Exoscopy of sediments of glacigenous accumulation landforms
Křížová, Lenka ; Křížek, Marek (advisor) ; Lisá, Lenka (referee)
This thesis looks at the comparison between grain micromorphology of moraines, debris flows and similar accumulations. Moraine samples were taken in the Černé jezero Lake area, Bohemian Forest, in the Velická dolina Valley, High Tatras, and in the Labský důl Valley, Krkonoše Mts. Samples of debris flows and unverified accumulations were taken in the Důl Bílého Labe Valley, Krkonoše Mts., and further samples of accumulations were obtained from the valley of Prudký potok Stream, Králický Sněžník Mts., the valley of Vražedný potok Stream and Velká Kotlina, Hrubý Jeseník Mts. Sediments were examined under electron microscope and their morphological characteristics and influence of the environment were identified and described. Calculated exoscopic moraine standard was used for comparison of examined forms of relief using distance coefficients, statistical analysis were carried out which identified diagnostic characters for distinguishing moraines and debris flows. There was also calculated exoscopic standard for different types of moraines (frontal, lateral, basal). This research highlighted the differences between moraines and debris flows, and between different types of moraines. The study also proved that typical glacial microtextures, that are generally accepted, occur at similar levels on grains...
Osmolality of parenteral preparations containing nonelectrolytes
Křížová, Lenka ; Šklubalová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Dittrich, Milan (referee)
Osmolalita parenterálních přípravků s obsahem neelektrolytů Lenka Křížová Summary In the theoretical part of theses, the problematic of formulation of parenteral products is summarized. The pharmacopoeial information about osmolality and osmolarity of solutions is also presented. In the experimental part, there are summarized results of pycnometric measurement of density and measurement of osmolality by osmometer for chosen aqueous solutions of used nonelectrolytes (fructose, glucose, lactose, mannitol and sorbitol) in graduated molality within the range of 0,1 - 1,0 mol/kg. There changes in volume of solution relating to the dissolution of investigated substances in relation to concentration of aqueous solutions were expressed. Methods of the determination of the theoretical and actual osmolarity from the measured osmolality were reported.

Forms and changes of the relationship between man and women in the second half of the 19th century
Křížová, Lenka ; Pokorná, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Vošahlíková, Pavla (referee) ; Bahenská, Marie (referee)
The theme of the thesis is the partnership between men and women in the second half of the 19th century, on the example of the middle classes in the Czech society. Attention is paid to all stages of relationships before marriage as well as of the marital relationship. The thesis dwells on the development of an ideal partner, the strategy of finding and choosing one, periods of courtesy, and changes of the relationship caused by marriage and the arrival of children. Discussion on the reform of the institution of marriage in the early 20th century between representatives of the Catholic Church and their opponents is also included. One part of the thesis deals with the issue of divorce, marital separation, as well as widowhood. In addition to ego-documents the main sources for the theses were prescriptive literature, social catechisms, periodicals and specialised and academic literature of the period.

Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science Department of Genetics and Microbiology Ph.D. study program: Molecular and Cellular Biology, Genetics and Virology Genetic basis of multidrug resistance in Acinetobacter baumannii Lenka Křížová Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Alexandr Nemec, Ph.D. Supervisor-consultant: RNDr. Lubomír Janda, Ph.D. Prague 2014 SUMMARY Acinetobacter baumannii has emerged as a significant bacterial pathogen pre-eminently associated with hospital-acquired infections. Strains of this species may currently exhibit resistance to nearly all or even all clinically relevant drugs. The vast majority of epidemic and multidrug-resistant A. baumannii strains belong to a few globally spread lineages, in particular to the so-called European (EU) clones I, II, and III. Complex resistance patterns displayed by these strains result from their marked capacity to develop, acquire, and combine secondary resistance mechanisms against originally effective agents. The aim of this thesis was to broaden our knowledge on the genetic basis and epidemiology of multidrug resistance in A. baumannii. The obtained results have been published in the form of six studies which are part of this thesis. In the first study, we analysed the epidemiology of carbapenem resistance among hospital strains of Acinetobacter in the...
Specific features of the music publicistic in representative printed magazines in the period of net-media discourse
Křížová, Lenka ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Sládková, Hana (referee)
This thesis deals with specifics of textual formulas of music journalism in magazines Týden, Reflex and Respekt and it is based on their articles published from January to July 2011. It contains a content analysis of the word-stock with a special interest in metaphors ant its position in our language. We can see the way how we understand the reality around us which is based on a conceptualization in our minds. And then it reflects how we speak and what meanings we give to concrete words. These metaphoric concepts are followed with concrete examples coming from articles. There is also paid attention to colloquiality and bookishness and their suitability in today's media discourse. There is made a comparison of the individual writing of journalists who represent these magazines and we can also see different attitude in processing the same or similar topics. The theoretic part of this thesis follows the history of criticism with special interest in music criticism. Then we compare today's position of this media discourse and we can also see trends which might be followed in the future.

Determining the most common functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system of primary school children, particularly in 3th 1st and 4th grade at elementary schools in Strakonice
KŘÍŽOVÁ, Lenka
This thesis addresses problems of occurance of most frequent function disorders in children of younger school age. The research was carried out in total of twenty four classrooms at elementary schools in Strakonice, and total of 402 children took part in it.The goal was to conduct quality literature search based on the study of expert Czech as well as foreign literature. It was followed by getting a consent of school principals, class teachers and parents to carry out research which would use standardized tests for examintaion of posture. A part of parents' consent was also a questionnare in which the parents provided height, weight and sport activity of their children. Collected data were entered into tables and evaluated in charts. Overall results showed different values of posture classification. According to Jaroš and Lomíček's method 20% of children had perfect posture, 73% good posture and 7% poor posture. Matthias' test showed 63% good posture and 37% poor posture. Evaluation of lower limbs came up with surprising discovery. Flat feet, varus or valgus were detected in 50 % of the research group. The research has confirmed importance of everyday physical activity and therapeutic exercise in fight against function disorders.
