Post-mining Nature and Living Conditions in Kladno Region and their Perception by Pupils of the Basic School

9 ABSTRACT The time of coal and drilling rigs is over. Town citizens, children and especially youth are losing awareness of its recent history as time passes by. This thesis aims to contribute to prevent from losing of unity of town citizens, the town and its problems. Its goal is to create and to document on the sample of pupils of primary schools a level of knowledge of history and development of the town and the region. To reach this goal it was processed and evaluated a knowledge survey whose results formed the basis for the development of an educational program. Its goal was to acquaint students with the state of the landscape of its region, which was affected by coal mining and the subsequent development of heavy industry, to let them realize what phases the town had to go through to become the town they live in, how profitable was mining of coal to the town and what consequences it brought. Some consequences were positive and some were negative. In the introductory part of this thesis in order to introduce the main issue, the brief evaluation of the development of the region and also the description of the consequences of the mining process is placed. Reflection of Solomon's reign

This thesis treats from a critical point of view the character of Solomon's reign. The time limitation takes in the period from Solomon's accession to the throne to his death and the subsequent separation of the Israeli kingdom. The thesis draws on The First Book of Kings and deals with a critique of Solomon's reign, the causes of the disintegration of the empire, a comparison of The First Book of Kings and The Second Book of Chronicles, which are the main sources for Solomon, and the confrontation between Solomon and his father David. The intention of the thesis is to introduce the period of Solomon's reign and to evaluate the contribution of his reign on Israeli people.

The Influence of Coal Mining on the Landscape of Kladno and Rakovnik Areas

Kladno, the city of coal and steel, decorated by mounds of the ancient mines and steel mills - that is still the national awareness of Kladno. And it is also one of the reason why is this disertation occupied by the impact of the hard coal mining to the landscape of Kladno. It observes the evolution of natural relationships that gave birth the banks of coals in the coal basins of Kladno. It illustrates the history of coal mining from its beginings across its intense evolution in 19th and 20th century till its end. The expansion of coal mining was accompanied by the establishment of further industrial entreprises especially steel mills. The disertation evaluates the impact of coal mining to the history of Kladno and its surroundings, to the population growth and solving problems with the city and its inhabitants. It also explains the condition of Kladno landscape after the ending of coal mining, solving the consequences of rough intervention into the nature and its impacts to the landscape. One of the significant outcomes are mounds. The disertation describes its condition and is dealing with the possibilities of its other uses, its adaptation to the nature going hand in hand with the economics aspects and the will of Kladno inhabitants. The theoretical part focusses on clarifying the term old age and its manifestation. Furthermore, it discusses communication as a process both verbal and non-verbal which focuses on recommendations for communication in certain groups of patients. The last part of the bachelor's thesis provides an overview of patients with stroke. The practical part was evaluated with the help of the qualitative research method. The research was done in Oblastní nemocnice Jičín in the Department of Neurology. A number of six respondents were chosen. The researched sample only consists of patients of a senior citizen's age with diagnosed stroke. Predetermined research questions are evaluated based on the respondents' answers.

Contribution of public libraries to children's reading development

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na popsání současného stavu čtenářské úrovně dětí předškolního a mladšího školního věku. Každý věkový stupeň dítěte vyžaduje jiný přístup a je schopný dosáhnout jiných pokroků. Zdůrazněn je příklad rodičů a později také vliv knihovny. U dětí předškolního věku je podrobně rozebrán vliv vyprávění, ať už od rodičů, což by mělo být primární, nebo pak prostřednictvím knihovnice, a pohádek na psychický rozvoj dítěte. Dále také to, jaké jsou způsoby práce s těmito malými uživateli a jejich uvedení do knihoven, jak se dělí literatura pro děti předškolního věku a jak a podle čeho by se měla vybírat. Důležitáý je i vliv hraných divadel a besed, při kterých se děti sami zapojují a rozvíjejí tak nejen své myšlení, řeč a zájmy, ale postupně i své povědomí o tom, co je to knihovna a co jim může přinést. U dětí mladšího školního věku je důležité zaměřit se na to, jak je do knihovny přivést a jak s nimi pracovat tak, aby si zvykly knihovnu používat jako první zdroj informací. Na tyto děti mají stále ještě vliv pohádky a povídky, ale tyto zájmy se s postupem času specifikují. Začíná se také objevovat zájem o populárně naučnou literaturu. Dále jsou popsány různé typy programů a akcí, např. besedy s autory, divadla, výstavy prací, autorská čtení, přednesy a soutěže, kterými se knihovny snaží...
