Optimization of inventory in the distribution center retail chains
Kříž, Jan ; Fábry, Jan (advisor) ; Kořenář, Václav (referee)
The aim of this work is to create a functional model for stochastic inventory control planning. The assessment of demand will occur as individual items and the model with regard to other factors, such as ordering and delivery windows, the optimal order quantity and reorder point. For this work there are used two groups of products which will be subsequently demonstrated their differences in their ordering. With this model the distribution center will minimize the total costs and maintain the level of service above the required level. The condition is also user-friendly service model which guarantees the possibility of using the outcome of this work in the real run inventory management on the distribution center.
Markovian processes and solving them in MS Excel
Löw, Alexandr ; Kořenář, Václav (advisor) ; Šindelářová, Irena (referee)
Markovian processes are stochastic processes modeling the behavior of units that is not deterministic. We know only the probability with which these units are transferred between states. Analysis of these processes is largely based on matrix multiplication, which can be, especially for larger number of states, difficult and time consuming while manually calculated. Therefore, these calculations are performed using computers. The aim of this work is to develop an application which will be realizing these calculations in MS Excel and presenting results in clear form. This application analyzes both the absorbing as well as regular markovian chains and is primarily intended for use in the teaching of stochastic models.
Project Planning: Opening the Italian foodstuffs shop
Jeřábková, Eva ; Flusserová, Lenka (advisor) ; Kořenář, Václav (referee)
The work is focused on planning the project aiming at opening the Italian foodstuffs shop. In the theoretical part the main terms and definitions in project management are explained and the most frequent methods being used in project management are described. The practical part is concentrated on the project itself. For project planning the application Microsoft Office Project has been used. The periods of project duration and the total costs having been found out are compared with the trader demands and the decision concerning the project realization is taken.
Collection of Solved Linear Programming Problems
Ďuricová, Alexandra ; Šindelářová, Irena (advisor) ; Kořenář, Václav (referee)
The target of this bachelor thesis is to build new examples of linear programming. The examples in this work include all the formalities which are necessary for the correct interpretation. The entering tasks designed are based on real problems and consist of as much real values as possible. The work is divided into nine chapters and eight of them represent one area of linear programming. The first chapter is a short introduction into the theory of linear programming. The second chapter consists of two parts representing integer and non-integer programming. This chapter is the largest and contains 9 examples. The following four chapters consist of examples of non-integer programming and the last three chapters contain examples of integer programming.
Launch of new coloured glass into the market
Sázavová, Kristýna ; Flusserová, Lenka (advisor) ; Kořenář, Václav (referee)
This Bachelor's paper deals with project management. The issue is explained in the theoretical part with contains the basic termns, organizational structure, interested organizations, project life cycle, project management prodcedures, etc. The practical part of this Bechalor's paper is focused on planning a real project of a glassmaking company in North Bohemia, namely launching new coloured glass into the market. Microsoft Office Project 2007 is used for the project planning. At the end of the paper, the program outputs are compared with the originally given terms. Part of the project is also the Gantt chart including the critical path and cost analyses, resource analyses and risk analyses. A decision on the project realization is made at the close of the Bachelor's paper.
Project planning: e-shop goods expediton
Tikhomirov, Ivan ; Flusserová, Lenka (advisor) ; Kořenář, Václav (referee)
This thesis is divided into two major parts, theoretic and practical. In theoretic part some basic project management terms are defined and described. Two dimensions of project management, history of formation. Next in this part there are given miscellaneous methods of project management as critical path method, PERT analysis, time analysis and cost analysis. In practical part there will be described a project that was planned in Microsoft Project 2010. There will also be displayed time and cost analysis as well as some other outputs from MS Project.
Using linear programming to solve Markov decision processes
Dotlačilová, Petra ; Kořenář, Václav (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to develop and describe how to solve Markov decision processes with alternatives by using the methods of linear programming. The theoretical part describes Markov decision processes. The practical part builds and describes the mathematical model of linear programming processes for Markov decision processes with alternatives. The method used for the calculation of the processes is described with the help of a simplex method. The last section of the practical part studies how the optimal solution of the linear programming is influenced by the postoptimalization changes which modify the probability and revenue properties of the processes.
Inventory models - shortcomings, the necessary adjustments and improvements for real use of models in companies and supply chains
Červenka, Daniel ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Kořenář, Václav (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to find the appropriate manner for inventory control of a small e-shop. The greatest emphasis is placed on the nonseasonal goods. Any model which respect all needs of the shop was not found. From a series of models the stochastic model with continuous demand was chosen as the most applicable. Adjustment of the cost function, change the delivery time from constant to fluid, determination of optimal inventory level and other modifications brought the model more in reality. This allows to find the optimal model solution for each stock item which can be reasonably well met. Simultaneously the foundation were laid for post-optimization analysis, by which all the process of inventory control can be streamlined.
Základní principy v modelování dopravních toků
Šimáně, Čestmír ; Fábry, Jan (advisor) ; Kořenář, Václav (referee)
Research workers started to investigate traffic flows already in thirtieth years of twentieth century. But it is true that in these times was minimal the number of vehicles on roads. However, at the end of fifties this number started to increase. So according to this it was necessary to find sophistry tools to their monitoring. More engineers interested in the theory of traffic flow and they started to describe interactions between vehicles through new theories and models. Nowadays, this work continues, because the number of vehicles on roads is still increasing. The aim of this thesis is to make reader understood the basic terms, quantities, approaches and models in theory of traffic flow.
Stochastické modely a jejich řešení v MS Excel
Müller, Jan ; Kořenář, Václav (advisor) ; Pelikán, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to create an application in MS Excel, which would have been able to count on basic stock models, and Markov decision processes with alternatives. This issue is devoted to the first part of the work. This is the theory needed to understand the basic principles and method of calculation tasks. The second part describes the developed application that can be solved one-product and multiproduct deterministic stock models, stochastic stock models and Markov decision processes with alternatives, and changing valuation of the transition. The description is supplemented with graphic images directly from the application, which makes using applications easier to understand. The part of work is also CD with created application.
