Agricultural party in the years 1920-1921
Czechoslovakian-Italian relations from the march on Rome until the Locarno conference
Černá, Zuzana ; Kvaček, Robert (advisor) ; Čechurová, Jana (referee)
This rigorous thesis deals with the issue of political and diplomatical relationship between Czechoslovakia and Italy during 3 years from the March on Rome in 1922, by which Mussolini's National Fascist Party came to power in Italy until the Locarno Conference in 1925. The aim is to analyse the factors influencing relations between these two countries in the respective period. My work does not focus on bilateral associations solely, relations between the two countries are to be scrutinized within the frame of broader contingencies of the development in Europe in the twenties of the 201 h century, primarily under the angle of the active politics of both countries Czechoslovakia and Italy in the Central-European space. I have been looking for common and contradictive phenomenons ofboth nations on the background of the European events of that time.
Czechs and Slovaks in the country of helvetian cross: czechoslovak expatriate clubs in Switzerland in the second half of the 20th century
Dörner, Petr ; Čechurová, Jana (advisor) ; Kvaček, Robert (referee)
This thesis deals with the development and activities of compatriot organizations of Czechs and Slovaks in the 20th century that were associated in the Union of clubs of Czechs and Slovaks in Switzerland. The first clubs, which did not last long, were established in the 1860s. The origins of more stable organizations date back to the beginning of the twentieth century, when clubs such as Czechoslovak Beseda Slovan in Geneva and Czechoslovak Beseda Svatopluk Čech in Zurich were established. These organizations expanded after the big emigrant wave caused by the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia. This period between the years 1968 and 1990 is the main objective of the following research. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one introduces some basic notions needed for the thesis and puts the existence of compatriot clubs in Switzerland in a broader context. At the same time, it deals with the most important emigrant waves from Czechoslovakia with emphasis on those emigrants that left for Switzerland. The second chapter deals with the very development of compatriot movement in Switzerland before the critical year 1968. Furthermore, this chapter is divided into various sections on the basis of selecting important turning points in the development of compatriot organizations, such as...

The most popular game all over the world has entered the territory of Bohemia already in the last decades of the 19th century, when especially in the cities and suburbs of Prague many Czech or German societies, engaged in new game from England called "football", was founded. Sudden and long lasting interruption of positive development of young sport by mobilization in the summer of 1914 and deep political and social changes after conflict isolated prewar events and made unique relict environment that creates the main sources for ideas of work. However chapters leaving sport performances aside and try to describe the period culminating after year 1900, when profesional player was born of student-enthusiast and when club loyalities based on nationality or social inclusion of spectator have been created. Jerie, Denis ; Kvaček, Robert (advisor) ; Rychlík, Jan (referee)
This study treats about metamorphosis of diplomatic interrelations between France and Czechoslovakia in the first half of 1938. The main person is french envoy in Prague Victor de Lacroix. French-czechoslovakian diplomatic interrelations was closely connected with other countires, mainly Great Britain, Germany and not least Poland, Romania, Yugoslavia, Soviet Union, Italy, Austria and Hungary. In the twenties of the twenty century France build up community of allied states in the central Europe, especialIy for defence before Germany. France was vital interested in keeping of this system. Czechoslovakia was in this case the most loyal allie. General intemational situation in the thirties clamour for postwar revision status quo and take France aside from the centrale Europe. In this tendency France was support by Great Britain which was ready to make concessions. Czechoslovakia was expose to critical pressure of Germany after the anschluss of Austria in march 1938. In the case of German aggression towards Czechoslovakia France was binding to help on the basis of agreements from 1924 and 1925. The french diplomacy however wasn't able keep apromise. France searches for the support in Great Britain which leeds them from the alIiance with Czechoslovakia.

A post-war policy ofthe Czechoslovak Communist Party from 1945-1946 (from the Košický programme to the parliamentary election in 1946)
Duchoslav, Petr ; Kvaček, Robert (advisor) ; Rychlík, Jan (referee)
This work, in detail, deals with the post-war policy ofthe Czechoslovak communist party in 1945-1946. It is defined on one side by the restoration ofthe party and on the other side by the parliamentary election in 1946. The parliamentary election in 1946 ended the first phase of the party' s tactics, whose aim was to infiltrate the state mechanism and, at the same time, the election built optimal conditions for the party to finally eliminate its political enemies and seize absolute power. I have deliberately chosen this demarcation because it takes a key place in the development of the party' s political tactics, and not a period ending in astate coup ď etat in 1948. This approach would have been possible but it might have ended up growing into a simple description in which all the important and relevant matters of the party' s programme and political strategy were left out. The very core ofthis work is made of a post-war policy analysis of The Czechoslovak Communist Party, its historical development in an overall domestic and intemational context. It particularly focuses on the following crucial issues: 1. a post-war restoration of the party; 2. The party's policy in a period ofThe Provisional National Assembly (TPNA); 3. The 8th convention ofThe Czechoslovak Communist Party; 4. The May 1946 election. This...
