The architecture of university buildings in the '60s of the 20th century The agricultural university in Prague The bachelor thesis is aimed at premises of the Agricultural University in Prague-Suchdol. It thoroughly deals with a history of education in the agricultural branch and its anchoring to a university level, places where it was taught in the past and most significant personalities connected to the field. The following chapters are devoted to the contest for building up these extensive premises, which were the largest planned realization of the capital city in those times. The jurors rated overall 24 projects, that were given over and are introduced. These ratings are then presented together with ratings of the contest in a contemporary press and introduction of all the projects. Location of the premises and the victorious project by Jan Čejka are presented subsequently. I dealt there with the architecture, the technical description of the particular buildings and urbanistic solutions of the premises, also the newer realizations are presented. In the conclusion I attend to the original works of art that were preserved in the premises up to this day. Architekcture ČSR '60s agricultural university Jan Čejka

Anti-inflammatory cytokines have an important role in the development of inflammatory reactions. If an acute inflammation turns into chronical it is very often a pathological phenomenon. Chronicle inflammations accompany a whole number of serious diseases with an unclear prognosis, such as some of the autoimmune diseases. Usually, the cause of these diseases is not quite clear and the treatment is mainly symptomatic with an effort to suppress the immunity system. For this purpose we use various immunosuppressant drugs, and biological treatment is used, too. Another possibility is to use bioactive secondary metabolites produced by various microorganisms. In this group there are for example macrolides antibiotics, and a big potential is also seen in the recently discovered polyketides. The objective of this work is to test the newly acquired secondary metabolites that were isolated in the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Actinomycetes at the Czech Academy of Sciences. Tested were manumycin A, manumycin B, colabomycin E, asukamycin A, asukamycin D, β-rubromycin, deoxynybomycin. As comparative substances were used the macrolides antibiotics clarithromycin and azithromycin dehydrate, all of them commercial pharmaceuticals. These substances were tested on the monocytic line THP-1. Cells were stimulated...
František Čermák - Gustav Paul. Medical facilities from 30's - to 60's
Kopecká, Kristýna ; Biegel, Richard (advisor) ; Halík, Pavel (referee)
The subject of the present thesis is the architectural aspect of healthcare facilities with a focus on the work of the architects František Čermák and Gustav Paul. The initial part outlines the general classification and development of the building system of these facilities - ranging from the "pavilion" type to the extensive hospital blocks - illustrated by examples. The next part describes types of hospitals and their designs, especially after 1948. It includes a brief overview of both Czech and foreign projects that are of significance. The subsequent part introduces the life and oeuvre of the architects František Čermák and Gustav Paul, detailing several particular projects and realizations. Among those chosen for further elaboration are the projects of the Municipal Infectious Diseases Hospital in Bratislava, Clinical and Foundation Hospital in Zagreb, Tuberculosis Sanatorium in Vyšné Hágy and the Hospital in Prague-Motol; and further their realizations including the Sanatorium in Vráž u Písku, Provisional Hospital in Prague-Motol, completion of the main pavilion of the Hospital in Litomyšl and finally the Hospital in Chrudim.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the recruitment process assessment at a specific company from the ICT industry. The theoretical part researches theoretical approaches to extended recruitment processes such as recruitment and hiring, the induction or the employee life-cycle within the company from various literature sources. The practical part consists of a research based on semi-structured interviews with the current employees of the company and their experiences with the company's extended recruitment processes. In the end, the thesis focuses on the comparison of the theory with current trends on the labor market and the practice. Finally, it provides reasonable recommendations of improvements of the recruitment process to the specific ICT company.

Following nutritional recommendations is very important for the general population as well as for people recovering from alcohol dependence. One of the goals of treatment is improving the quality of life and well-balanced diet can actually help. Goals: The main objective of the research is to determine what are the eating habits of people recovering from alcohol dependence during their stay in selected psychiatric hospitals. Another objective is to determine the difference in eating habits of respondents before entering treatment and after entering treatment. The aim is also to describe the relationship between dietary habits and socio-demographic data. It is set as a sub-goal to also map the results of the YFAS questionnaire. The most common bacterial originators of intestinal diseases in adults in the Czech republic
KOPECKÁ, Kristýna
My bachelor thesis focuses on the most frequent bacterial causes of intestinal diseases in adults in the Czech Republic. I deal with bacterial intestinal pathogens of Salmonella, Shigella, Yersinia, Campylobacter genus. The theoretical part characterises the selected intestinal bacterial pathogens and their microbial diagnostics. In the present time of progress various new and modern methods and instruments keep appearing to accelerate and improve diagnostics. But I focus exclusively on methods used as a routine in clinical microbiological laboratories. These methods include cultivation of microbes, biochemical specification and sensitivity tests. The proof by cultivation is a standard procedure. Biochemical tests are used for microbe identification. Antigen analysis is used for further specification of bacteria. Specification of sensitivity to antibiotics for correct therapy is an integral part of this method. The practical part describes laboratory diagnostics of bacterial intestinal pathogens from stool swab used by the accredited microbial laboratory of RNDr. Alena Veselská in Ústí nad Labem, which I performed in practice while on scholarship there. The results summarise laboratory results from the period October 2012 to March 2013. positive results are compared to the data obtained from Epidate of the National Healthcare Institute in Prague included in the report of the Epidemiology and Microbiology Centre. I have further processed finds of intestinal pathogens in the period 2003 to 2012 published in CEM reports. The results show that the most frequently reported bacterial intestinal pathogen in the Czech Republic in the period 2003 to 2006 was Salmonella, followed by Campylobacter. Situation changed in 2007, when diagnosed Campylobacter moved to the top rank in the Czech Republic. In contrast to the two abovementioned bacteria finds of Shigella are relatively scarce.
The Specifics of the Negotation of the Czech Republic´s Police with People under the Influence of Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances
KOPECKÁ, Kristýna
This thesis deals with the negotiation of police officers from Riot Police Services with people under the influence of narcotic and psychotropic substances. These individuals often become perpetrators of offenses and narcotic and psychotropic substances also have an impact of this fact, because they cause changes in human personality. The work has two main parts - a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical section contains information about narcotic and psychotropic substances, their use in the Czech Republic, as well as Czech drug policy and prevention. A crime committed by people under the influence of narcotic and psychotropic substances is also described as well as the personality of the offending drug addict. The last chapter of this section includes information about police and police procedure when dealing with a person under the influence of narcotic and psychotropic substances as well as the peculiarities of questioning people under the influence of narcotic and psychotropic substances. The practical part consists of quantitative research carried out by the group of 51 police officers who work in the South Bohemian region in the Riot Police Services. The research covers issues related to the conduct of police officers towards people under the influence of narcotic and psychotropic substances. The method of interrogation and questioning techniques were used for the collection of data. The main objectives of the study were to determine the facts, whether or not and how often respondents work with people under the influence of narcotic and psychotropic substances, whether or not the negotiations with these people are specific and how specific are they. Another objective was to determine the extent of respondents' knowledge of drug problems. The obtained results and the possibility of their use in practice are outlined and presented at the conclusion of the study.
