Effect of lubricant rheology on lubrication film thickness.
Prášilová, Alena ; Šperka, Petr (referee) ; Křupka, Ivan (advisor)
Lubrication is a very important part of mechanical engineering, which ensures high lifetime of machine parts, reduction of friction and wear and also it leads to decreasing of power consumption. In this bachelor`s thesis there is described rheology of newtonian and non-newtonian lubricants and its effect on lubrication film thickness. Measured central film thickness values are compared with theoretical prediction.
Film thickness distribution within elliptical contacts
Pavlík, František ; Vaverka, Michal (referee) ; Křupka, Ivan (advisor)
Study of elastohydrodynamics lubrication is inseparable part in processes that take place in lubricating contacts of very load components of tribological systems. This bachelor´s thesis summarizes present state, describes numerical and experimental solution and evaluates results of solving problem.
Hertzian contact apparatus
Marek, Jakub ; Křupka, Ivan (referee) ; Hartl, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with project and implementation of construction of the Hertzian contact apparatus based on commercial devices. This device will serve as education facility of Contact mechanics. Theoretical minimum needed for analytic calculation of contact between a rigid sphere and flat surface is mentioned in this thesis. Technical documentation is included.
Focusing system for Ti:Sa laser in the LIBS+LIFS setup
Vémola, Tomáš ; Křupka, Ivan (referee) ; Kaiser, Jozef (advisor)
In this work, the problem of focusing Ti:Sapphire laser beam into LIBS+LIFS interaction chamber is resolved. The task is to design an optical setup with demanded properties. Short theoretical description of the basic principles of atomic spectroscopy, mostly for LIF experiments in LIBS plasma, is also discussed.
Usage of a high-speed camera for a study of changes of a lubricating film.
Mucha, Roman ; Křupka, Ivan (referee) ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor)
The aim of Bachelor´s thesis is to give an overview of the state of knowledge in the field of usage of a high-speed camera for a study of changes of a lubricating film. The first part desribes the basic terms in the field of high-speed camera. The next part of thesis deals with the history of high-speed cameras and their use in an industry, including study of changes of a lubricating film. Finally, evaluation of current status and further development are included.

The purpose of this work is to show an overview about contemporary state of knowledge in area of CAD data exchange icluded trends of future development.
Nanorobots
Haluza, Lukáš ; Vrbka, Martin (referee) ; Křupka, Ivan (advisor)
The point of Bachelor´s work is to illustrate Nanotechnology and Nanorbots to all. The first part concerns Nanotechnology as a science, description of nanoworld and its explanation a technical terms. The second part concerns nanorobots, their construction, succeses which was reached, areas of use, plans and problems that inhibit their full usage in ordinary life
Lubrication of combustion engines in 21st century
Súkeník, Juraj ; Nevrlý, Josef (referee) ; Křupka, Ivan (advisor)
Lubrication is inseparable part of internal combustion engines. It primary influences operation, lifetime and efficiency of internal combustion engine. This bachelor`s thesis summarizes present state and future view of internal combustion engine lubrication. The work deals with tribology of several engines sections and composition of present lubricants for internal combustion engines.
Lubrication of gasoline and diesel engines
Krejčí, Tomáš ; Vaverka, Michal (referee) ; Křupka, Ivan (advisor)
The main subject of this bachelor’s thesis is describing the present state of knowledge in the sphere of compression-ignition and spark-ignition engines lubrication, lubricants and future trends. First part is about internal combustion principle, engine construction. Next parts are about engine lubrication system, lubricating modes, and its locating in the engine. Last part is about oils, and insights into the future.
Experimental study of lubricant films in contact of machine parts
Kučera, Ondřej ; Křupka, Ivan (referee) ; Vaverka, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the description of methods for experimantal study of lubrication films in contact of machine parts, particularly for non-conformal surfaces, for which elastohydrodynamic and mixed of lubrication is typical. The methods are devided according to measured quantity into the methods for film thickness measurement, contact pressure measurement and temperature measurement. It was described the principle of these methods, the equipment, application and characteristics. Finally, evaluation of current status and further development are included.
