Modern LED luminaire concept for road lighting
Krejčí, Miroslav ; Kovářová, Klára (referee) ; Novotný, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of optical system for road lighting luminaire. In the beginning the basic photometric quantities and assessment methodology for requirements of lighting class M are described. The next step is the programming of algorithm which evaluates the road lighting requirements using few boundary conditions. The input of the algorithm is also luminous intensity (power emitted in a particular direction). By the turning the algorithm over, it is possible to evaluate the luminous intensity from the road lighting requirements. Those luminous intensities are used in the process of modification of optical lens. The ray tracing of modified models of lenses was performed to obtain the tables of luminous intensity. The values of luminous intensity are verified in the same algorithm. Finally, the comparison of results was made including several luminaires out there.
Measurement of the distribution of an equivalent of cell dry mass using quantitative phase contrast of the CCHM
Kovářová, Klára ; Čolláková, Jana (referee) ; Křížová, Aneta (advisor)
Subject of this bachelor's thesis is to create an overview of conversions of phase profile to the values of dry mass and to realize experiments verifying the importance of dry mass. In the theoretical part, the history of the holographic microscopy and the development of the holographic microscopy on IPE FME BUT in Brno are summarized. The transmission holographic microscope is also described. This thesis covers its construction description and basic working instructions. The theoretical part also deals with the importance of image phase. Two approaches are presented for the interpretation of the phase delay and there is research on phase conversions to dry cell mass (according to H. G. Davies and M. H. F. Wilkins, G. Popescue, G. Dunn and D. Zicha). In the experimental part cultivation of cells, preparation of observation sample and processing of data are described. This part of thesis is also focused on laboratory experiments. Cells K2 (full name LW13K2) were observed in all experiments. First experiments deal with nutritional deprivation of cells and later with cell growth.
Observation of external environment influence on living cells with holographic microscope
Kovářová, Klára ; Tolde,, Ondřej (referee) ; Křížová, Aneta (advisor)
Subject of this master's thesis is the observation of influence of external environment on the living cells with the use of multimodal holographic microscope. The theoretical part is summarising the development of the holographic microscopy at IPE FME BUT. The theoretical part also describes multimodal holographic microscope, which allows non-invasive observing of living cells. The thesis also covers construction of the microscope, basic working instructions and the hologram processing method. The main subject of the thesis is the research on the topic of chemotaxis and osmotic processes in the cells. Experiments were designed for the purpose of this thesis to cover topics mentioned above. The experimental part of the thesis deals with cultivation of the cells, preparation of the sample and observation chambers and processing of the data. This part later focuses directly on the laboratory measurements. In all experiments, cells K2 (full name LW13K2) were observed.
Ethical aspects in the New Year's speeches by Vaclav Havel
Kovářová, Klára Marie-Anna ; Ovečka, Libor (advisor) ; Lorman, Jaroslav (referee)
The thesis "Ethical aspects in the New Year's speeches by Vaclav Havel" interprets and evaluates the content of the New Year's speeches by President Havel in the light of civil and political ethics. In the study part first deals with the theoretical background (the areas of ethical consideration; relationship of ethics, politics, freedom) and also represents Havel`s ethical and philosophical dimension (the philosophical roots and sources of inspiration - the ideas, personalities). The core of thesis analyzes the ethical content and the development of the main ideas New Year's speeches, as well as their contribution to value creation on the road to moral autonomy and a more mature political culture. From the perspective of a new relation and in the context of the former regime, the last chapter reflects on Havel's considerations of ethical topics that are necessary for meaningful functioning of person in society with regard to civil and political ethos. Keywords Vaclav Havel, New Year`s speeches, ethics, political ethics, truth, love, conscience, liberty, responsibility, morals, morality, values, democracy, totality, civil courage.

Voter turnout: Undecided individuals in public opinion surveys
Kovářová, Klára ; Chábová, Kristýna (advisor) ; Sedláčková, Markéta (referee)
This bachelor thesis is concerned with the identification of undecided voters in terms of voter turnout in the Czech republic. In this paper I call them "possible voters". In other words in preelection polls these individuals declare they are not decided whether they will vote or not. I use preelections polls that are part of continual reserach survey called "Our society" conducted monthly by The Public Opinion Research Centre in order to find out what is the percentage of these voters. This study is focused on the period between 1990 and 2013 and explicitly on general elections. The other aim of this paper is to describe how the percentage of possible voters varies among certain sociodemographics. Moreover, I try to discover what the key factors that might influence why these possible voters are undecided are. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
