Analysis of Czech return migration and social remittances - A case study of Ireland Abstract The thesis connects two relatively young concepts - social remittance and return migration, both happening on the background of transnationalism. This Master's Thesis is a case study of Czech migration to Ireland. The thesis aims to identify the return motives and the so-called breaking point - when and under what circumstances the decision to return is made, whether there is a potential for the transfer of social remittances to the non-migrant population in the country of origin and how migration strategies, acquisition and the spread of social remittances differ for low-skilled and high-skilled migrants. The research is based on a qualitative approach. It allows a deeper and closer understanding of the return motives, transnational relations, the acquisition, transfer and impact of social remittances, their character and mutual connections among the selected group of informants. For that reason, the research method uses semi- structured interviews with two groups of informants - the Czechs living in Ireland and the Czechs who already returned from Ireland to the Czech Republic. Ethical aspects in the New Year's speeches by Vaclav Havel

The thesis "Ethical aspects in the New Year's speeches by Vaclav Havel" interprets and evaluates the content of the New Year's speeches by President Havel in the light of civil and political ethics. In the study part first deals with the theoretical background (the areas of ethical consideration; relationship of ethics, politics, freedom) and also represents Havel`s ethical and philosophical dimension (the philosophical roots and sources of inspiration - the ideas, personalities). The core of thesis analyzes the ethical content and the development of the main ideas New Year's speeches, as well as their contribution to value creation on the road to moral autonomy and a more mature political culture. From the perspective of a new relation and in the context of the former regime, the last chapter reflects on Havel's considerations of ethical topics that are necessary for meaningful functioning of person in society with regard to civil and political ethos. Assesing domestic child abuse in the Educational System. Awareness of domestic child abuse in the selected district of Prague.

The aim of the thesis was outlining the issue of domestic child abuse in the context of its detection and exposure. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the concept of domestic child abuse and its assesing. The issue of domestic child abuse was focused on The Educational system. Research in the practical part was aimed at teachers of primary schools in the selected district of Prague. The main issues on which research responds is to measure the activity of teachers and the knowledge of the issues in relation to addressing specific cases of domestic child abuse. The research results show a low level of awareness in the subject and thus the possibility of further education and training in this direction. Kovářová, K.: The most frequent injuries in orienteering, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of them. Background: One of the basic tasks for every athlete is preventing injuries and overuse, while achieving good results. However, there is no review paper, where injuries in orienteering are generally reviewed and widely discussed. Objectives: The aim of this work is to give a comprehensive overview of injuries in orienteering. At first, to compare the results obtained from the studies regarding injuries in orienteering and then to describe the injury patterns, diagnostic and therapeutic methods and procedures what can be used to prevent injuries described. Methods: Pedro databases, PubMed and the databases of the National Medical Library and Central Library FTVS UK were the sources of studies (in Czech and English language) on injuries in orienteering during the years 1980-2008 (keywords orienteering, injury). Ranking of the frequency of the injuries has been compiled. The injury patterns, basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and methods which can be used to prevent these injuries are described in the following theoretical section . The Importance of Laplace Transform in Regulation Theory

This bachelor's thesis deals with the significant role of Laplace transform in regulation theory. The theoretical part is dedicated to the properties of this integral transform and the description of the control system. The usage of Laplace transform in search of process variable, step and impulse function is demonstrated on specific examples of oscillation theory. The final part offers a view on Laplace transform using MATLAB software.

Rychle rostoucí dřeviny - ekonomické srovnání výmladkových a množitelských plantáží

This bachelor thesis is aimed to economic comparison of short rotation coppice and propagation plantations. In the first part of thesis is description of main kinds of fast growing trees suitable for growing on plantations. The second part is aimed to describe the way of growing from the esta-blishing care and liquidation of plantation. The model plantations are chosen according to staple product of coppice plantation cultivated for production of wood chips or fire-wood, and the propagation plantation. Use of wood mass from fast growing trees is influenced of the way of growing plantation. Thesis is mainly focused on economic comparation of model plantation. For particular types of plantation, economic return is evaluated in order to find out which kind of plantation is for planter more profitable. As a result of this bachelor thesis is recommendation for plantation choice, based on exter-nal market conditions.

Modern LED luminaire concept for road lighting

This thesis deals with design of optical system for road lighting luminaire. In the beginning the basic photometric quantities and assessment methodology for requirements of lighting class M are described. The next step is the programming of algorithm which evaluates the road lighting requirements using few boundary conditions. The input of the algorithm is also luminous intensity (power emitted in a particular direction). By the turning the algorithm over, it is possible to evaluate the luminous intensity from the road lighting requirements. Those luminous intensities are used in the process of modification of optical lens. The ray tracing of modified models of lenses was performed to obtain the tables of luminous intensity. The values of luminous intensity are verified in the same algorithm. Finally, the comparison of results was made including several luminaires out there.

The bereavement and grief during childhood and adolescence

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to survey the memories of college students who experienced the bereavement and grief during their childhood and adolescence by using a qualitative approach. Following study is designed to gather information of each participant's unique experience and attitude. The retrospective design also allows to identify the singularities in their understanding of it's impact to their current life. The theoretical part is focused on description of the main topics and related theories. I am especially focused on attitude of our society to the topic of death. I describe the development of child understanding of the concept of death. I also refer to current grief theories which are agreed upon by professionals mentioned the topic of Childhood Traumatic Grief. There are also noticed some intervention techniques and therapy methods which can help during the process. The empirical part is based on specification of the research applying semi-structured interviews. This investigation consists of six case studies, which are based on individual interviews with six volunteers. As expected, the findings from this study can demonstrate how varied the bereavement proces is for children.

The Method of Standard Costing on Example of Specific Company

The subject of the bachelor thesis is the method of standard costing and analysis of variances, that are both necessary for management and controlling of costs. It provides managers with information about the difference between actual and required state. The first part describes the theory of this method, where standard and subsequent analysis of variances are examined. In the second part, the bachelor thesis deals with company, that is part of a multinational concern. This company manufactures and designs electronic components. The author examines how the company applies the mentioned method and further analyzes the variances. Based on the results of the previous part, the author suggest possible improvements of this method.
