Kalášek, Stanislav ; Kořínek, Pavel (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
Perfluoroalkylated substencies are priority organics polutants. They are evolved to the environment from many sources. We classify them as new xenobiotics which are present in the environment. There will be described their chemical, physical and environmental properties in theoretical part and there will be described the analytical chemistry of these substancies in varios types of environmental samples. There will be developed metod for their identification and quantification. For this assignment will be use especially chromathografic methods. There will be developed standard operation procedure. The procedure will be verify on real environmental samples.
Benzene in petroleum-derived products and health protection
Bílková, Karolina ; Kořínek, Pavel (referee) ; Stránský,, Vladimír (advisor)
Benzene is very toxic compound, which has carcinogenic and mutagenic effects. Result of these effects is significant reduction of its use and also low hygienic limits in occupational environment and environment. The aim of this diploma thesis was to map out possible exposure to benzene and checking of clasification correctness of motor gasoline and benzine (cleaners, thinners etc.). Determination of benzene was carried out by gas chromatography with flame ionisation detector (GC/FID) and high performance liquid chromatography with diod array detector (HPLC/DAD). Marginally, the diploma thesis was focused on determination of toluene (in june 2007 became effective ordinance no.284/2006 Sb., which forbid to sell products that contain more than 0,1 % of toluene to small consumers). On the Geishas from Vršovice. Hloucha's Dab of the Exotic as a Contribution to Types of Entertainment Offered by the Capital City
Kořínková, Lucie ; Kořínek, Pavel
Příspěvek pojednává o takzvané japonské čajovně, kterou na pražském holešovickém výstavišti u příležitosti Jubilejní výstavy v roce 1908 provozovali bratři Joe a Karel Hlouchovi.
Narrative aspects of comics
Kořínek, Pavel ; Bílek, Petr (advisor) ; Jareš, Michal (referee)
The thesis entit1ed "Narrative aspects of comics" intends to apply a theoretical background of the dassic narratology to the visual/verbal medium of comics, using the remarks of the so-called "transmedial narratology". Following a short overview of the most important studies focused on comics narration, the three levels of comics narrative are established, Le. levels of "segment", "story" and "world". These levels are thereafter dosely examined. In addition to the common narrative aspects (e.g. space/spatiality, time/temporality, narrative speech, narrator, focalization and narrative events - in this case "sequences"), the thesis a1so pays attention to the typology / genre theory of comics as well as to the medium-symptomatic phenomenon of seriality, proposing the term of "shared fictious world". There are also short excursions devoted to other narration-shaping features.

For better specification there are contained some...
Seriality in Czech and Slovak Comics Narration. Genres -Models - Worlds
Kořínek, Pavel ; Bílek, Petr (advisor) ; Petříček, Miroslav (referee) ; Malíček, Juraj (referee)
The PhD thesis Seriality in Czech and Slovak Comics Narration. Genres - Models - Worlds intends to deepen our understanding of the historically most prevalent serial form (as in "form of organization") of comics' texts, which phenomenon is here described and further studied building upon the material base of the Czechoslovak comics of the 20th century. At the same time, this seriality is considered here as both the topic of research and its main analytical tool, since the thesis aims to advance our knowledge of history of local comics, as well as to propose seriality-related theoretical tools and concepts. On the historical and interpretative level, the Czechoslovak tradition of comics is conceptualized through its dominant publication-presentation types (comics being presented in the periodicals context) of episodic segments with their strictly limited space/page allowance, with focus on formats and models of periodicity, as well as on genre and composition related topics. Further chapters are dedicated to specific sub-categories of comics narratives (either format-based - comic strip, or genre-oriented - funny animal comics). These not only give an appropriate historical overview of the individual topics, but also serve as the prerequisites for consideration of general, arguably even...
The analysis of the Comic Book-adaptation "Too Loud Solitude" based on the original book by Bohumil Hrabal
Perglerová, Jitka ; Kořínek, Pavel (advisor) ; Mocná, Dagmar (referee)
Presented bachelor's degree thesis contains an analysis of the comic book adaptation of Too Loud a Solitude by French authors Lionel Tran, Ambre and Valérie Berge. It focuses primarily on influence of specific components of comic books form on Hrabal- s poetic expression, that is accomplished primarily with various size of panels and its unfold, distribution of units and details, but also with the style of drawing and with complete text- and picture element cooperation. It demonstrates, that with an apposite aplication of these elements delicate nuances of Hrabal- s poetic expression can be also varied and that some meanings (originaly textuelly inzerent)are further strenghtened with these elements. Further attention is then dedicated to the time- and culture shifts, that this adaptation also devolops end employs.
