Opportunities and Obstacles of Employment of Shelter Houses Clients

This master's thesis explores the opportunities and difficulties faced by clients of shelter houses in securing employment. The objective of the study is to identify factors influencing the job placement of this target group. The thesis introduces the institution of shelter houses, their legislative framework, and types of shelter houses from the perspective of target groups. It also delves into the phenomenon of unemployment, focusing on clients of shelter houses, its common causes, and its impacts on this group. The work highlights the employment opportunities available to shelter house clients, including options offered by active employment policies such as retraining, publicly beneficial work, and socially useful positions. It further discusses unemployment support, individual plans used in shelter houses, job activation, protected and open labor markets, training job positions, and also inappropriate employment opportunities. The aim of this thesis is to elaborate in more detail on the topic of the responsiblity and position of the mayor of a municipality, specifically in the system of municipal authorities of up to one thousand inhabitants, which is closely related to a brief but comprehensive overview of the legal framework and other aspects related to the legal status of municipalities and the definition of their competences, for which a mainly descriptive method is used. The Role of Non-profits Organization Workers in Integration of Immigrants to the Czech Society

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze how workers and volunteers of non-profit organizations reflect their own role in the integration of immigrants into Czech society and how they perceive the broader benefits of these organizations. The work focuses on workers and volunteers of non-profit organizations in the field of integration of foreigners, whose services include educational activities. The target group of these services are adult immigrants and, at the same time, representatives of the majority society (teachers, social workers, officials, etc.). For the purposes of the thesis, the organizations selected are those that work with adult immigrants, provide counselling and educational services, are based (or have a branch) in Prague and have a volunteer program. First, the thesis focuses on the state of immigration and its development in the territory of the Czech Republic and on the migration and integration policy of the Czech Republic. Protection of biodiversity of deep sea-bed in areas beyond national jurisdiction Protection of the marine environment including ecosystems and biodiversity of the seabed, is one of the main goals towards which international environmental law should be aiming. In the first part of this diploma thesis, I presented the main deep-seabed ecosystems, and I drew attention to the main discrepancies between the natural scientific and legal view of these ecosystems. In the second part of this thesis, I presented crucial legal principles and approaches that are applicable to the protection of the deep seabed, and I included examples of binding and non-binding legal instruments which contain those principles. I further outlined their status in the current system of international law, particularly with regard to the international customary and treaty law. In the third part of this thesis, I analysed specific international conventions which apply to the protection of deep seabed biodiversity. This diploma thesis focuses on Jack Mezirow's theory of transformative adult learning, its main ideas, development, and reception in international andragogical thinking. The thesis aims to analyze the theory of transformative learning and the development of mainstream conceptions of transformative learning from its inception to the present day. Using bibliometric analysis and content analysis of selected international peer-reviewed journals such as the International Journal of Lifelong Education, Adult Education Quarterly, Studies in the Education of Adults, and European Journal for Research on the Education and Learning of Adults, the development of the conceptualization of transformative learning is then be analyzed in an empirical investigation across their last five full editions. The empirical research aims to identify the main themes developed and approaches to transformative learning theory. The diploma thesis deals with the topic of mental healthand pays attentionto the identification of educational opportunities in this area for teachers. The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the educational opportunities and the offer of educational courses for teachers of the second grade of primary schools in the Czech Republic in the field of mental health. The partial goal of the work is to characterize the role of the state and other actors involved in teacher education in this area. First, basic terms,concepts and components of mental health are defined. Then, the key strategic national and transnational documents, related to the topic of health and its promotion, are presented. Next, the specifics of the teaching profession are described withan emphasis on identifyingthe specific characteristicsof a teacher of the second grade of primary schools. Social Circus as a Specific Form of Education

Social circus represents an innovative approach that uses circus arts as a universal language to work with a wide range of target groups. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the social circus as a specific form of education, particularly in relation to the instructor's work methods with an emphasis on social-emancipatory goals. The theoretical chapters deal with the characteristics of the social circus, its forms, target groups, and focus on the key principles of the instructor's work and competencies. The thesis further explores the potential of the social circus for the emancipation of the individual and social change and describes the connections between social circus and the field of education. The empirical data obtained through nine semi-structured interviews with instructors are analyzed using the open coding method according to Strauss and Corbin. The aim of the empirical research is to identify the benefits for the participants that the instructors recognize based on their experiences and practice. The findings show that social circus in the Czech environment represents a diverse concept that depends on the specific target group. Taking of evidence in administrative proceedings Abstract The topic of this thesis is the taking evidence in administrative proceedings, which aims to present compendious knowledge concerning the administrative authority; to eliminate eventual contradictions in established facts; and to decide on the matter. Taking into account the diversity among administrative proceedings, it is essential to discuss the individual types of the incriminate proceedings, eventually their specific phases, and simultaneously to provide connections between individual evidence institutes. Also, possible discrepancies in evidence, or perhaps complete absence of evidence, should not be omitted since the legislator has not established exclusive obligation, even though the evidence poses significant part of the proceedings. The presented thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter thoroughly reviews the principles of administrative proceedings, which are tightly connected with the process of taking of evidence. The second chapter discusses the terms in the context of evidence, whereas such terms are not explicitly stated in the law. This bachelor thesis examines the education of the second generation of Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to identify and analyse the specifics in the education of the second-generation Vietnamese immigrants with emphasis on their socio-cultural context. The specific aspects in the education of the second-generation Vietnamese immigrants are also identified in the context of the migration of their parents - the first generation of Vietnamese immigrants. Attention is paid to the socio-cultural characteristics of second-generation Vietnamese immigrants, which fundamentally shape their relationship and attitudes towards education and determine their educational aspirations and perspectives during the learning pathway in the Czech education system. The Contribution of Coaching to Adult Learning

The thesis deals with the issue of coaching in the context of adult learning. The aim of the thesis is to identify the potential benefits of coaching sessions with a professional coach for the learning of the coaching client in the form of changes in their personal and social competences. Attention is paid to the introduction of the theoretical framework of coaching and its main principles. The thesis further discusses the characteristics of the coach and the coachee as participants in the coaching process and their relationship; subsequently, attention is focused on the phenomenon of learning with a specific focus on adult learning. The text also discusses coaching in the context of adult learning and deals with key ideas and principles of selected adult learning theories relevant to both the practice and theoretical basis of coaching. This thesis includes a qualitative research survey aimed at clarifying the benefits of client participation in individual coaching for their learning from the perspective of coachees and coaches from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, specifically involving coaches accredited by ICF, EMCC or SAKo and clients who have received coaching with a professional coach accredited by one of these organisations.
