Involvement of donors of blood plasma to the donor's registry bone marrow
Míková, Iveta ; Kordulová, Pavla (advisor) ; Chvojková, Kateřina (referee)
The Bachelor thesis is focusing on the possibility to exploit the potential of regular blood plasma donors for inclusion into the register of bone marrow donors. Based on the assumption, that this is the almost identical population and that the criteria for blood plasma donating are similar to the criteria for bone marrow donation, plasma donors are tested periodically on the infectious diseases transmitted through blood, they have experience with the intravenous collection and plasma donors are largely complying with the age limit needed for bone marrow register. The theoretical part describes anatomy and physiology of blood plasma and bone marrow and current knowledge on the issue for donating of blood plasma and bone marrow. Describes types and indications of bone marrow transplantation, registers of blood plasma and bone marrow donors, the motivation for donating, reliefs and remunerations for donors. I have used for the making of this thesis processed research from Bibliographia medica tschechoslovacia in the National medical library, personal source of reference literature, professional consultation, own experiences and another Bachelor thesis. Methods: The Thesis was prepared based on quantitative research in the form of none standard anonymous questionnaire. The target group were the donors...

The information in the theoretical part comes from the National Medical Library's resources as well from the electronic sources obtained via Medline, PubMed and Web of Science. In total, 200 questionnaires were distributed. 162 of them were returned and 12 of these were discarded for incompleteness. Stein, Radim ; Bruthans, Jan (advisor) ; Kordulová, Pavla (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the protection of personnel in cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, focusing on non-medical healthcare workers - anesthetist nurses. The aim of the work was to analyze the knowledge of anesthesia nurses in the use of personal protective equipment, the specifics of selection for the given performance, the use of an electrocautery with integrated suction, the availability of decontamination aids In case of an accident of cytotoxic substances and if the staff is afraid of their own health. The data was obtained through a questionnaire. For the research were selected anesthesia nurses working in operating theaters in selected health care facilities in the Czech Republic. The total number of respondents who participated in the research was 35. The results of the survey revealed that the staff did not find out what PPEs are recommended for this type of operation. It's either because the staff is less linguistically equipped or does not know EBN / EBP or EBM. The staff only uses those PPEs that are available to them. As a good result, 49% of respondents use an integrated electric exhaust system. With regard to the availability of decontamination aids, I have found that most of the staff does not know whether these utilities are available at...
Nursing process for client Stenosis of the internal carotid artery
Duštírová, Monika ; Kordulová, Pavla (advisor) ; Trávníčková, Ivana (referee)
Tématem bakalářské práce "Ošetřovatelský proces u klienta se stenózou arteria carotis interna" přibližuji problematiku a specifika pooperační péče u pacientů s touto diagnózou.

The subject of the bachelor thesis is focused on issues related to hand hygiene in health care workers, in the provision of care in the health facility. Even though this topic is often mentioned, it is in practice less understood or misinterpreted. Sometimes, it is neglected or downplayed by health workers. The theoretical part is divided into 7 chapters. Here is anatomy and physiology of the skin, microbiological and epidemiological situation, measures aimed at eliminating the source and avoiding the route of transmission, effective methods of disinfection, sterilization, elimination of microorganisms and their transmission, in the health facility. Hand hygiene and its techniques, proper use of personal protective equipment, nail hygiene and, last but not least, skin care. Explaining the concept of hospital infection, which increases morbidity and mortality of patients, increases both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and generally aggravates the quality of care provided with prolonging the period of hospitalization. I have worked on a search for relevant resources on the subject. The sources I drew mainly from WHO guidelines, CDC, Decree No. 306/2012 Coll. and on the basis of a literature search from the National Medical Library. I received the consent to perform the action research from...
Comparison of knowledge of nurses and practrical nurses about the prevention and treatment of decubitus
Krajč, Lukáš ; Kordulová, Pavla (advisor) ; Kulhavá, Miluše (referee)
For my bachelor thesis I chose the area of decubitus.Dekubitus is a serious complicationthat affects all age groups of patients and reduces their quality of life. Occurrence of decubitus is one of the basic indicators of quality of treatment and nursing care and is carefully monitored. Nevertheless, despite the quality and professional care of nursing staff, they arise, as there are factors that can not affect the occurrence of pressure decay. At the stage when there is alreadya decubitus, treatment is coming. Just as today it is no longer possible to treat the decubitus as a separate problem, so its treatment must be conceived in a comprehensiveway. There are a large amount of moneyspent on prevention and treatment of bed sores. The most effective money spent is on prevention that deliberately protects patients from harming their health. In the theoretical part I open the issue of decubitus. In particular, I focus on diagnostics, treatment and prevention. The basis for the work was based on the research created in the National Medical Library. Also included was the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP). In my work I use the ISO 690 citation standard. Methodology: I have chosen a quantitative form of research for the bachelor thesis. Quantitative data collection using a structured...

Introduction: I have chosen a topic Nursing care of the patient with peripheral vascular disease of lower extremities for my bachelor theses. In theoretical part I introduce the issue of the peripheral vascular disease of lower extremities. I focus mainly on diagnosis, options for treatment and on prevention of the disease. The sources, that I have used for an elaboration of my theses, were obtained by research in National medical library. Searching was carried out in the databases NLK, PubMed, Embase, Medvik and CINAHL etc. I searched further through internet sources of professional organizations and companies, which deal with mentioned issue. Theses includes guidelines of professional organizations as ESVS - European Society for Vascular Surgery, ESC - European Society of Cardiology, SVN - Society of Vascular Nursing And National cardiovascular programme of Czech republic.
