Lithium-ion cell: Treatment of Natural Graphite by Lithiation Method
Bílek, Lukáš ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Libich, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of lithium-ion accumulators. The thesis focuses on the negative electrode of lithium-ion accumulator made of natural graphite. In the theoretical part the thesis focuses on the characteristics, the operating principle and the use of lithium-ion accumulators. Negative electrode materials are also analyzed. The main topic of the thesis is the use of lithiation method which suppresses irreversible capacity losses with the improvement of the capacitance and current characteristics of the battery.
Calandering of li-ion electrodes and its impact on the final capacity of lithium-ion cell
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Čech, Ondřej (advisor)
There is an effort to produce lithium-ion batteries with maximal density of energy, or higher capacity of cell with the same size. Calendaring of electrodes is important part of manufacturing of batteries. Its parameters, mainly the pressure of calendaring and with it related the final compression ratio of electrode layers, affect parameters of battery significantly. It is the process of pressing electrode material coated on current collector with certain pressure and it reduces its porosity and thickness. The aim of this bachelor thesis is determination of suitable level of calendaring that increases specific capacity, but does not reduce its cyclability.
Biodegradable bone implants based on iron
Müller, Petr ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The present work deals with the comparison of the properties of metallic biomaterials in terms of their suitability for use as a temporary metal implant. In the work is judged biocompatibility of materials, they are comparing the corrosion rates and the influence of additives in the iron alloy to change biocompatibility and corrosion rate. In a part of this work is suggesting a method of preparing biodegradable metallic samples with different alloying elements and determine the methods, processes and measuring the corrosion rates. Part of this work is the chapter dealing with the function and effect of iron in the human body and any complications that may occur when a surplus caused by the release of part of the implant during its degradation or corrosion products. The outcome of this work is sort of created an iron-based samples in terms of their electrochemical corrosion potential, corrosion rate of samples exposed in various corrosive solutions, spectroscopic elemental analysis and outputs from the microscopic observation of the structures.
Industrial robotic arm model
Sobota, David ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with problematics if industrial robotic arms, with theirs constructions, controling and with theirs role in Industry 4.0. Work describes the process of development and realization of the industrial robotic arm model by 3D printing. Besides construction fo model, work deals with firmware, software and inversion kinematics crucial to controling. Model of robotic arm will be used as learning tool.
Možnosti recyklace Li-Ion akumulátorů
Skala, Kateřina ; Tichý, Jiří (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is concerned with topic of lithium-ion batteries recycling. In this document the particular methods containing commercial used recycling processes or only laboratory used processes are discussed. Because rising amount of spent Li-ion accumulators is necessary find proper methods to recycle this type of accumulators. Also legislation question of this issue is important. In practical part is described procedure and results performed recycling method.
Electrode materials and electrolytes for aluminium-ion accumulators
Benešová, Petra ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Čech, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents a topic of aluminum-ion batteries, which have recently attracted great attention owing to their good electrochemical performance and possible use in commercially produced electronics. The paper introduces the basic principles of the function of aluminum-ion accumulators and their advantages, which are a main motivation for further research. The main feature of the theoretical part is an overview of the current state of research on suitable electrode materials and electrolytes for this type of accumulators. The experimental part is focused on the preparation of several carbon-based cathode materials, preparation of the IL-type electrolyte and subsequent cell assembly. The obtained results are evaluated and briefly discussed, taking into account the effects of the cell components and other factors.
Modelling of lithium ion batteries using ECM
Langer, Lukáš ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
The main aim of this paper are models of Li-Ion storage batteries made and simulated in ANSYS Fluent software. Various ways of simulations are discussed with main aim on ECM method and how its numerical model is computed. A process of getting information and required data from real battery to be compared with simulation results by EIS method is also discussed. These results are then compared with results from ANSYS Fluent.
Synthesis and characterization of sulfurized polymers for electrochemical power sources
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Čech, Ondřej (advisor)
Batteries based on lithium-sulfur technology have the potential to increase the amount of stored energy in comparison with current lithium-ion systems while maintaining the same weight. Achieving this goal is possible due to the high theoretical energy density of sulfur, which exceeds the values of other materials used in batteries. However, these batteries suffer from several failing, which still hinder the practical use. The use of amorphous sulfur instead of its crystalline form might lead to increasing of durability and charge efficiency. Inverse vulcanization of sulfur seems to be the perspective method for the preparation of polymer sulfur because it prevents its recrystallization and stabilizes amorphous sulfur. The aim of this thesis is the preparation and study of properties of materials made of inverse vulcanized sulfur.
Study of electrode materials for post-lithium ion systems
Kekelák, Miroslav ; Jaššo, Kamil (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (advisor)
