Title: A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with a diagnosis of unilateral above-knee amputation. Objectives: The goal of the study is to summarize the theoretical information and findings about the problematics of amputation, with a focus on above-knee amputation,and further elaborationon a case study concerninga patient with a diagnosis of unilateral above-knee amputation. Methods: The bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part summarizes knowledge from academic literature about lower limb amputation caused by the peripheral vascular diseases, and a further elaboration on lower limb prosthetics and the rehabilitation care for patients before and after amputation. The practical part consists of a case study about a patient with a diagnosis of unilateral above-knee amputation. It includes medical history, initial kinesiological analysis, therapeutic plan, description of therapeutic units, closing kinesiological analysis and evaluation of the effects of the prescribed therapy.
