Aggressive Behaviour in Families Focused on Work with Children Exposed to Domestic Violence
Jirásková, Veronika ; Niederlová, Markéta (advisor) ; Mertin, Václav (referee)
This bachelor thesis introduces term "aggression", "aggressiveness" and their mutual relation. At the same time it mentions basic theories of development of aggression and describes connection of aggression with violence. Next it concentrates on aggressive behaviour in families, when it focuses on phenomena of domestic violence. The thesis further pursues children who have been exposed to that violence and concentrates on its impacts within particular fields of children's lives. It introduces as well possibilities of work with these children, when it mentions therapy methods, realized programmes and organizations, which are concerned with this issue. Research part is based on research project, whose aim is to examine work with a projective method sandtray at children exposed to domestic violence by making case studies of these children on basis of used method sandtray together with interviews with a mother and a teacher of the child. The role of ribosomal proteins in the plant development
Jirásková, Veronika ; Raabe, Karel (advisor) ; Smýkal, Petr (referee)
The translation is one of the fundamental cell processes, in which the protein is synthesized according to the sequence of the mRNA molecule. The foremost recognized element of the translation machinery is the ribosome, a molecule complex composed by rRNAs and ribosomal proteins. In plants, ribosomal proteins are encoded by more than one gene, which may lead to sub- functionalization and neo-functionalization of ribosomal protein paralogs in plant development or in the reaction to the contemporary environment. Assembly of ribosomal subunits from different ribosomal protein paralogs could lead to functionally distinct pools of ribosomes with specialized role in the translation and its regulation in plants. The aim of this work is to review current data regarding the individual ribosomal proteins function within the plant growth and development. Keywords translation, translation regulation, ribosome, ribosomal proteins
The Role of Music in Emotion Regulation
Jirásková, Veronika ; Kulišťák, Petr (advisor) ; Šípek, Jiří (referee)
The thesis presents the concept of emotion regulation in connection with music and its listening. It deals with the theoretical definition of emotions and in the context of emotion regulation supports the process model following the theory of appraisal. For further description we choose reappraisal strategy, with which is also worked in this research study in the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), which analyses 215 responses from 215 respondents by collecting online study data and finding that three variables predict this strategy, namely discharge (VE), entertainment (Z) and revival (R) of the used questionnaire Music in Mood Regulation (MMR). Furthermore, a negative correlation was found in the strategy of suppression with life satisfaction and a positive correlation of reappraisal with life satisfaction. The thesis by its research outcomes supports connection of ER concept together with mood regulation by music.
The popularity of having animals in Prague primary schools
Jirásková, Veronika ; Jančaříková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Jura, Vlastimil (referee)
This thesis deals with the subject of keeping and using animals in primary schools. The theoretical part of this thesis reviews various scientific studies into the impact of animals on pupils during education and the possible benefits of animal breeding in schools. Furthermore, the conditions for safe breeding and the most frequently kept animals in schools are discussed as well as the risks and difficulties that their breeding and daily maintenance brings. Moreover, it discusses the need to evaluate the welfare of school animals and legislative precautions on the subject in the Czech Republic. The practical part of this thesis details investigations into the number of Prague primary schools where animals were kept in the school year 2017/2018. Through interviewing a representative sample of schools, it was found that 37 % of Prague's primary schools kept an animal. Furthermore, the different species of animals kept in the schools, their location within the schools, the person bearing responsibility for the animals and the usage and the frequency of it within the curriculum were studied. It was found that 52 % of teachers do not use the school animal more often than once a month. Another subject of the research was to find out the reasons for the absence of animals in schools; 92 % of respondents...
