Václav Jan Tomášek (1774-1850) - Life and Work
Kabelková, Markéta ; Gabrielová, Jarmila (advisor) ; Kapsa, Václav (referee) ; Beer, Axel (referee)
The dissertation consists of a biography of and thematic catalogue of the works of the composer Václav Jan Tomášek (1774-1850), one of the most important figures in musical culture in the Czech lands during the first half of the nineteenth century. It was written based on systematic, extensive research in sources consisting both of musical notation and of verbal texts, and their subsequent organization and evaluation. It is divided into two main parts--the biography and the catalogue of works. The first of these (the biography) contains an assessment of the previous state of research, presents the results of the author's own preparatory source research, and provides a detailed biography of the composer. The second part (the catalogue of works) includes a characterization of sources used in preparing the catalogue (both musical notation and verbal texts) and the catalogue itself. The catalogue makes use of findings from systematic study of sources deposited in music collections mainly in central Europe. Its main portion, containing descriptions of Tomášek's compositions, applies a combination of chronological and systematic arrangement. Works to which Tomášek assigned opus numbers (114 compositions) are arranged chronologically according to those numbers, while those lacking opus numbers (61...
Material printing of light dosimeters
Kabelková, Markéta ; Vališ, Jan (referee) ; Veselý, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on material printing of light dosimeters, especially printing of dosimeters for visible light and two types of UV radiation dosimeters. The aim of this work was to convert optimized systems from laboratory scale to pilot plant and to prepare individual systems for large-scale printing. The experimental part deals with the preparation and gradual scaling of compositions to a pilot scale, including optimization of individual components. Problems which were found during scaling up are discussed. A roll-to-roll material printer with slot-die technique was used to convert to a pilot scale. The prepared layers were exposed and their color changes was studied in detail. In addition to printing optimization, the thicknesses of the prepared layers and their resistance were determined, as well as tests of shelf life and reaction of dosimeters to ozone. According to the tests which were performed, guidelines for quality control of light dosimeters printing were compiled.
Anthony Celestýn Mentzel and music in 18th century Broumov
Dědečková, Viktorie ; Niubo, Marc (advisor) ; Kabelková, Markéta (referee)
In the first instance the work is concerned with the historical background of Broumov. It also focuses on the operation of both Broumov schools in the 18th century (the monastic school and the municipal schools) with an emphasis on local music education and activities. Further, the work deals with two Broumov collections of music, monastery and church ones. They provide valuable information about local music service in the 18th century, regarding both spiritual figural music and choral practice. Product sheet music of monastic collection from the 17th and 18th centuries, is one of the attachments. A description of the sources, with which study works, is provided. These are five manuscripts by Anthony Celestýna Mentzel (1684? -1740) containing a total of thirteen of his compositions, which are in this work analyzed from the music and text point of view. Their editions are also attached to the work. In conclusion, the study focuses on the rare occurrence of the viola d'amore in some of Mentzel's compositions.
The Music Activities of the Ursuline Sisters in Kutná Hora during the 18th Century
Králová, Markéta ; Niubo, Marc (advisor) ; Kabelková, Markéta (referee)
The task is to describe the music activites of ursuline monastery in Kutna Hora in the 18th century. This was achieved using non-music resources of this monastery preserved in the State Regional Archive Praha-Chodovec, and music collection located in the Czech Museum of Music. The music collection was subsequently analyzed according to various criteria. Musical activity of the Ursulines of Kutná Hora was compared with musical activities of the Ursulines of Prague and Bratislava and the Cistercian nuns of Staré Brno. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Printing inks optimization for gallery dosimeters
Kabelková, Markéta ; Klusoň, Petr (referee) ; Veselý, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the optimization of print inks for gallery dosimeters. The experimental part deals with the preparation of a light dosimeter based on two dyes, optimizing their composition with respect to the technique of application of the layers and the sensitivity of dosimeter. The optimization was performed on dependence of pH values, dyes ratio and amount of polymer binder. The layers were applied in various ways, either with individual dyes in two layers over them, or mixing both dyes and applying one layer. The layers were prepared and then they were exposed and studied in detail for their color response to the light. The aim was to prepare a sensitive dosimeter with a clearly recognizable color change.
