Forest species determination from satellite data Abstract Examining the species composition of forests from satellite imagery is constantly evolving. The new ways of exploring forests from the satellites make it easier for foresters to maintain a more accurate and up-to-date overview of the state of forests. In this work, the research was made on the forests in the cadastral territories of Osvětimany and Buchlovice in the Chřiby Mountains in the Czech Republic. In this work, data from the Landsat-8 satellite from three seasons and the Maximum Likelihood Classification method were used. The reference maps were used as reference data. The method of work consists in the fact that 6 frames were classified with the help of training sets using Maximum Likehood Classification. Subsequently, the pixels which were at least 4 times out of 6 ranked in the same class after the classification were selected. Based on these pixels, artificial training sets were calculated for each of the 6 frames, and they were used for another classification with the expectation of better results. The accuracy of the individual classification frames was verified by an error matrix on the crop maps. Keywords: remote sensing, forest canopy, forest tree types, forestry map
MONITORING OF DEFOLIATION USING REMOTE SENSING TECHNIQUES

The aim of this diploma thesis is a proposal of a methodology used for an assessment of the measure of defoliation based on the multispectral satellite images from missions Landsat and Sentinel-2. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the introduction of the problematics of remote sensing using multispectral sensors and the basics of research into forest vegetation. Following on this part, there is a chapter considering possibilities of monitoring defoliation using resources of remote sensing, and the closely connected problematics of the health condition of forest vegetation. After that comes a description of the used data (the satellite images and the data of ground investigation by VÚLHM) and logically compounded process of transformation of the data from satellite images on the levels of defoliation. Outcomes of the thesis include analysis of the ability of single spectral bands and vegetation indices to predict defoliation of Norway spurce (Picea abeis) and Scots pine (Pius sylvestris) vegetation. The assessment of the measure of defoliation is demonstrated on single band in near-infrared region with used of linear regression model.
Information asymmetry in economics

The subject of the article is the concept of information asymmetry, which currently belongs among highly discussed themes in economics. In the article, we deal with the basic concepts, which play an important role in the overall perspective on the given issue. One of them is moral hazard, which is a fundamental consequence of information asymmetry. The market subjects or individual people often misuse their superior informational capabilities for their own use, but at the same time they inadvertently contribute to the inefficiency of the specific market, which can lead to extensive market failure. Other important consequences include so-called adverse selection, which results in the gradual displacement of good products by inferior ones. The occurrence of adverse selection in the specific market then results in pressure to reduce prices. In particular, the article analyses the current state of knowledge in the area of information economics, on the basis of previously published articles. We also deal with the effect of modern technology on the economic mechanism and information asymmetry. One of them is the internet, which plays a key role in the transmission of information. The aim of the article is to perform an analysis of the current state of knowledge in the area of information asymmetry on the basis of relevant published articles, and thus create a comprehensive and compact perspective on the given issue. An important section is the analysis of the possible impact of modern technology on information asymmetry, where own conclusions are drawn on the basis of findings by various authors.
Determination of snow water equivalent from microwave radiometer measurements

DETERMINATION OF SNOW WATER EQUIVALENT FROM MICROWAVE RADIOMETER MEASUREMENTS Abstract Snow water equivalent ammount of water in snow and its knowledge helps for example in flood prognostication. This bachelor thesis engages with determination of snow water equivalent from microwave radiometer's data in cooperation with data from ground stations. Norway was choosen because of its good data availability. Microwave radiometer AMSR2 on Japanese satellite GCOM has been used as a basic instrument. For map creation with snow water equivalent method considering differences of two spectral canals and other snow attributes were used. During verification of this method maps from Norwegian Meteorological Institute and EUMETSAT which provils different method in map creation were used. keywords: snow water equivalent, remote sensing, microwave radiometer

Heterogeneity in forest vegetation monitoring with remote sensing Abtract The main aim of this diploma thesis is to examine the suitability of various classification approaches for forest vegetation categorization using Landsat 8 satellite imagery. Two satellite images acquired during vegetative period (8th March, 27th July 2013) were chosen. The overall goal of the study is to explore the potential of using statistical methods to obtain information about forest heterogeneity in a given territory. Chosen study sites are defined by administrative boundaries of selected municipalities from South and Central Bohemia located within following municipalities with extended powers - Blatná, Milevsko, Písek, Příbram and Sedlčany. Supervised and unsupervised classifications were used based on obtained training areas and orthophoto. The definition of chosen classes (coniferous forests, mixed forests, ecotones, structurally homogeneous deciduous forests and structurally heterogeneous deciduous forests) was identical with the categories used in "Project MT 11425-5/2010 The Mapping of Natural Zoonoses Focal Points, Transferable on Humans in the Czech Republic and Their Changes Affected by the Modification of Climate". Drug Issues in Czechoslovakia 1918 - 1960

(in English): This thesis describes the development of the Czechoslovak drug issue between years 1918 and 1960. This period is divided into three parts, which contains an image of the drug scene, drug users, public view on the issue, the reaction of officials on the problem and connection with foreign scenes. The first part deals with the First Czechoslovak republic and its drug abuse within the upper class and demimonde. The second part describes the nearly disappeared drug issue in the 1940's. Lastly the third part deals with the drug scene in the 1950's, that was officially gone, while it just took the form of latent abuse of medicaments. The main focus is on changes of the drug scene and their causes.

Spectral behavior of Mars altimetry Abstract The goals of this thesis are research of cartography of Mars and the problems connected with it. The second goal is the creation of the maps of Mars's surface and lastly the analysis of the surface elevation and its spectral behavior. Firstly, the thesis outlines the theoretical part which includes usage of reference bodies, coordinates systems, cartographic projections and prime meridian.
