Spread spectrum modulator
Lejsková, Alena ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
This thesis deals with a method of spectrum-spreading of the data signals transmitted in the radio channel. There exist three different ways of spreading application, they uses pseudorandom sequences and also orthogonal sequences. In these systems we can find various kinds of modulations, one of them (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) is shown at the end of the thesis. Spectrum spreading orthogonal multiplex OFDM is based on this method. The thesis wants to present the principle of the spectrum spreading method and the description of systems, transmitters and receivers that are using this method.
Technology of Online Voting Systems
Wireless safety appliance
Čapek, Lukáš ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kolouch, Jaromír (advisor)
The purpose of this project is to secure an object, for example bicycle, buggy, merchandise. Protecting device consists of a sensor unit and a pager unit. Both of these units contain a transceiver which works in ISM band. Operation circuits drive microprocessor AVR with low power technology because of possible battery supply. Sensor unit is monitoring the state of sensors and battery discharging. This unit can use accelerometer sensor and two contact sensors. The pager unit indicates alarm, the state of battery in both units and signalizes loss of connection.
FPGA core for data displaying on computer monitor using VGA port
Pišl, Adam ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this project is to perform the study of a driver for controlling computer monitor using VGA port. The driver is based on FPGA which is used to generate VGA signals. The main purpose of the project is to design a hardware core for gate array which can be used as part of some complex FPGA design to provide a comfortable user interface. The project describes the main part of the VGA driver – module for generating control signals and module for displaying text information that is sent from a PC via serial port interface.
Fading channel hardware simulator
Pirochta, Pavel ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
Fading channel is a communication channel that experiences different interference and fading due to multi-path signal propagation. The fading channel is designed by the finite impulse response filter with the time-varying impulse characteristic. The realisation of this filtr is based on the TDL (Tapped Delay Line) model, which simulate signal delay and signal attenuation in each branch. The aim of this thesis is to create the VHDL design of selected fading channel simulator and its description for hardware implementation into the FPGA.
Power audio amplifier with AC/DC converter
Melša, Vojtěch ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this work was to design and construct a simple audio amplifier, which would be based of involvement and components used in switching power sources on the maximum degree (for example from usual ATX sources for computer). The main motivation for development is the existence of many old sources that do not use and big interest of users for the construction of home audio amplifiers for small and medium power. Amplifiers based on switching power sources with greater efficiency and less weight than comparable classic amplifiers (working in classes A, B or AB). Their disadvantage is the complicated design and introduction of distortion and spurious signals to the amplified signal. This work will be described a design of simple amplifier, which will minimize these negative effects. For shortcomings and wrong parameters this proposed involvement will be eventually described and implemented design of amplifier in class D.
STEMLab based data acquisition system
Pavlík, Radim ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
Thesis deals with design of acquisition system, working on developing platform STEMLab (Red Pitaya). Goal is possibility of monitoring analog signals with adjustable sampling frequency and length of acquisition. Software was created for both controlling part (Python application) and for platform itself (embedded C, Python) using the appropriate FPGA-HW design (HDL). Thesis describe how to work with platform ecosystem, control and behaviour of aplications created during the proces of getting acquainted with the platform and options how aplications could be created.
SIMULATION AND IMPLEMENTATION ANALYSIS OF THE AUTOSYNCHRONOUS SUBSYSTEMS IN VLSI DEVICE
Kováč, Michal ; Kostka,, František (referee) ; Jalovecký, Rudolf (referee) ; Kolouch, Jaromír (advisor)
This thesis focuses on problem-solution analysis of synchronous digital circuits; the results of which are autosynchronous circuit design methodology, timing parameter definitions based on simulation models and constraint settings. The RTL transformation of the synchronous state machine in VHDL language to an autosynchronous state machine was created with minimal modifications for the simple design of these circuits. Following this, a comparison of the transformed state machines with their synchronous originals in parameters such as chip area, current consumption and timing specification domain is introduced. The summation of this thesis displays a theoretical comparison of several types of synchronization (synchronous, autosynchronous, fundamental asynchronous, EAIC, Bundled-data, Dual-rail) which are presented on the single state machine example with the same technology parameters.
Geodetic Deformation Measurements of "Gagarin" Bridge.
Kováč, Michal ; Vitula, Alexej (referee) ; Bureš, Jiří (advisor)
The content of this master´s thesis is a geodetic measuring of movements and deformations of skeleton and underwork of „Gagarin“ railway bridge during the seventh period and processing of the data got. This was done by comparison of the movements according to the fifth and sixth period. The work includes also the calibration of appliance used. The results involve figures of the movements with their graphic interpretation and calibration sheets of the appliance.
Business Plan - Introduction of a New Product on the Market
Hajtmar, Adam ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Heralecký, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the elaboration of a business plan for placing a product on the market. It is a robotic device for the maintenance of single-wheel rails. The equipment will be placed on the Czech market by companies that will be newly created for this purpose. The business plan will be based on experience from joint machine research as well as relevant analyzes. The plan is therefore aimed at the company successfully completing its entry into the Czech market.
