Pump design
Šmíd, Pavel ; Šperka, Oldřich (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
The aim of this labour is to analyze the structural design of pumps used in the present time. First, we focus on the distribution of pumps by type of energy conversion, and there are hydrostatic and hydrodynamic. Will further comparison of these types, and enter the region of their optimal application under specific speed. This labour will focus only on the hydrostatic pumps when we will do an analysis of design performance of the individual pumps and we'll give the advantages and disadvantages of the specific pumps. We shouldn´t forget the basic technical parameters and individual areas of practical use these given types. At the end of the labour will be processed the basic equations and the ideal characteristics of pumps.
Positive displacement pump design
Klapka, Petr ; Šperka, Oldřich (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
This thesis gives an overview of the structure of hydrostatic pumps. First, there is shown the integration of the hydrostatic pumps between other hydraulic machines and then there are described the fundamental relationships and characteristics. The main objective of this work is to make a basic list of species distribution and the classical hydrostatic pumps. For each type, while mentioning his principle, his description of the main members is also highlighted some of their advantages and disadvantages.
Fluid couplings and torque convertors
Skokan, Jan ; Jandourek, Pavel (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is devoted to the issue of fluid couplings and torque convertorsand their combination with mechanical gears. The main section outlines development and design of fluid couplings and torque convertors.Resources to improve their performance are also mentioned. Furthermore, there are mentioned combinations of fluid and mechanical transmission.
Pump design
Mizera, Ladislav ; Svozil, Jan (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
This thesis considers the characteristic of hydrodynamic pumps. It describes the activity of these pumps and it shows the particular characteristic curves. Then the hydrodynamic pumps are divided and described. The biggest attention is attended to the vertical multistage centrifugal pump and shaft seal.
Fluid coupling
Vavrla, Zdenek ; Jandourek, Pavel (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
This diploma´s thesis deals in the first part with hydrodynamic coupling, mainly on her construction and function description. In the second part of this diploma´s thesis is solved influence construction changes of the hydrodynamic coupling to the transmitted torque. Changes in the construction are determined by changing the number of blades and changing the value gap between the turbine and pump round. Finally, construction change is solved of the hydrodynamic coupling to increase the transmitted torque and force effects are evaluated on the hydrodynamic coupling.
Volumetric losses
Feldová, Petra ; Sluše, Jan (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the flow of sealing gaps and assess the impact of the expansion chambers of various shapes , placing them in order to reduce volumetric losses . The first section summarizes theoretical knowledge of pumps, which suffer the most from these losses. There are also described the analytic solutions of flow in the cracks and possible use of simulation programs, such as Fluent, for investigation of more difficult tasks. The computational part compares analytically determined values of the volume flow for smooth gap, with the values obtained from the program Fluent. Thanks to the values from this program is also possible to assess the effect of rotation on the flows. Analytical relationships do not include this impact . For easier comparison the flow in the expansion chambers are further drawn contours of the static pressure, velocity vectors and pathlines in their cross-section.
Modeling of cavitating flow
Frölich, Kamil ; Klas, Roman (referee) ; Rudolf, Pavel (advisor)
his thesis deals with the problems of cavitation flow in a Venturi tube. It is made for a multi-phase (water-vapour) flow calculation of two geometry tubes. Results of numerical calculations for the flow geometry (dimensions) are compared with performed experiment. Numerical flow calculation was performed in the Fluent 2.3.26.
Adaptation of the Watermill
Pavlík, Jan ; Hudec, Martin (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis is composed of two parts. In the first part, there is a generally discourse about small water power plants, their structural design, mechanical equipment and economical efficiency and its function is to create the basic conception of the waterwork. The second one deals concretely with the small water power plant in Crhov, that was rebuilt from the original mill by Mr. Petr König in 1990s.
Hydraulic braking systems
Požár, Vladimír ; Závorka, Dalibor (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on processing information about the hydraulic braking system. It describes the basic parts and diferrent types of brakes contained in the hydraulic braking system. It explains the principle of brakes. Most attention is paid to the hydraulic retarder part from the point of view of principle and basic equations for calculating the filling ratio. The final chapter includes a comparison of brakes and use of a hydraulic braking systém.
Flow of Newtonian liquid through a flexible tube
Slonek, Matouš ; Illík, Jakub (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the flow of newtonian liquid through a flexible tube. The theoretical part consists of a review of various fields that flexible tube occurs in. In the next chapter were defined equations describing the flow of a liquid through a deformable tube and lastly, constitutive material models were stated. In the practical part, a one-dimensional FSI simulation of the flow of a liquid through a flexible tube was realized.
