Environmental Impact Assessment by Machinery Products/Processes
Navrátilová, Jana ; Rozehnalová, Jana (referee) ; Krbalová, Maria (advisor)
This Diploma thesis is focused on the assessment of environmental load of a bottle crown cork. The theoretical part describes the current global environmental problems and a chosen environmental legislation, which may also apply to engineering companies. In thesis is included the description of a various methodologies for assessing the environmental load, from which was a method LCA (product life cycle assessment) for solving the problem chosen. The thesis describes the crown cork and its production. In practical part is made the environmental load evaluation of this product. Three variants of the crown cork are selected, whose life cycles are simulated and analysed. The results of the variants are afterwards compared.
Functional analysis of the design and used material suitability of the turbo-blower heat shield in terms of reliability in the conditions of a common road motor vehicle operation
Dvořáková, Tereza ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Krbalová, Maria (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with solving of the problem with heat shield used in a turbocharger for heavy duty vehicles. The description of the problem origin with focus on environmental standarts and therefore a need of changes in turbocharger construction, is included. Further, the procedure for finding the component failure causes using the results of stress tests and analyses performed is described step by step. Most of the practical part is focused on a use of quality tools for finding a root cause of heat shield failure and also on advanced material analysis, verifying the results from quality analysis performed. An the end of the thesis there are suggested and accepted measures for elimination of similar failure recurrence and recommendations for further development.
Implementation of selected environmental management system elements according to ISO 14001 in company
Bartolšic, Jan ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Krbalová, Maria (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with creation of environmental management system according to standard ISO 14001:2016 in a manufacturing plant. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the development of ecology worldwide, including its relation to industry, mandatory legislative requirements for an enterprise with the aspect of environmental protection, description of the systems EMAS and ISO 14001: 2016 and the comparison of their requirements. Finally, the theoretical part includes the introduction of the company in which the practical part of the work was implemented. The practical part of the thesis describes the requirements of individual chapters of ISO 14001: 2016 and they are compared with the actual state of company. Subsequently, the author of the thesis created all required documentation for the missing parts of the standard (e.g. environmental policy, environmental aspects, binding obligations of the company and others). This documentation should be implemented by the company in all its departments for successful certification according to ISO 14001: 2016.
Risk prevention in the production of masterbatches
Slovák, Tomáš ; Krbalová, Maria (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with risk prevention in the production of masterbatches in company Lifocolor, s.r.o. The theoretical part is focused on the overall risk management process, specifying individual methods of risk analysis. The following section pertains masterbatch production process. Analysis of history of disagreeable products, application of methods described in theoretical parts, their evaluation and design of corrective precautions are described in the practical part.
Placing Engineering Products on Market in the European Union
Vývodová, Veronika ; Opočenská, Hana (referee) ; Krbalová, Maria (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis concerns placing machinery products on market in the European Union, and summarizes the steps necessary for placing those products on the European market. The theoretical part summarizes the legislative requirements by the European Union, including the Czech Republic, which manufacturers must follow. The practical part applies findings to particular machinery, but is primarily focused on the identification of hazards and system risk analysis of a table drill. The practical part also includes an elaboration on the declaration of conformity.
Countinuous Improvement Process Deployment in sales, service and manufacturing company
Zvolánková, Kateřina ; Krbalová, Maria (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with a continuous improvement process in sales, service and manufacturing in company Bosch Rexroth Brno. The goal is to propose the improvement of mentioned processes. First part is devoted to a description of the actual situation and tools used to realize a continuous improvement. That includes an evaluation of their positives and negatives. Second part is focused on a proposal and a description of tools, which respond to important negative findings. Chosen tools are implemented into the continuous improvement process.
FMECA analysis of simple pressure vessel welding process
Kontšek, Marián ; Krbalová, Maria (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is dealing with researching the EU legislative and mapping the welding process of simple pressure vessel, elaborating the FMECA analysis of this process with subsequent proposal of precautional measures in critical points of this process, arising from this analysis.
Environmental Impact Assessment for Powder Coating Technology
Havlíček, Lukáš ; Mukhametzianova, Leisan (referee) ; Krbalová, Maria (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on evaluating an environmental impact of using LCA methodology. LCA is a methodology of powder varnishing. The first part of the thesis is concerned with technologies modifying metal surfaces. An analysis of LCA technology was executed and a technological process was described. As a part of theoretical part, a description of available methods evaluating environmental impact was made. According to description the LCA methodology was chosen. In practical part of the thesis an analysis of material and energetic inputs of each process was made.
Environmental Impact Assessment for Chosen Plastic Molding Technology
Dufková, Hana ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Krbalová, Maria (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with assessment of environmental load by selected plastic molding technology. The first part is focused on the ecological legislation in the field of mechanical engineering, which also includes the production of plastics, and describes various methodologies for assessing the environmental load. Another chapter is an overview of polymers and their properties as well as the possibilities of plastics processing with description of individual types of production methods. The practical part of this work describes the composition of the produced piece and the injection molding process of plastic production. Its two methods (direct gating and hot sprue method) are analyzed and then the environmental load evaluation is performed using the LCA method – product life cycle assessment. The environmental load of both production methods is assessed.
Environmental Impact Assessment for Chosen product
Durda, Tomáš ; Opočenská, Hana (referee) ; Krbalová, Maria (advisor)
The Master´s thesis is structurally divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the author describes current global environmental issues and the impact of the industry on the environment. The current state of the environmental legislation in mechanical engineering, environmental management systems, and methodologies of an environmental impact assessment are described. The practical part deals with the environmental burden of the snowboard production process according to the LCA method. Life cycle inventory is performed to evaluate individual materials whose production is the most environmentally damaging. At the last stage, possible measures are proposed to reduce the environmental burden.
