The impact of the financial and economic crisis on Germany

This thesis focuses on interpreting the impacts of the financial and economic crisis (2008/2009) on the Federal Republic of Germany. With the help of selected macroeconomic indicators, it compares the situation in the country before the crisis, its course and the state in which Germany emerged from the crisis. Additionally, this development is compared with the selected world economies. It also focuses on content analysis of anti-crisis measures of the state, especially the so-called "Konjunkturpakete", and necessary interventions in the banking sector. It then evaluates the amount and evolution of public gross debt. In conclusion, the thesis focuses on the analysis of the country according to the "Macroeconomic Imbalance Procedure" method. Conclusions in our work suggest that the Federal Republic of Germany managed to recover relatively quickly from the crisis, but still suffers from macroeconomic imbalances.
Investment climate of the Netherlands

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to analyse the investment climate of the Netherlands from the perspective of foreign investors. It contains information on the history of the country, its population, geographic location, environment and above all, its economic sectors: agriculture, industry and services, and foreign trade. The main objective of this thesis is to select the factors and characteristics of the Netherlands that can influence decisions made by foreign investors when considering the market entry in the Netherlands, to clearly structure them into categories and describe them. This objective is achieved by the application of PEST analysis using information obtained predominantly from Dutch and European sources. The related objective is to create a coherent image of the country, a description of its basic characteristics and history and its attractiveness for the reader who has no deeper knowledge of international trade, investment or of the Netherlands itself.
Volkswagen Group and its market position in global economy

This bachelor thesis deals with the automotive industry with the main focus on Volkswagen AG. The first chapter discusses history in the automotive industry, new trends and development in this field and history of Volkswagen company. The second chapter analyzes VW from the financial characteristics and deals with its market position. The third chapter is focused on a SWOT analysis of VW Group and next possible developmental trends in the area of automotive production.
Internal Trade in Canada

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the trade among Canadian provinces and territories. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one deals with general characteristics of the political system in Canada, individual Canadian economies and internal trade within Canada. The second chapter focuses on the barriers that prevent Canada from free trade with itself and also describes the free trade agreements that provinces concluded in order to liberalize interprovincial trade. The third chapter is more practical and it devotes to the trade between two provinces - Alberta and Ontario. Firstly, each province is described separately and then their mutual trade is assessed.
The Position of Cyprus in the EU

This bachelor's thesis researches the position of the Republic of Cyprus in the European Union. It consists of three chapters. The first chapter describes Cyprus as a country that is divided into two parts, yet has become an EU member state. The chapter focuses on previous and current efforts for reunification of Cyprus; the process of adoption of the euro in Cyprus and the Cyprus presidency of the Council of the EU are mentioned as well. The second chapter compares Cyprus and the other EU member states using geographic, demographic, political and primarily economic indicators from before the outbreak of the financial crisis in 2008. The last chapter studies changes in these indicators after 2008, and briefly describes the Cyprus' macroeconomic adjustment programme.
Global Oil Price and Its Impact on the Russian Economy

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine oil price impact on the economy of the Russian Federation. The first chapter focuses on general information about oil and global oil price. Also it examines the history and the current situation of international oil trade and its dependency of the dynamics of global oil price. In the second chapter author describes Russian oil market and shows the significance of oil industry for the Russian economy. The last chapter analyses the impact of oil price on particular indicators of the Russian economy, i.e. on its efficiency, general price level and international trade. Conclusion includes a brief summary of global oil price dynamics and examined connections.
Tertiary sector of the United Kingdom

This bachelor thesis focuses on the tertiary sector in the United Kingdom. The first chapter deals with the tertiary sector in general - services are characterised in this chapter by using many different definitions and also some classifications are included - such as according to IMF, WTO and so on. The second chapter uses the method of comparison for analysing particular groups of services divided by balance of payments from 2005 to 2015. For better illustration, mainly in the second chapter, many charts are used and followed by their description.
Balance of payments of the Republic of Lithuania after 2004

The bachelor thesis aims to map the development of the balance of payments and the external economic balance of the Republic of Lithuania after 2004. The theoretical backgrounds of the balance of payments and the external economic balance are described in the first chapter, which provide the basis for the practical part, which is divided into two chapters. The second chapter deals with the analysis of individual accounts and sub-accounts of the balance of payments. The third part deals with the analysis of the external economic balance using various indicators to assess its shape.Many graphs are used to show the development of individual items and to highlight the significant trends.
State capitalism in Russia

The bachelor thesis deals with state capitalism in Russia. The first chapter is focused on characterization of state capitalism and its history. It contains reasons, why some states prefer this type of capitalism and which tools they use to enforce their political goals. The chapter also explains advantages and disadvantages of this approach and briefly describes its features in China and Saudi Arabia. The second chapter applies the theory from the first chapter on Russia. It contains characterization of Russian economy and its history, focusing on the role of state in the economy. The chapter also describes tools of state capitalism in Russia, especially state-owned enterprises in energetic sector and sovereign funds. There is also an explanation of effects of state capitalism on Russian economy and global market.

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the current situation on the World gold market and describe the factors that influence this market. It also focuses on interpreting the possibilities of an investor who decides to enter the gold market. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter describes the properties of gold, its occurrence, its use and historical significance. The second chapter focuses on the evolution of the World gold market, more precisely on the supply and demand of gold. At the end of this chapter, is described the development of the world's gold price over the last 20 years and the factors that affect the price. The last chapter discusses the possibilities to invest in gold and what advantages and disadvantages the investment can bring.
