Speech therapy prevention and musical activities for children with delayed school attendance

The bachelor thesis deals with the association between speech therapy prevention and music activities in preschool education. The aim of the thesis is to discover whether the means of music education can improve the language and speech of children with delayed school attendance. The theoretical part describes the issue of delayed school attendance. It deals with reduced communication skills and its categories, different mother tongue and bilingual family environment, since the subject of the research are children from these settings. The development of speech in the language layers is discussed, too. This part also deals with speech therapy prevention in kindergarten and its connection with musical activities. The practical part is devoted to action research, which includes an initial diagnosis of children with delayed school attendance, describes the course of the research and evaluates the impact of musical activities in speech therapy prevention on the language and speech of children with delayed school attendance. The practical part also includes a questionnaire survey that provides data on the course of speech therapy prevention in kindergartens. Musical Activities for Children with Delayed Speech Development

As a topic of this bachelor thesis, I cover musical activities for children with delayed speech development. In the theoretical part, I focus on the specifics of correct children's speech development,the fundamentals of communicationandspeechand musical educationinthe pre- school age. I study the definitions, ways of diagnosing and the causes for the delayed speech development. The goal of the empirical part was tofindout the best way possible tohelpchildrenwith delayed speech development using musical activities with participation of a speech therapist. Throughout the consultations with the speech therapist, I had a chance to meet children who suffer from delayed speech development. I used vocal games (both previously published and created by me), evaluated the reactions and the degree of development of the children. The empirical part consist od six case studies and records of five meetings. The research is accompaniedby a poll filled out by the parents of the children I met during the research. I also carried out an interview with the speech therapist. The research's findings suggest that the musical activities helpto develop vocabulary and accelerate overall speech development of the childrenwith delayed speech development. Spiritual songs and their influence on Christian education in church kindergartens

The bachelor's thesis deals with sacred music in church kindergartens. The history of preschool institutions and the history of music in church education are mentioned at the beginning of the theoretical part of this thesis. The Czech fiction, which reflects the child's relationship to music in church educational institutions, is also mentioned in this bachelor's thesis. One of the chapters is devoted to general information about contemporary church kindergartens, a subchapter is devoted to the use of spiritual songs in church kindergartens. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the pedagogy of Franz Kett. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to answer research questions that deal with the use of spiritual songs in contemporary church kindergartens, the expansion of the pedagogy of Franz Kett by comparison with the bachelor's thesis of Lucie Drahokoupilová. The research was carried out using a questionnaire survey. The research questions, which are summarized in the last chapter, were answered thanks to the survey. Music and dance in kindrgarten. Design and implementation of author's music-dance project

The goal of this thesis is to theoretically evaluate and practically prove that children in kindergarten are capable to listen to classical music carefully and to express it with motion, if they are properly guided and motivated. This thesis also provides the theme for kindergarten teachers how to work with classical music to teach children to perceive it as a gift and develop love for music in children. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is theoretical and it summarizes the most important findings concerning music and movement. The second part is practical and it consists of a project closely related to the research. Results of the research clarified the fact to what extent parents perceive the importance of music, movement and dance and how they endorse these aspects. The main objective of this thesis was fulfilled by the implementation of the project "It was said once in nature."
Development of music and movement choreography for preschool children using my own didactic tools

Master's thesis addresses the implementation of didactic tool to musical movement activities of preschool children in kindergarten with respect to the integrative nature of education. The first part of the thesis is covering theoretical side of the important aspects of child development at the age of five to six years. Further it deals with the specifics of the development of musicality in preschoolers, especially focusing on instrumental side of the music. It highlights the musical creativity that flows from the principles of Orff School. Musical creativity is one of the objective of the thesis second, practical part. Here thesis research music educational project whose main component is a methodical set Cup Song that contains suggestions for practical usage. Experiment, observation and structured interview are used as methods of research that is focused on verification of the Cup Song impact on a musical and personal development of the child. Music and movement activities in the locomotion development of preschool children

ANNOTATION: This bachelor thesis deals with music and movement activities targeting the cultivation and refinement of certain types of locomotor movements of preschool children in kindergarten. Two stages of research monitors andevaluates learning the dance steps: march, side gallop, running and double hop-step. The research took place in a normal kindergarten classroom with children aged four to five years.
