Cars Electric Drivetrain
Guráň, Radoslav ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor`s thesis is a specialized research, focused on electric drive units of personal vehicles. The thesis is divided into seven main parts. The first part deals with alternative fuels. The second part divides electric drive units into various sections and describes the history of an electric vehicle. The third section focuses on electric vehicles with a battery and analyzes electric motors and energetic power banks. The fourth and fifth part of the thesis focuses on electric vehicles with fuel cells and vehicles with a hybrid drive. The sixth chapter is devoted to the developing trends. The last section discusses the ecology of vehicles with an electric drive.
Stirling Engine
Vondruš, Jan ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the description and calculation of a closed regenerative thermodynamic cycle. In the theoretical part of the thesis, there is described history of the engine, the principle of its function, differences between particular design variants, and the use of the engine in the past and nowadays. In the other part of the work, there is described the principle and calculation of ideal Stirling cycle. In addition, there are included positives as well as negatives of applying the heat devices based on this cycle. Practical part of the work deals with the calculation of ideal Stirling cycle with the use of Schmidt theory. The primary aim of this bachelor thesis is then to compare and contrast the results gained from both of the calculation methods. In the end, the results of the thesis show that the use of Schmidt theory gives lower, i.e. more accurate, values of engine's parameters compared to the use of Stirling ideal cycle.
Analysis of Stirling cycle
Hazda, Jakub ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This paper deals with the thermodynamic cycle of Striling engine. Analysis of the ideal cycle, Schmidt analysis and second-order method with loss correction by PROSA 2.4 software is applied. The results are compared with experimental data of two model engines.
Crankshaft mechanism of Stirling engine
Smékal, Tomáš ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This article contains description of basic principles of stirling engine, construction types and its parts, which supplies motor run and description of using in real life too. The main topic is analyses of driving mechanism supplying both pistons movement of stirling engine on Robert Stirling‘s drawing from 1816.
Study of Stirling Engine
Němec, Jan ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with the structural design of the Stirling engine beta modifications for increasing the thermal efficiency of the regenerator. This work is an attempt to propose a regenerator, or propose ways of working fluid through the heater and the heat exchanger to cool the chamber. All using different design elements. Furthermore, this work deals with stress analysis using computer software.
Electric drive for motorcycles
Černošek, Martin ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on rebuilding of the combustion engine powered motorcycle to the electromotor powered motorcycle. In the thesis is chosen the suitable electromotor, next is designed the accumulator system, then is created the construction design of location electric system in the motorcycle frame and at the end is made the strength analysis of the mechanical parts. For the construction design is created 3D model in SolidWorks. The diploma thesis is also focused on comparison the motorcycle powered by combustion engine and the motorcycle powered by electromotor in the Supermoto race.
Renewal energy in HPV
Bittner, Ivo ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with comprehensive study and design of recovery system of a road vehicle powered by human power. It contains an overview of different types of heat recovery devices, their characteristics, advantages, disadvantages and applicability in the construction of such a vehicle.
Design of HPV
Schneider, Adam ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with human powered vehicles. It contains history, division, examples of these vehicles, but especially design of quite new vehicle with an unique driving mechanism.
Citybike
Černý, Pavel ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
Content of this diploma thesis is a construction design of human powered vehicle for city ride with a focus on seniors. It deals with the issue of bicycle in city traffic and rates construction modern citybikes with a view to their weaknesses for the purpose. The basis of this work is a design frame with custom geometry, which is fitted commonly available components. Using FEM analysis are revealed critic areas of construction and results are used to optimize the frame.
