Trends in aviation jet engines development
Fiala, Luboš ; Klement, Josef (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor work is to summarize recent developments in aviation jet engines. This development is oriented to reduce fuel consumption and improve thermal and propulsive efficiency. Principles described in this work are based primarily on development programs ACARE, Vision 2020 and VITAL. Projects are under development and some are already at the stage of flight tests.

Kubo, Michal ; Koutník, Tomáš (referee) ; Klement, Josef (advisor)
This project elaborated within bachelor study, describes brief view of forming process with elastic instrument. These technologies are used mostly in aeronautical produce, due to its advantages. Thesis also contains design of equipment, which helps with presentation of these technologies during teaching of subject Aircraft manufacture.
Fatigue Life Evaluation of Composites Structures
Mihalides, Dušan ; Kopřiva, Tomáš (referee) ; Juračka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Klement, Josef (advisor)
The doctoral thesis deals with fatigue life evaluation of composites structures. The thesis pro-vides complex review of problematic and it is based on recent situation assessment. The main ob-jective of the thesis is to design the methodology of fatigue life evaluation of composites struc-tures. The designed methodology is applied to fatigue life evaluation of sailplane wing and propel-ler blades. One part of the thesis deals with laboratory fatigue tests of composite specimens which are intended for comparison of the effect of manufacturing technology and environment condition.
Age forming of aluminium alloys
Stanislav, Filip ; Petrásek, Miloslav (referee) ; Klement, Josef (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the description and the verification of a relatively young creep age forming method. This method is based on a relaxation of stress and a creep of material, which occur by forming a part in the clamping tool during the artificial precipitation heat treatment at elevated temperature. After removing from the tool, the spring back and the residual stresses in the part are smaller compared to the conventional forming methods. This is mainly reflected in the increased fatigue resistance of the structure. The creep aging is only applicable to the precipitation heat treatable alloys. This thesis is focused on aluminium alloys, which are typical for the aerospace industry. The first part of the thesis describes principles of technology, its use in the aviation and material processes in the aluminium precipitation heat treatable alloys during the creep age forming. In the second part, there is a methodology of the verification of technology on samples made of the aluminium alloys ČSN EN AL-P 7075 and ČSN 424203 (approximate equivalent of ČSN EN AL-P 2024). Furthermore, a forming tool is designed, and experiments are performed according to the proposed methodology. At the end of the thesis, the experiments are evaluated and changes in the spring back of the samples are compared for three different methods of forming: the conventional cold clamping forming, the creep age forming and the creep age forming with an overaging.
The introduction of unleaded fuels in aviation
Pilíšek, Lukáš ; Klement, Josef (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with fuels for air piston engine. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first chapter describes problems of current lead fuels and influence of tetraethyllead on the octane number. The second chapter is dedicated to the development of unleaded fuels including factors which are limiting theirs introduction to the market.
Utilization of information systems for monitoring of small transport aircraft operational parameters
Parýzek, Tomáš ; Klement, Josef (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis covers with the utilization of information systems for monitoring of small transport aircraft operational parameters focusing on mathematical and economical methods. The thesis contains overview of methods usable in various types of aircraft operation. It also deals with creation of Cessna 208B aircraft`s schedule of work. Network graphs are used for analysis purposes. The diploma thesis also includes methodology of information obtainment and requirements determination of information systems for monitoring of small transport aircraft operational parameters.
Navržené postupy byly použity k přípravě a pre-klinickým testům nosných konstrukcí zubních můstků.
Influence of aging on sandwich materials properties
Smékal, Aleš ; Löffelmann, František (referee) ; Klement, Josef (advisor)
The first part of the master’s thesis deals with sandwich materials. Starting with composition of parts which the sandwich panel is made of. The thesis continues with loading distribution and testing of entire sandwich panel. The impact of environment is considered as well. The second part is its goal – determine degradation of the properties of sandwich panels with metal sheets and core after 15 years aging in the common atmosphere and aging in moistheat and salt environment by experiment.
