address assignments and detects address conflicts. The thesis covers theoretical background, implementation details, and testing of the application. The developed tool provides a valuable resource for students, facilitating their understanding and practice of IP addressing concepts in network education.
Design and analysis of electronically reconfigurable filtering structures
Kříčka, Tomáš ; Dvořák, Jan (referee) ; Langhammer, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the proposal of analog filters with the ability of the electronic reconfiguration. The main aim was to propose three fully electronically reconfigurable filters using different methods. The work focuses on the use of modern active elements that ensure the electronic reconfiguration. Specifically on operational transconductivity amplifiers, second-generation current conveyors and current amplifiers. The transfer functions are simulated in the Orcad PSpice software, at the ideal and behavioral level. Sensitivity and parasitic analysis is applied to the two proposed filtration structures. Both structures are made on printed circuit boards, which are measured and then their transfer functions are compared with the simulated functions.
Hydromorphological survey of the Bilina River
Kyselka, Jan ; Matoušková, Milada (advisor) ; Langhammer, Jakub (referee)
The main aim of this thesis is assessment and presentation of results of the hydromorphological survey of the Bílina river, which belongs to rivers with the biggest anthropogenic impact in the Czech Republic. The method Hydroecological monitoring (HEM, Langhammer, 2007) was used for the survey. This method is compatible with the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC. 53 parts of the river with the lenght 31,99 km were assessed. The thesis also includes assessement of the rainoff regime and information about protection of water ecosystems and sources in the Bílina river basin. Keywords: hydromorphology, HEM, Bílina river
Analogue emulators of fractional-order circuits
Kubát, Pavel ; Langhammer, Lukáš (referee) ; Dvořák, Jan (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with circuits contain fractional-order elements. The first part of this paper deals with this problem, there were also described methods of design fractionalorder elements and types of circuits containing the fractiona-order elements which can be applied in practice. Used active elements for practical part can be found in the second chapter. Design of GIC circuits and implementation of fractional-order element inside the circuit are shown in the last chapture. Parasitic analysis and stability of frequency filter containing fractional-order element had been also described.
Creation of new laboratory exercises explaining the principles of communication protocols
Babjarčiková, Lenka ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Langhammer, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to create two laboratory exercises in ns-3 network simulator for chosen communication protocols. The chosen protocols are BGP and ICMPv6. The first part of this thesis contains teoretical knowledge used in order to design laboratory exercise. It contains descriptions of funcionality of both protocols and messages they use. This chapter also includes brief description of three options which were considered for implementation of BGP protocol into ns-3 enviroment. The second chapter consists of actual laboratory exercises which were created as a purpose of this thesis. Exercise for BGP protocol deals with creating neighborhoods between routers at autonomous system level, analyzing the way routers communicate within their neighborhoods and how protocol reacts when the connection between two neighbor routers fails. Exercise created for ICMPv6 protocol is focused on its messages and their usage within multiple protocol funcionalities, such as address configuration, link address resolution and error detection.
Utilization of Wireshark software in Communication technology course
Šíma, Jan ; Langhammer, Lukáš (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the issue with protocol set TCP/IP. Specifically it is about protocols ICMP, TCP, DNS, SIP and RTP. Main purpose of this thesis is to create two complex scenarios suitable for laboratory exercises for Communication technology course. The scenarios contain instructions with the solution procedure for students, including additional tasks. The first scenario introduces students to the Wireshark environment. Furthermore, this program is used to analyze captured packets, which were described in the theoretical part of the work. To capture packets of certain protocols, the command line and ping, traceroute, and nslookup commands, including their parameters, are also used in the scenario. The second scenario focuses on the VoIP call analysis, including the restoration of the captured call. The second part of this scenario compares differences between protocols TCP+TLS and QUIC while loading the secured web page. Both scenarios were tested in a school laboratory, where the scenarios are developed in a virtualized operating system. Also, each scenario contains additional questions for students and for teacher there is prepared a file, which contains the correct answers.
Synthesis of the electronically reconfigurable frequency filters
Michalička, Filip ; Dvořák, Jan (referee) ; Langhammer, Lukáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design of reconection-less electronically reconfigurable filter structures which have single input and single output using unconventional active elements, which have ability to adjust one of their parameter e.g. gain or transconductance. The first part describes basic parameters of frequency filters, the division of filters by frequency transfer response and used circuit elements, their operational modes, the principle of reconnection-less electronically reconfiguration and the circuit design method MUNV. Second part describes all active elements used in the proposal of filters, their properties and the implementation using existing transistor-level models. The third part contains the design of three reconnection-less electronically reconfigurable filters and the simulations results obtained from simulation programs OrCAD Capture and PSpice. The obtained results were compared with theoretical behaviour. This part also contains results of these analyses: sensitivity, parasitic, Monte Carlo and temperature to determine the behaviour in varied cases.
