Monitoring Solution for the BI Project Maintenance Optimization

Master's thesis focuses on BI projects maintenance optimization of company Intelligent Technologies s.r.o., which is one of the leading suppliers of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing solutions in Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into three main sections – theoretical, analytical and practical. The main goal of these sections is an explanation of important concepts that are necessary to understand the solution, which is being created, analysis of the current state of selected company and detailed description of creating main solution. In this thesis following Microsoft programs were used - Visual Studio 2015, SSIS, SQL Server Management Studio 2017 and Power BI.

The diploma thesis focuses on project management – managing of software development activities. It explains a basic terms of given issue and it also deals with advantages and disadvantages of some known practices and methods which are often followed when developing software. The practical part includes an analysis and evaluation of concrete project. This project is then the base for designing an optimization of software development methodology. Designed optimization will be able to help manage similar projects in future.

Proposal of Management Reporting and Data Visualization

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the financial situation of the company fyftstore s.r.o., which deals with retail. Based on the results of this analysis, propose an optimization solution, which will be designed on the basis of information obtained by analyzing data acquired from historical records of the company. Selected economic indicators of financial analysis will be used to evaluate the financial situation, financial analysis will be processed using user-defined functions for MS Excel. The data will be processed, cleaned and linked in MS Excel and Power Pivot add-on, then visualized in Power BI.

Usage of OSS/FS in enterprise network

This bachelor's thesis describes propose and realization of a new evidence/reclaim system. It uses only software with an available source code – licensed as Open Source or Free Software. Main purposes are to streamline and simplify common processes in service department, for example inserting, printing, editing and listing of reclaims, creating reports, automatic executing of repeated operation and etc. Among other aims of this thesis rank accessing to the reclaim database via internet and application of security rules for an access to and work with system. MySQL server was chosen as the database system, as the HTTP server was chosen Apache. Programming languages HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and SQL were used for development. Theoretical observation are mentioned first followed by analyzation of the former state in the service department and sumarization of found problems. Next key part contains detailed steps solving these problems and resulting benefits.

Determination of selected drugs (beta-bloskers) in surface water

This bachelor's thesis discusses the issue of pharmaceuticals in the environment. -blockers are one of the most prescribed medications with the most frequent detection in the environment. These compounds are clinically important drugs used to cure cardiovascular disorders such as hypertension, arrythmia and angina pectoris. Due to their acute and chronic toxicity towards aquatic organisms it is important to monitor the concentrations levels. This study is focused on optimization of analytical method to determine these compounds. The matrix examined was a waste water from a waste water treatment plant (WWTP) Brno Modřice. A solid-phase extraction (SPE) was used for the isolation of analytes in a waste water samples. A method of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with the UV-VIS detection using a diode array detector (DAD) and mass spectrometry (MS) was used. Target analytes were atenolol, metoprolol and bisoprolol.

The bachelor thesis on Data Backup and Data Warehouse is focused on ways of backing up data and its practical use in a detailed proposal for BPM Sport s.r.o., which deals with the sale of sport accessories. At the beginning of the thesis are presented the theoretical starting points related to this issue, namely the analysis of backup and archiving, analysis of carriers for backup and archiving. The second part deals with the analysis of the current state of backup in the chosen company. Synthesis occurs in the following chapters, there are several ways to solve the current state of backup in the company based on the findings. The last chapter - the discussion, contains the evaluation of the results and the determination of the concrete solution.

This bachelor thesis focuses on backup, storing and restoration of data as well as on data storage. Based on the conducted analysis of the current state in a firm, custom solution which is dealing with problematics of data backup and data storage is being proposed. Output of this thesis is an optimized solution of a data backup system.
