Portal Game for Microsoft HoloLens
Bandik, Matej ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Bambušek, Daniel (advisor)
Goal of this work is to create an adaptation of computer game Portal for device Microsoft HoloLens. Required application should be able to demonstrate concept of the game in real environment. Next important requirement was to move interface of whole application to real space. The result is native application for Universal Windows Platform, which converts game mechanics and models of game Portal from computer 2D space to real 3D space. In the main part, user is set to the role of an player of logical puzzles, in which he is using gestures for manipulating with holograms or activation of several mechanics. Second part opens possibility to recreate real space by inserting virtual objects. By their logical layout, user can create different solvable puzzles directly in space, in which he is located. Created application effectively uses augmented reality and possibilities of Microsoft HoloLens device for presentation of main concept of game Portal.
Smart Home: Digital Thermostatic Valve Controlled via WiFi
Bednařík, Radim ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Materna, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design and creation of a prototype smart thermostatic valve head controlled via WiFi, created by modifying a cheap digital valve head eQ-3 N. And creating a system that would support the control of these valve heads and would allow the user to enter requirements using a graphical interface. The theoretical part deals with a survey of the current market of thermostatic valve heads offered, methods of heating control using control algorithms and modules for use in modifying the valve head. The practical part describes how to modify the valve head and the implementation of the control system. Part of the work is performing several tests to verify the correct behavior of the heating control of the created thermostatic valve head.
Doors Opening for PR2
Senčuch, Daniel ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kapinus, Michal (advisor)
This thesis aims to explore possibilities of door opening by the PR2 robotic platform based on information about the location and properties of the doors. This information must be obtained from another program that follows the protocol designed in this thesis. This thesis' effort should then produce a working program for the Robotic Operating System which - when run on the PR2 - is able to at least open doors in the direction from the robot and get the robot through them. The result has been successfully tested on the doors to the faculty robotic laboratory.
Teleoperation Interface for a Semi-Autonomous Vehicle Using Virtual Reality
Revický, Peter ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The goal of this work is to come up with user interface in virtual reality for vehicle robot teleoperation that is equipped with cameras, Velodyne laser distance meter and localization system. The user interface is designed with generally accepted methods for creation of user interfaces in virtual reality. This work also deals with the problem of sickness from VR. The user interface is implemented in Unity3D game engine. The HTC Vive Pro virtual reality kit was used during implementation and testing.
Application for Microsoft HoloLens with Use of Mobile Phone
Stano, Matej ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Bambušek, Daniel (advisor)
This thesis focuses on usage of Microsoft HoloLens head-mounted display for augmented reality and its connection and communication with mobile phone in order to control the hologram. Phone, which uses its motion and position sensors, such as accelerometer or gyroscope, to produce necessary data, represents a wireless controller. Based on this information hologram created by HoloLens is moved or rotated. Communication between devices is maintained through an internet connection. Two separate applications were implemented, each for one of the devices. Mobile app that sends data from sensors to the headset. HoloLens app that processes received data and controls holograms. The result is simple augmented reality game.
Projected User Interface - Dungeons & Dragons
Dymáček, Petr ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the using of an interactive table for playing Dungeons & Dragons board game. Application, that was made, is controlled by touch screen and gestures. The gestures are detected from depth data captured by Kinect. The work solves calibrations of input devices and the design of the user interface appropriate for the application.
Smart Home: Digital Thermostatic Valve Controlled via WiFi
Smejkal, Jan ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Materna, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with smart home heating in households with radiators. The goal is to design a cheap digital heating head and to integrate it via WiFi and MQTT into the Home Assistant system. I have focused on keeping good design, head functions and a good user experience. Home Assistant enables showing graphs using InfluxDB and Grafana. Using a program in tool Node-RED enables it to lower heating temperature at the times of user absence and to schedule heating temperatures. The price of the complete unit is under 400 CZK. Temperature regulation was provided by a prediction controller, but it was replaced by a PID controller. The controller can regulate with the difference of maximal and minimal temperature of around 2 C. The user can control the boost mode of the head via a physical button or using the Home Assistant system. The resulting product is a good basis for a low-cost smart heating system.
Web-Based Image Annotation Tool
Dvořáček, David ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Špaňhel, Jakub (advisor)
This work deals with the creation of web tool for image data annotation. The theoretical part specifies the application, its design and functionality. The practical part deals with the implementation of the web tool for image data annotation such as point, line, rectangle, polygon with focus on modularity and easy extensibility of the tool for various types of annotations and implementation of image manipulation and transformation functions. For practical part of this work was used library Flask using Python, HTML, Javascript. The tool was created and developed iteratively.
Controlling of Vehicles Formation
Revický, Peter ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create system for formation management of wheeled vehicles with kinematic constraints. The work presents the way to control vehicle and how to manage formation in presence of obstacles. Algorithms used for vehicle control are based on potential fields. Whole system is implemented in Unity game engine in 2D enviroment. The system is then tested on various scenarios such as passing through narrow passage, obstacle partially blocking formation, dynamic obstacle avoidance etc.
Interaction Methods for Advanced Control of a Robotic Arm
Vida, Juraj ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Materna, Zdeněk (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to extend the functionality of ARTable system, which is based on principles of simplified robot programming. These principles aim to simplify the human-robot interaction. The new instruction is added, which enables to teach the robot to place objects of the same type into a grid, for example a box. This instruction consists of two parts: (i) the extension of GUI, and (ii) the extension of the robot functionality. These extensions are implemented in Python using Qt framework, The Robot Operating System (ROS) and MoveIt! framework. The extension of ARTable is fully functional assuming that grasps are generated only on the y axis sides.
