Experimental data processing for calibration of isotropic hardening model
Chlaň, Jakub ; Kubík, Petr (referee) ; Šebek, František (advisor)
The main aim of the present bachelor's thesis is to create a universally applicable script, which is used for the data processing of the fatigue test in order to calibrate the isotropic hardening model. The theoretical part is devoted to the phenomenon of cyclic hardening/softening, the mathematical models of hardening and last but not least, the practice of fatigue tests together with the possibilities of their evaluation. The rest of the work includes the algorithm creation procedure and demonstration of its functionality by processing data from fatigue tests of alloy AlCu4Mg1.
Computational analysis of a car axle arm opening
Procházka, Vojtěch ; Kubík, Petr (referee) ; Petruška, Jindřich (advisor)
This thesis is focused on behavior of control arm opening with bushing pressed in. The tested component is a part of control arm of a car. The parts were tested in tensile and compressive strength. Real experiments were measured by optical system Aramis during the testing to determine deformations of the part. These tests are also modeled by a finite element method using an Abaqus software. In GOM Correlate software is created full-field comparison of deformation results from Aramis and FEA. Based on this comparison computational model is calibrated. Sensitivity analysis is performed at the end of the thesis.
Design and examination of parameters of the line stock loop for sheet metal processing
Novák, Tomáš ; Šebek, František (referee) ; Kubík, Petr (advisor)
Master thesis is focused on determination of stress and deformation state of metal sheet in stock loops of non-standard dimension. The main goal was creating numerical model and de-termination of maximal possible stock of metal sheet for all requested parameters. The problem was solved using Finite element methods in the software ANSYS. Results were handed to ŽĎAS, a.s. corporation, where they will be used for design of the lines for metal sheet proces-sing of non-standard dimension. Another goal was estimation, how the residual stress in metal sheet can effect the observed stress state.
The usage of Impact FEM workbench for task solution in the field of solid mechanics
Ferenc, Filip ; Kubík, Petr (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on calculating the main tasks in the field of solid mechanic with usage Impact FEM. At the beginning, there is some basic information about a numerical calcu-lation focusing on the Finite element method. The second part deals with Impact FEM pro-gramme description and model preparation. The main part of this thesis are examples of the tasks which I evaluated by Impact FEM. Results of those calculations were compared to the results obtained by analytic calculations and programme Ansys Workbench. Based on those verification calculations, I consider the Impact FEM programme is not able to calculate the main tasks of solid mechanic at this moment but it may be useful as a learning tool.
Parametric study of the absorption element of the rear part of the vehicle
Vražina, Lukáš ; Kubík, Petr (referee) ; Šebek, František (advisor)
In 1995 was published a regulation from RCAR company which determines rules for crash tests in maximum speed of 15 km/h on vehicles lighter than 2,5 ton. The main reason was to reduce costs for car reparation in case of crash in low speed. My diploma thesis is focused on the modifications of deformation part in the car alias absorption part of the vehicle. In the first part of my diploma thesis has been done a research about organisations doing basic car crashes as well as topic focused on nonlinear mechanics and description of explicit FEM. In the second part of my work are settled conditions for crash simulation of a barrier into the car. There is an evaluation of critical force on the stringer. Afterwards the calculating simulation simplified on loading of absorption part and there are some material and form adjustments. In the final part of my diploma thesis is done a result comparison and development of the absorption part.
Calculation of natural frequencies of a bar system using finite element method
Svoboda, Petr ; Kubík, Petr (referee) ; Návrat, Tomáš (advisor)
The task of the presented bachelor thesis has been to program an algorithm of the finite element method to calculate natural frequencies of beam systems. To solve this problem a freely available SW products (Python, libraries NumPy, SciPy, Fortran compiler etc.) should have been primarily used and thereby to check possibilities of freely available SW product application in science purposes in the field of the Continuum Mechanics tasks. For a functionality verification of the program the ANSYS code is to be used.
PDF Text Extraction
Kubík, Petr ; Otrusina, Lubomír (referee) ; Schmidt, Marek (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is concerned with text extraction from PDF dokument which contains mainly multi-column text. There's a description of PDF structure and analysis of text extraction from PDF document. Thesis is focused on suggestion of algorithm's implementation of improving text extraction.
A simulation of closed die forging using finite element method
The diploma work is aimed at a complex design of a delivery van of the near future. The need for a delivery van to be used as a working tool is constantly evolving. This is namely caused by the expansion of on-line shops & the need to save on running cost of a business. The delivery van is especially designed for use in city traffic. The innovation reveals a single person cabin with panoramatic view, ecological propulsion of the vehicle and the technical solution to the suspension of wheels which allow the turning of all 4 wheels to an angle ranging from -55° to +90°. As a result the vehicle has the ability to perpendicularly drive up to a pavement, fitting in a very narrow space. In addition, it can freely drive forward or backward in a sideway direction. The loading space of the delivery van and its floor is modified as such to allow for one man manipulation, making loading & unloading of goods a simpler task.
Computational modeling by using the remeshing method in FEM program Abaqus
Zářecký, Tomáš ; Šebek, František (referee) ; Kubík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is about theoretical basics of finite element method and remeshing methods available in Abaqus. These are adaptive remeshing, mesh-to-mesh solution mapping and ALE adaptive meshing. Selected methods are shown in several exercises. Results are compared to the analytical solution and the solution without use of remeshing methods.
