Kadeřábková, Hana ; Pelikán, Robert (advisor) ; Zahradníčková, Marie (referee)
99 'Stakeholder value' as a new phenomenon of company law Abstract The thesis deals with "stakeholder value" as one of the approaches to corporate governance. The primary aim of the thesis is to provide a description of the stakeholder value approach and to describe its position in (in particular) the Czech company law de lege lata; the secondary aim is to reflect on the possible legal regulation de lege ferenda and notice of problematic points of legislation in relation with the stakeholder value concept. Another goal is to clarify through the empirical research the position of the stakeholder value and some other concepts related to this phenomenon in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. It begins by introducing the concept of "stakeholder value" as one of the corporate governance models, pursuing as one of the goals of a buisness company to satisfy interests of a wide range of stakeholders, i.e. constituencies tied to a business corporation in a certain way. Following is a theoretical introduction to corporate governance. The second chapter deals with the shareholder value model, contrasted with the stakeholder value approach, with an emphasis on taking into account solely the interests of shareholders. The decline in skeletal muscle mass - sarcopenia in seniors
KADEŘÁBKOVÁ, Hana
As the age increases, the physical fitness of seniors decreases. This shows the fragility of their body. Managing everyday activities becomes increasingly more difficult for them. Result of this is reduced self-sufficiency of the seniors, which leads to reduced mobility and to the greater loss of muscle mass and higher dependence on professional care. Aging is accompanied by loss of muscle mass and muscle strength - sarcopenia. This is one of the main causes of geriatric fragility. Sarcopenia presents a serious health problem with both social and economic consequences. The term sarcopenia (from Greek words sarx - meaning flesh referring to muscle and penia - loss) was first used in 1989 by Irwin Rosenberg to describe the loss of muscle mass accompanying aging. Exactly defining the term sarcopenia has helped explain this gradual loss of muscle mass. Three objectives were set in the thesis. The first objective was to find out whether sarcopenia reduces the quality of life in the elderly. The second goal was to determine, which quality of life tests are suitable for testing sarcopenia and the last one was whether the SARC - F questionnaire predicts sarcopenia.Quantitative research was used for the empirical part of this work. Data collection was performed using a method of a questionnaire. These were standardized questionnaires aimed at assessing sarcopenia and quality of life. The research was carried out with a total of 77 respondents with sarcopenia and respondents without sarcopenia. The quantitative part of the research was statistically processed using the MS Excel computer program.

Communication of Health professionals with Patient with Parkinson's Disease
KADEŘÁBKOVÁ, Hana
Parkinson's disease is chronic, slowly developing neurodegenerative disease. The basic cause for the origin of disease is the lack of dopamine. It is a typical disease for older age with the beginning of the disease from 45 65 years. Approximately 10% of cases begin before the age of 40. Owing to the frequent loss of facial expression and numbness in face, patients have often difficulties with verbal but also non-verbal communication. It is very important for health professionals to realize that patients with this disease can appear in any hospital ward. Therefore it is necessary to master not only nursing care but also communication with the patient. The theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis dealt with Parkinson's disease and its symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. The next chapter dealt with communication and its basic division, and with barriers which can impede the communication with patients. Aims: The research has two aims. The first aim was to find out the contemporary state of communication between health professionals and the Parkinson's disease patients. For this aim, this research question was created: How does the communication between health professionals and Parkinson's disease patients take place? The second aim was to find out which communication problems the Parkinson's disease patients have when communicating with health professionals. The research question for this aim was: Which communication problems do occur during communication of a health professional with a Parkinson's disease patient?
