Risk management for selected healthcare providers.
KOCOUREK, Filip
The goal of this thesis was to find out the current state of the operation of the risk management in selected health service providers. For this purpose, there was a questionnaire survey conducted together with a form of interview. There was created a questionnaire for selected health service providers (Annex 1). It was necessary to set certain criteria for the selection of the health services providers. The first criterion was to cover health service providers in the whole Czech Republic. The second criterion set that it should be a inpatient facility. The third criterion definded that only hospitals should be covered. The forth criterion excluded University Hospitals from the selected sample. The fifth criterion required that there will be hospitals with more than 400 medical beds in their facilities. Reviews of annual reports of hospitals were drawn up to implement all the criterions for selecting the sample of health services providers and there were excluded facilities with less than 400 medical beds. The theoretical part deals with health care in the Czech Republic defining the providers of health services and health care system. Furthermore, it deals with crisis management in health care including crisis preparedness of health care, crisis documentation and exercises. There was specified a health risk management and risk analysis methods. There was a questionnaire containing 13 closed and 12 opened questions created for selected providers of health services used in the practical part. The questionnaire was divided into five categories related to the definition of Act No. 240/2000 Coll., crisis management, namely analysis and evaluation of security risks, planning, organization, implementation, control of activities (Annex 1). The questionnaire was distributed via the Click4Survey internet portal, it was an online questionnaire and the interviewed persons were also contacted by telephone. The interviewees were persons engaged in risk management at a particular selected health service providers. There were 18 hospitals out of a total of 33 hospitals surveyed participated in the survey. The results were processed into graphs, tables and interpreted in the discussion section of the thesis. The goal of the thesis was "To find out the current state of the operation of the risk management in selected health service providers." The results show that, risk management in the hospitals surveyed does not reach sufficient knowledge and experience in some cases.

Kocourek, František ; Falta, Vladan ; Stará, Jitka ; Holý, Kamil ; Horská, Tereza ; Vávra, Radek
The publication is intended for fruit growers who are included in integrated fruit production systems. The information and the recommendations presented in the matarial can help them to minimize risk of residues of of of pesticides on non-target organisms, mainly natural enemies. In addition, the minimizing of pesticide impact on human health is considered. All recommendations are in the accordance with requirements of legislation which will be in force from 2014 for IPM and also for convention regimes of fruit protection. The spray scheduling is based on the knowledge of pesticide pre-harvest period coupled with the information about their side effects on non-target organisms. Environmental behaviour of pesticide residues from the application to the harvest is desribed for each active ingredient allowed in the Czech Republic in apples and pears. These data enable to assess the action pre-harvest periods for the both low-residual and non-residual fruit production. Information about side effect on natural enemies of pests and other non-target organisms have been worked up for each active substance of pesticides allowed in fruits in the Czech Republic. This knowledge allows us to classify pesticides into three groups marked as a so called green, yellow and red list for IPM growing systems. The possibilites of the use of biological and biotechnological methods are outlined at the end of the publication.

Awareness on issues of protection of the population, depending on the emergency planning zone.
KOCOUREK, Filip
The goal of this bachelor thesis was to evaluate pupils and students knowledge of the recommended behaviour in case of emergency with extra emphasis on radiation accidents. The research compares the differences in knowledge of young people depending on Temelín Nuclear Power Plant's emergency planning zone. The research used questionnaires which were filled by pupils and students of elementary schools, vocational schools, and grammar schools within and outside of the emergency planning zone. The schools were randomly selected using Microsoft Excel. The theoretical part focuses on contemporary state of knowledge in the field and includes foreign textbooks (from Germany, Bulgaria, USA, Canada and France). These textbooks can be found in thesis attachment. This part also introduces Temelín Nuclear Power Plant, its characteristics, geography and demography. It also describes principles of emergency preparedness, related legislation and protective equipment. The second part of the thesis is based on research. The researcher created a unique questionnaire which contained 32 closed questions divided into eight thematic parts. These parts focused on general aspects of awareness, warnings, evacuation, sheltering, iodine prophylaxis, improvised protection, contamination and decontamination. The questionnaire used Paper and Pen Interviewing method. There was total of 213 respondents, 121 (57 %) of them were women and 92 (43 %) men. The results were processed and evaluated using Microsoft Excel. The first goal of the thesis was to "Evaluate pupils and students knowledge of the recommended behaviour in case of emergency with extra emphasis on radiation accidents". In order to achieve this goal, hypothesis nr. 1 was formulated: "The pupils' and students' knowledge of the recommended behaviour in case of emergency with extra emphasis on radiation accidents does not reach 75 % success rate". The executed survey shows that the pupils and students reached 56 % success rate which is below established 75 % rate of the hypothesis. Hypothesis was therefore confirmed. The second goal of the thesis was to "Assess any possible differences of knowledge between pupils and students living within Temelín Nuclear Power Plant's zone of emergency planning and outside of it". For this goal, second hypothesis was formulated: "The knowledge is not dependable on the zone of emergency planning". To test this hypothesis Pearson's chi-squared test was used. The statistics proved that there is no difference in pupils and students knowledge that would be dependable on the zone of emergency planning.

Effect of a cultivar and thermal treatment of seeds in selected vegetables at early growth phase on the sensitivity to infection by important fungal pathogens
Novotný, Čeněk ; Koudela, M. ; Svobodová, Kateřina ; Nedorost, L. ; Aust, R. ; Kocourek, F.
The methodology is focused on the effect of selected factors on the development of important vegetable illnesses: Alternaria brassicicola dark leaf spot of cabbage, A. dauci carrot leaf blight, and Botrytis aclada onion neck rot and Peronospora destructor onion downy mildew. In the case of A. brassicicola, A. dauci and B. aclada, the plants in a defined stage of development were infected by the strains of fungal phytopathogens originating from acknowledged collections. In the case of P. destructor the plants were infected by a fungal strain obtained from a field plant culture massively affected by this phytopathogen. The effect of the cultivar used and of the seed thermal treatment on the development of the above given phytopathogens was investigated. It was found that, in the case of the cultivars used, the interpretation of the results had to include the factor of the cultivar´s earliness that was important with respect to the resistance to the fungal pathogens.

Koudela, M. ; Novotný, Čeněk ; Nedorost, L. ; Kocourek, F. ; Svozilová, L. ; Brožová, L. ; Doležalová, J. ; Kubíček, M.
The presented methodology summarizes the results of field experiments documenting that the selected factors influenced the development of important diseases, namely: 1. Alternaria blight cruciferous of head cabbage (in the years 2012-2013) (caused by Alternaria brassicicola) 2. Alternaria leaf spot of carrot (in the years 2012-2013) (caused by Alternaria dauci), and 3. Blight of onion and onion neck rot (in the years 2013-2014) (caused by Peronospora destructor and Botrytis aclada, respectively). The evaluated factors were: variety, crop density (carrot and onion, only), year and location. It is necessary to take into account the earliness of evaluated cultivars that also represents an important aspect of variety resistance to pathogens. In the annex, there are diagrams showing the course of air temperature and air humidity as well as the length of moistening period of leaves at both experimental locations in Troja and Svijansky Újezd in the individual years. Changes of these variables significantly influenced, in interaction with the other factors, the development of phytopathogenic fungi on the infected plants in the individual years.
