	Determination of geotechnical and hydrogeological characteristic of soils and evaluation their suitability for building construction on selected locality in the Bohemian Masive Blahut, Dominik ; Krmíček, Lukáš (referee) ; Sluková, Michaela (advisor) The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the geotechnical and hydrogeological characteristics of the site in the Bohemian Masive. The first objective is search procedure description of the site and its adjacent areas. Futher work follows up the geotechnical survey that will be determined by simple dicest exposure work, especially a drilling probes. In the conclusion of the thesis is the collected soil tested in grain size distribution test, which will be used, along with empirical formulas, for inference of hydraulic conductivity. In overview part of the thesis are described selected methods for determining the physical-mechanical properties of the rocks as well as geology of the studied site. 	Mechanical properties of granitoid rocks of the Moldanubian batholith in the context of a planned deep underground radioactive waste repository Brabec, Marek ; Horák, Vladislav (referee) ; Krmíček, Lukáš (advisor) The author of this bachelor thesis carried out a study of the mechanical and physical properties of granites exposed both on Čeřínek hill, which represents the central part of the delineated polygon of the Hrádek site, and in the nearby active Rácov quarry near the village of Růžená. In the theoretical part of the thesis the author describes the geology of the investigated site and the methods used to determine the investigated properties. In the practical part of the thesis the results and outputs obtained from the measurements are mentioned and discused. Emphasized are the fillers that can be in polymers exposed on Johan Gregor Mendel Station under climatic conditions of Antarctica. Practical part of the thesis is focused on determination of mercury contents in a set of commercial mineral fillers (Dellite 67, Dellite 72, Nanofil 5, Cloisite Na 93A, Cloisite 30B) with respect to their potentional negative environmental impact on the sensitive Antarctic ecosystem. The Czech concept of a deep repository construction targets on crystalline host rocks. The dissertation focuses on combined petrographic and physico-mechanical properties (rebound hardness, uniaxial and triaxial compressive strength, indirect tensile strength) of crystalline rocks (durbachite, ganulite) from the most favoured localities – Horka near Velké Meziříčí and Kraví hora near Dolní Rožínka. 	The effect of temperature on the mechanical properties of greywacke Brabec, Marek ; Horák, Vladislav (referee) ; Krmíček, Lukáš (advisor) The author of this master's thesis studied the influence of high temperatures on Lower Carboniferous greywacke sampled in the Kobeřice quarry near Prostějov. Two sets of cylindrical bodies were produced, made of fine and relatively coarse-grained greywacke. The samples were then fired at temperatures up to 1200 °C. Thermally altered samples were then studied in laboratory using rock mechanics and petrography methods. Results of the study were then carefully interpreted to determine relations between the rock parameters, structural changes and the firing temperature. The master's thesis also contains a brief insight into rock thermomechanics, necessary theoretical background to the used methods and geological context of the Drahany Upland, where the samples of the tested greywacke were taken.
