Binding Opinions as an Instrument of the Environmental Protection Abstract The thesis deals with binding opinions issued in the field of environment. Its primary objective is to evaluate whether binding opinions fulfil the role of an effective and appropriate instrument of environmental protection in the context of the adopted reform of public building law. In addition to an unnumbered introduction and conclusion, it is divided into four parts. The first part deals with binding opinions from the perspective of general administrative law and their enshrinement in the Administrative Procedure Code. In particular, it focuses on their general definition, the process of issuing and the issues of review in both administrative proceedings and administrative court proceedings. The second part provides a basic definition of the respective authorities, with an emphasis on the regulation of the status of the respective authorities in the field of the environment. It focuses in particular on their institutional setting and powers. It does not fail to introduce several proceedings under various laws in which the respective authorities are involved. This bachelor thesis deals with the financial analysis of Renocar for the period 2011-2015. The objective is to assess the overall financial position of the company using appropriate instruments. The thesis is based on publicly available information and is divided into two parts - methodological and practical. The methodological part is focused on description of methods of financial analysis, which will be applied to Renocar in the practical part. The conclusion includes a summary of the company's financial position over the reporting period and recommendations for the future.

Strategic analysis of the company Adventure World s. r. o.

This thesis focuses on strategic analysis of the company Adventure World s. r. o. operating escape games in Prague. The goal of the thesis is to suggest strategic recommendations for further company development. The theoretical part deals with defining basic terminology and describing process of strategy formulation. In the practical part analytical tools described earlier are applied to analysis. In order to analyze external environment, the PEST framework is used. To illustrate the industry environment, 5 competitive forces analysis, map of strategic groups is used. In examining the internal firms conditions, the strategic resources and capabilities are identified through the value chain framework. Analyses findings are summarized in SWOT matrix, then strategy alternatives are generated. In conclusion, the author suggests the wording of the organization mission and updated vision, strategic goals, then author specifies actions, that are meant to fulfill those goals.

Risk management in Corporate Governance

The objective of this master's thesis is to describe and analyze role of risk management in corporate governance. Specifically, a thesis focuses on comparison of existing practices in chosen states and examines whether quality of risk management in corporate governance is different in large and mid capitalaization companies. The thesis is divided into several parts: firstly, theory of corporate governance and risk management are introduced with explanation of their interconnection, which also contain defined list of methods and tools for evaluation of risk management and corporate governance quality. In the analytical part of the thesis, comparative analysis of risk management practices in different states is applied with evaluation of their quality, methods of statistical analysis are employed to test the hypothesis about difference of risk management quality in companies with large and mid capitalization and strength and weaknesses of corporate governance and risk management in particular states are summarized.

Changes in corporate governance regarding private law recodification

The primary aim of this thesis is to conduct a comparative analysis of the former and the current private law regulations concerning governance of joint-stock companies. What this thesis mainly focuses on are practical impacts of the change and problematic areas which are uncertain to interpret. This work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical application. The former deals with the definition of the term corporate governance, theoretical bases of corporate governance and governance models and theories. In the latter the most fundamental changes brought by the recodification are taken into consideration, these being the possibility of choice between monistic and dualistic corporate governance systems, adaptation to the new regulations and the changes regarding the statutory representative. In this section, the thesis comments on the terms due care and and business judgement rule.

The main purpose of this thesis is to understand if Investors working in Private Equity and Venture Capital understand what corporate culture is and take it into account when deciding whether to invest or not in a startup or a target company. In order to reach this goal, an empirical research has been developed, interviewing a sample of private equity fund managers and professional business angels, selected randomly and without any personal connection to the author.

Strategic analysis of Helmahof restaurant

This bachelor thesis is a strategic analysis of Helmahof restaurant. The aim is to assess current situation of the business and its external environment and suggest a possibility of a future growth. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and applied. In theoretical part I discuss methods and concepts that are subsequently applied in the second part. Main concepts are strategy, analysis of external and internal environment, synthesis and specifications of family-owned businesses. The second part is an application of the theory on the data available. It consists of PEST method, Porter´s analysis, financial and SWOT analyses. Subsequently, I mention my future recommendations and finally, I present my findings.

The essential goal of this bachelors thesis is to analyse the most important reasons, causes and consequences of hostile takeovers in corporate governance, and to do so on selected cases from the real corporate world. The structure of this thesis is divided into two parts. First is the theoretical part about the theory of corporate governance with its focus on the subject of takeovers. In the second part is the analysis of specific cases of hostile takeovers in the corporate world. The goal of this thesis is to extrapolate from these examples to show how they can be applied to the Czech economy, and also to show how recommendations can be derived from them.

The Islamic Finance and Banking

My thesis consists of two parts. The first part is the theoretical one, where I am going to introduce basic models of Islamic finance and banking. Assess the pros and cons of these models and the whole Islamic finance and banking industry. I will make a review of its history and find out reasons that have led to its creation. The second part is the practical one where I am going to find connections between the theoretical issues and data from the qualitative research method (in form of interviews with managers of Islamic banks)

Strategic Analysis of the Air Astana

The main goal of this bachelor thesis was the implementation of the strategic analysis and further formulation of strategic comments and recommendations for the Air Astana Company. This goal was reached by the identification of the strength and weaknesses of the company and opportunities and threats that can influence the company from the external environment. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part was described the theory of strategic management, strategy and different types of strategic analysis. Whereas the practical part is focused on the application of various types of strategic analysis for the Air Astana Company. In the conclusion were summarized all results of the strategic analysis of the Air Astana Company and provided strategical recommendations.
