Golf Resort
Šebesta, Aleš ; Křen, Jiří (referee) ; Čupr, Karel (advisor)
The proposed golf resort is situated near the village of Nevcehle in the sloping terrain. It is a brick building of concrete blocks with contact thermal insulation and with concrete floor structure. The building has two floors. House is based on plain concrete foundations. Roof is made up of metal plate-connected timber truss with metal roofing.
Unusual tumors of the skin and soft tissue
Hadravský, Ladislav ; Kacerovská, Denisa (advisor) ; Vernerová, Zdeňka (referee) ; Křen, Jiří (referee)
This doctoral thesis describes unusual skin and soft-tissue tumors, which were the basis of the postgraduate study of Ladislav Hadravský, MD at Medical faculty in Pilsen of Charles University in Prague during 2013 - 2016. It contains documented cases of skin and soft-tissue tumors related to hereditary syndromes, unusual morphology, rare biological behavior, minor causal association with the respective disease, or different phenotypes. These cases were published in journals with the impact factor and in peer-reviewed journals. Regarding skin tumors, the study focused on sebaceous tumors of the skin, which may occur within Muir-Torre syndrome. In the retrospective study of sebaceous skin tumors, two unusual cases were found: the case of aggressive extraocular sebaceous carcinoma on the scalp in a patient with Muir-Torre syndrome and the case of multiple sebaceous skin tumors in a patient with MUTYH-associated polyposis of the colon mimicking Muir-Torre syndrome. As far as soft-tissue tumors are concerned, the study aimed at the morphological comparison of cases of myxoinflammatory fibroblastic sarcoma and pleomorhic hyalinizing angiectatic tumor.
Quantification in descriptive and experimental study of functional
Tonar, Zbyněk ; Kočová, Jitka (advisor) ; Hach, Petr (referee) ; Míšek, Ivan (referee) ; Křen, Jiří (referee)
Dissertation abstract The dissertation thesis consists of seventeen papers dealing with quantitative histological assessment of vascular wall and with application of morphometry in atherosclerosis research as well as in biomechanics of elastic arteries. History of microscopic morphometry with an emphasis on stereology is reviewed in the Introduction. The principles of mathematical morphology and of stereological estimation of volume, surface, area, length, and numerical density of objects in tissue blocks are explained in the Methods. The key rules of unbiased sampling of histological series and designing morphometric studies are summarized. The distribution of the overall observed variance in biological experiments, its sources and management are discussed. Procedures necessary for three-dimensional reconstructions based on scanned histological series are described. We proved that inflammatory process was significant in patients with ruptured aneurysm of abdominal aorta (AAA). There were more pronounced inflammatory infiltrates in areas of neovascularization in ruptured AAA than in asymptomatic AAA patients. Histological findings were in agreement with higher cytosol cytokine levels (IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α), enhanced collagen III metabolism and degradation in ruptured AAA. We found lower volume fraction of the...
