The Lithium Case in Public Media Space
Komárek, Jiří ; Stauber, Jakub (advisor) ; Mlejnek, Josef (referee)
The bachelor's thesis maps the lithium case before the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament in 2017. The thesis analyzes the statements of individual political actors in the media space, finds out what events brought the case to the media and how individual politicians reacted to it. The theoretical part deals with the concepts of agenda setting, which then illustrates how political leaders received a case through media outlets to the public and spin doctoring, which works further in the theoretical part in setting the various statements of politicians in context. In the practical part, the method of content analysis in the methodology of the defined media space in the period from the origin of the case to the first day of the election is performed. A total of nineteen categories were created to create the dataset and coding scheme, representing the most common statements. Thanks to the analysis of a total of 270 media outlets, research questions were subsequently answered, which asked who, how and when most often politicians commented on the case in the media. One of the chapters also deals with the development of the whole case and policy around mining in the Czech Republic after the elections. Subsequently, the work also documents the research of Median, how much the case...
Lyngbya- another cyanobacterial genus producing water blooms in tropical ecosystems, causes occurence, ecological impact, the possibility of liquidation
Komárek, Jiří ; Komárková, Jaroslava
The tropical species Lyngbya robusta occured the first time as a dominant water-bloom forming cyanobacterium in tropical lake Atitlan, Guatemala. In the abstract are presented the main reasons of its occurrence, development and ecological consequences.
Specifičnost cyanobakteriální mikroflóry v Antarktidě
Komárek, Jiří ; Komárek, Ondřej
The cyanobacterial microflora of Antarctica is considered to be mainly secondary. The easy transport of diaspores by wind and human activities (particularly in the last decades) was supported by different authors. The continental input of new cyanobacterial spores to Antarctica surely exists, but cannot explain the special stable diversity of Antarctic cyanobacteria. Our studies indicate the specificity and stability of Antarctic cyanobacterial communities. In Antarctica, there exists a wide spectrum of cyanobacterial morpho- and genotypes, which form special communities every year with dominating adapted species, among which numerous Antarctic endemits exist.
Ekosystém jezer ostrova James Ross - krátká charakteristika
Nedbalová, Linda ; Elster, Josef ; Komárek, Jiří ; Nývlt, D.
We present a short overview of lakes of James Ross Island, their origin, geomorphological and hydrological position, physical, chemical and biological characteristics.
Biogenic calcite structures in Green Lake, James Ross Island, Antarctica
Elster, Josef ; Nedbalová, Linda ; Komárek, Jiří ; Vodrážka, R.
Microbial carbonates (calcification) have been reported in Antarctic lakes in James Ross Island with unusual periphyton communities (cyanobacteria and green algae). This is the first record of cyanobacterial thrombolite community in Antarctica.
Distribution and expansion of planctic cyanobacteria in Czech Republic
Komárek, Jiří ; Komárková, Jaroslava
Planktic cyanobacteria play important role in freshwater habitats in Czech Republic. They develop sometimes in massive water blooms, produce cyanotoxins and must be monitored from hydrobiological and sanitary point of views. Frequency of their occurrence and the species composition change in time and depend on managing of water ecosystems and on global changes of climate. The distribution and occurrence of various species in Czech Republic over last 60 years is reviewed.
Design of Business Rule Engine solution
Zaplatílek, Jakub ; Stanovská, Iva (advisor) ; Komárek, Jiří (referee)
This diploma thesis defines the issue of Business Rule Approach and the technological aspects connected. The aim is to enclose this relatively new topic to the leader. This paper includes the essential techniques and recommendations for rule approach. The thesis includes basic definition of important terms and theoretical overview of used technology. Important point is to highlight the main benefits for a business people that come up from implementing rule based system into the company's information system. The part of this paper is exploring dependencies between business rules, processes and workflows. There are two classic ways to analyze and design information systems -- structure based and object based. According to business needs the new way arises -- the business rule approach. The practical part include concept of functional specification of an application using a module for analyzing a evaluating business rules. The basic policies how the Rule Engines are implemented into the information systems are specified in the technological chapter along with description. There are also elementary operations which can one do with the rules. In one part of the thesis is a description of an software tool developed by company named ILOG. It is called JRules and it provide a full-fledged tool by which you can design, develop, implement and test whole scale business rule projects.
