Application of nanoparticles in fluorescence microscopy and raman spectrometry
Přikryl, Jan ; Svobodová, Ivona ; Hezinová, Věra ; Lišková, Marcela ; Maděránková, D. ; Klepárník, Karel ; Foret, František
This contribution is devoted to application of quantum dots as perspective luminescence labels in fluorescence microscopy (epifocal and TIR fluorescence microscopy) and application of silver nanoparticles in surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy.
CdTe kvantové tečky - příprava, fyzikálně-chemické vlastnosti a aplikace jako fluorescenční značky
Hezinová, Věra ; Svobodová, Ivona ; Lišková, Marcela ; Přikryl, Jan ; Klepárník, Karel ; Foret, František
The set of different sizes of CdTe nanoparticles coated with MPA was synthetized and characterized by fluorescence spectra and lifetimes. Their application as a cell fluorescent markers was tested.
Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy
Maděránková, D. ; Provazník, I. ; Klepárník, Karel
The signal of Raman scattering in carotene solutions, enhanced on silver colloid particles was studied. The dependence of the enhancement factor on the concentration of silver particles demonstrates the potential of the method for biological applications.
Potenciál kvantových teček při detekci jediné molekuly v buňkách a organelách
Přikryl, Jan ; Klepárník, Karel ; Svobodová, Ivona ; Hezinová, Věra ; Lišková, Marcela ; Preisler, J. ; Foret, František
This contribution is devoted to quantum dots usage for cell imaging in fluorescence microscopy. Fluorescence excitation by evanescence wave (caused by total internal reflection) is compared with conventional epifluorescence microscopy.
Comprehensive and targeted proteomic analysis of red yeast Rhodotorula glutinis cultivated under normal and stressed condition
Hezinová, Věra ; Svobodová, Ivona ; Čarnecká, M. ; Halienová, A. ; Klepárník, Karel ; Márová, I.
The differences in proteomic profile of red yeast Rhodotorula glutinis cultivated under normal and stress condition were studied using two approaches; comprehensive and targeted. In targeted approach semiconductor quantum dots were used for protein visualization.
Vývoj mikrofluidických analytických systémů pro elektrolýzu buněk
Grym, Jakub ; Svobodová, Ivona ; Klepárník, Karel ; Foret, František
Microfluidic devices are expected to speed up the progress in bioanalysis and separation sciences. Ideally, these Lab-on-chip systems integrate all steps of analysis on a one microdevice; however, before the integration, every single unit operation has to be first developed and tested separately. One of such important unit operations is the cell lysis and the following release of the cellular content.
Importance of capillary electrophoresis in Human Genome Project
Klepárník, Karel
The fundamental contribution of capillary electrophoresis to the HumanGenome Project can be demonstrated on the massive application of multicapillary fully automated instruments for DNA sequencing. Sequencing is the most successful application of capillary electrophoresis from commercial point of view. Also in the filed of the research of genome DNA polymorphism plays capillary electrophoresis an important role.
Exact solution to the Navier-Stokes equation describing the velocity profile of electroosmotic flow in cylindrical capillaries
Otevřel, Marek ; Klepárník, Karel
The partial differential equation describing unsteady EOF velocity profile was derived and solved. The steady state EOF was solved for an electrolyte of nonconstant viscosity.
