Madecký, Filip ; Struhala, Karel (referee) ; Jelínek, Petr (advisor)
The main topic of this bachelor thesis is the processing of a project in the form of documentation for the construction of a detached house in accordance with current legislation. The aim of the thesis is to design and describe the proposed layout of the building, appropriately select the structural system and materials, design siting of the building with consideration for the existing land conditions and respect the surrounding development. The basis for this work was municipality's land-use plan, land registry records, and a geological map. The new construction will be situated on a slightly sloping building plot in a remote and quiet part of the village of Petrovice u Karviné, on an area which use is according to the regional planning documentation for living houses. The proposed detached house is a two-story structure with a partial basement, designed to accommodate four people. The project focuses on creating a functional home with optimal use of space and clear separation of individual zones. The chosen structural system is a wall system. Ceramic blocks without external contact insulation were used for the perimeter masonry, while the basement perimeter masonry are made of monolithic concrete using lost formwork. The horizontal load-bearing structures will be constructed using reinforced concrete. The roofing of the second floor is designed as a wooden roof with a plasterboard ceiling and metal roofing. The second part of the building, located above the first is covered by a flat, vegetated roof with an attic. A storage space for groceries is planned in the basement. On the first floor there is a communication and social zone, primarily consisting of a spacious living room with a dining area and a kitchenette. The second floor accommodates the separate sleeping area, including children's rooms and a master bedroom. Both floors feature a bathroom and a separate toilet.

The plot is accessible by local road and is slightly sloping. The thesis has two parts. The first part presents structural and architectural design and also building physics assessment. The second part presents the design of building services – ventilation, heating, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and rainwater management. The house has two above-ground stories. On the ground floor there is a utility room, storage space, toilet, home-office and kitchen which is open to the dining area and living room. On the first floor there are situated three bedrooms, master’s bedroom, bathroom, toilet and walk-in-wardrobes. The vertical load-bearing structure of the house is sand-lime block masonry. External walls are insulated with graphite polystyrene ETICS. The house is built on foundation strips. The floor structure consists of filigree slab with a concrete screed. The house has a flat green roof. The house has mechanical ventilation. It is heated by floor heating with an earth-water heat pump as the heat source. It also has photovoltaic panels providing electricity. The rainwater is collected from roofs and paved surface and is used for watering a garden. The excess rainwater is infiltrated on the property. The Energy Performance Certificate was calculated. The project documentation is developed using BIM methodology.

The bachelor‘s thesis is solved by one of two designed apartment buildings on an atypical plot in Hustopeče u Brna. The apartment building consists of four above-ground floors and one underground level, with a total of 32 residental units, which are designed from smaller apartments for individuals to larger, more lucrative apartments for larger families. The object’s mass is two blocks that are angled into each other, which creates an overlap of the flat roof on the fourth floor which partially covers the common area of walkable vegetation roof on the third above- ground floor. The roof is accessible for the whole apartment building, creating another interesting space for the occupants of the house.
