Data resources for evaluation of land use in the Czech Republic Abstract The main aim of this thesis was design and create tool for recording errors in land use and land cover maps. The online interactive map application was developed. The application has two modes. The first mode is designed to inserting polygons, which represent errors in map. The second mode lets user vote on the accuracy of the polygons. Voter expresses agree or disagree with thematic and spatial accuracy. Also, the user can download each polygon KML file. The purpose of voting is to facilitate administrators work. The voting system comes from reputation system, which is used by Web 2.0. The paper briefly describes the selected land use and land cover data sources. These are Corine land cover, GlobCover, Urban Atlas and cadastral map of Czech Republic. Cadastral layer was added to the application by WMS technologie. The application was created using the Google Maps API, which has been described together with competing API. The application was developed in programming languages PHP and JavaScript and database system MySQL. Keywords: web application, crowdsourcing, land use, land cover, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL

Recognition and classification of patterned ground polygons from remote sensing data
Kříž, Jan ; Potůčková, Markéta (advisor) ; Brodský, Lukáš (referee)
Recognition and classification of patterned ground polygons from remote sensing data Abstract The main objective of this thesis has been to prove the possibility of using object based image analysis classification for identification of the ice-wedge polygons and to find general method for their classification. The thesis contains a comparison of the object based and pixel based classification of the subject. The three classification rulesets for OBIA were developed on three test sites on Mars captured by HiRISE sensor. As a result, the general classification approach is suggested. The manually collected datasets, which are common in geomorphological research, were used as the reference sample. The OBIA classification provided better results in all three cases, whereas the pixel classification was valid in only one case. Another objective has been the automatization of the process of gaining information about morphometric characteristics of the ice-wedge polygons and the subsequent classification of the polygons. Within the scope of the process were developed methods for creating polygonal network and specified parameters of those methods. Several toolboxes for the ArcGIS software were prepared and they are part of the results of the thesis. Keywords: patterned ground, ice-wedge polygons, remote sensing,...
Posttransplant function of ischemically impaired organs (pancreas, kidney, islets) preserved by perfluorocarbon (PFC)
Marada, Tomáš ; Adamec, Miloš (advisor) ; Špatenka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kříž, Jan (referee)
(English) Perfluorocarbons (PFC) are hydrocarbons in which some or all of the hydrogen atoms are replaced with fluorine. PFC have a very high capacity for dissolving oxygen. They are chemically and biologically inert. The most successful clinical application of PFC is the "two-layer method" for pancreas preservation before islet isolation. The two-layer organ preservation method (TLM) is based on oxygenated perfluorocarbon overlaid with University of Wisconsin (UW) solution. In experiment it has been successfully used for heart and intestine transplantation. We tested whether this technique would prevent tissue damage and improve results of kidney, pancreas and islets of Langerhans transplantation with prolonged ischemia time in an experimental model of syngenic rats. In kidney and islets of Langerhanse transplantation model we used TLM preservation method. In pancreas transplantation model we used perfluorohexyloctane (PFH) as a new generation of less lipophilic PFC. 1. Kidneys were stored for 24 hours either in UW solution (n = 16), with TLM (n = 16) or transplanted immediately (control group, n = 12). In half of the animals, survival was observed and in the other animals grafts were procured for semiquantitative histological scoring and TUNEL apoptosis assessment 24 h after transplantation....

The Users'Rights in the Information Society
Jirsa, Jiří ; Kříž, Jan (advisor) ; Pítra, Vladimír (referee) ; Vychopeň, Martin (referee)
1 H. Summary The Users' Rights in the Information Society Dissertation thesis "The Users' Rights in the Information Society" focuses on the copyright exceptions and limitations (hereinafter referred to as copyright limitations) as an area which, in addition to the licensed use, affects users of copyrighted works in the most direct way. The term "users" is understood in the concept of this work, in accordance with foreign and Czech scientific literature, in a broad sense, covering also consumers of copyrighted works or users of digital content on the Internet. In the context of copyright limitations users are allowed to use copyrighted works on a non-contractual basis, without the consent of the author, either for free or in the form of a paid statutory license. Copyright limitations include a wide range of uses reaching from the quotations through the use for a private purpose to the so-called news reporting and governmental statutory limitations. The concept of users' rights (despite - as seen from a certain angle - its actual existence) has not been so far defined in the legal literature in a consistent manner. However it attracts an exceptional academic attention for its conceptual and strategic importance. The concept of users' rights represents - rather than a framework of real subjective rights - a...
T cells labelling by bimodal contrast agent for in vivo studies of stroke
Krijt, Matyáš ; Poljaková, Jitka (advisor) ; Kříž, Jan (referee)
Stroke is a serious brain injury, which causes sudden death or terminates in permanent neurological disability. Nowadays, tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) is used as the only effective treatment of stroke. One of the potential targets for novel therapy are T cells. Even though the explicit role of T cells in the pathogenesis of brain injury, amounts and timing of all T cell subtypes infiltrating into brain during the stroke still needs further investigation. The research in this field is complicated by the lack of efficient methods for in vivo cell tracking. Therefore the aim of this thesis was to develop a method of T cells labelling by MRI contrast agent in order to investigate T cells distribution in ischemic mice model using in vivo MR imaging. T cells were isolated from C57/BL6 mice in two step isolation protocol using gradient centrifugation and magnetic separation with the efficiency of 97 %. The isolated cells were labelled with 100 μg Fe/mL of Molday ION Rhodamine B contrast agent. The labelling efficiency after 17 hours of cells incubation was higher than 99 %. The labelled cells were cultured with CD3 and CD28 antibodies resulting into the 74 % viability of labelled T cells compared to 83 % viability of non labelled T cells. The labelled T cells were visualized by fluorescent...
