Standardization of sexual-erotic stimuli for measurement of female sexual arousal
Krejčová, Lucie ; Klapilová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Pastor, Zlatko (referee)
The measurement of female sexual arousal within the primary research as well as in clinical practice suffers from several difficulties. In particular, the discrepancy between subjectively perceived sexual excitement and physiological arousal (e.g. change in vaginal pulse amplitude or in vaginal temperature) was found. Moreover, the enormous variability in subjective preferences of women for male stimuli appearance together with their low sexual reactivity to static visual erotic stimuli contribute to the fact that standardized set of erotic stimuli for women is recently not available. In our study, subjective and physiological arousal of women when exposed to 2 sets of sexual-erotic stimuli of different nature (directed erotic imagination and reading erotic texts) were measured (using plethysmography GETA). Sample of 20 women (in reproductive age without sexual issues) were used for purpose of standardization of developed stimuli set, including the evaluation of their suitability for sexual arousal assessment. The results show directed erotic imagination and erotic texts are suitable for measurement of sexual response. The effectiveness is demonstrated especially in detection of attitudes to sexuality and sexual activities.
Influence of birth order and sex of siblings on sexual behavior and preferences
Daňková, Hana ; Kuba, Radim (advisor) ; Krejčová, Lucie (referee)
Ontogeny of a human being is influenced by several innate and environmental factors. One of the key environmental factors is family, its structure, and the dynamics of family relationships. These can depend, among other things, on the birth order. Relatively a lot of research has been conducted to study the effect of birth order on humans, but the area of human sexuality is often neglected. Research in this area has so far yielded relatively inconsistent results and needs to be expanded further with new knowledge. That is the main goal of this diploma thesis. In our cross-sectional study, 4495 subjects from two-child families were analyzed. We performed a partial correlation analysis of birth order and selected variables related to human sexuality, considering the sex of siblings. Particular attention was paid to the first sexual experience, the number of sexual partners, sociosexual orientation (SOI-R), and dominant-submissive sexual preferences. We found that the order of birth is related to several of these variables (age of first sexual experience, number of sexual partners, sexual preferences), but the key role is played by the combination of the individual's gender and the sex of his sibling. These results should be followed up by more detailed research within specific families to verify the...
Nutrition in noncommunicable diseases prevention
Krejčová, Lucie ; Starnovská, Tamara (advisor) ; Kudlová, Eva (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the possibility of prevention of diseases of civilization from the point of view of nutrition; mainly the relationship between the quality of food consumed and these diseases. It also summarizes the findings of the questionnaire survey, which, according to the hypotheses, was focused on knowledge of nutritional recommendations, awareness of diseases of civilization and consumer preferences in the purchase and consumption of food. Key words: prevention, nutrition, ultra processed food, quality of food, noncommunicable diseases
Security Aspects of the Maritime Silk Road
Krejčová, Lucie ; Karmazin, Aleš (advisor) ; Romancov, Michael (referee)
The Silk road project has been announced in 2013 by Chinese president Xi Jinping as a reaction to economic crisis and following efforts to find new business partners and opportunities. Initiative restores the idea of the ancient Silk road and has two parts, maritime and overland. This bachelor thesis focuses on the New Silk Road and specifically its Maritime Silk Road Initiative of the 21st century, and area of the Indian ocean. At the beginning of this thesis I dedicate short chapter to the policies of the main actors in the Indian ocean to the initiative Belt and Road. For the purposes of my work I have chosen four port facilities. It is a port of Gwadar in the southwest of Pakistan, Hambantota port in the south region of Sri Lanka, Kyaukpyu port in the northwest of Myanmar and the Chinese naval base in Djibouti. I use two theoretical concepts in my thesis. The first concept is the geopolitical theory of Mahan, Mackinder and Spykman. As the second concept I have used the theoretical framework for the security by Barry Buzan, Ole Wæver and Jaap de Wilde, the representatives of the Copenhagen school. I have adjusted their sectoral division for the purposes of my research. Each of the cases was analysed based on four categories: Military sector, Political sector, Economic sector and Environmental...
Female orgasm and its relation to autoerotic and dyadic sexual behavior
Krejčová, Lucie ; Klapilová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Weiss, Petr (referee) ; Havlíček, Jan (referee)
The thesis focuses on female orgasm and its relation to autoerotic activities and dyadic sexual behavior. The first theoretical part focuses on theories describing the function of female orgasms and factors influencing its occurrence. The second part consists of four articles published in peer-reviewed journals. The first article is a review, focusing on the development of expert opinions over time, with specific regard to female orgasms and the division between clitoral and vaginal orgasm. The second article discusses the role of general relationship and sexual satisfaction with respect to the female orgasm. The third article examined the association between first autoerotic experiences and the occurrence of vaginal orgasm. Finally, the fourth article concerned the frequency of dyadic sexual activity and its relation to vaginal orgasm. The findings within each article indicate that autoerotic and dyadic sexual activities together with general relationship and sexual satisfaction have a positive influence on the occurrence of female orgasms.
