Organizational forms of strength training and their impact on blood lactate concentration
Klimt, Sebastian ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Blažek, Dušan (referee)
Author: Sebastian Klimt Title: Organizational forms of strength training and their impact on blood lactate concentration Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to investigate the effect of different organizational forms of strength training on blood lactate concentration, heart rate and RPE values. Methods: Seven men with at least two years of strength training experience participated in this study. Participants underwent a strength training protocol of traditional sets, supersets, and trisets once a week for 4 weeks. Heart rate was monitored in 3 probands using sporttesters, and after completion of each training protocol, all participants in the pilot study provided an RPE value to monitor load intensity. Conclusion: The trisets organizational form is the most demanding in terms of RPE and heart rate, the superseries moderately demanding, and the traditional sets the least intense organizational form. Keywords: strength training, traditional sets, supersets, trisets, exercise intensity
Asymmetric strenght training and its impact on maximal strenght
Bouchal, Martin ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Blažek, Dušan (referee)
Title: Asymmetric strength training and its impact on maximal strength Objectives: The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to compare the impact of asymmetric and symmetric strength training on the development of 1RM in the bench press and deadlift exercises. Methods: Sixteen female participants took part in the research, who were divided into two groups, Experimental Group 1 and Experimental Group 2. Experimental Group 1, with n=8 participants, performed asymmetric strength training for a period of ten weeks. Experimental Group 2, also with n=8 participants, performed symmetric strength training for the same duration. After completing the intervention strength program, a post-test measurement was conducted, followed by the evaluation of the results. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and the significance of the results was assessed through ANOVA and Cohen's effect size coefficient. Results: On average, the group that underwent symmetric strength training showed greater improvement in the bench press exercise. Conversely, the group that performed asymmetric training demonstrated greater improvement in the deadlift exercise. Conclusion: The results indicate that asymmetric training can also have its justification in strength and conditioning preparation. Asymmetric loading can be...

Šírek, Filip ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Blažek, Dušan (referee)
Title: Organizational forms of strength training and their impact on explosive power. Thesis: Using statistical analysis to assess the immediate effect of different organizational forms of strength training on explosive power. Methods: Selected probands underwent three resistance training sessions with different organizational forms. Before and after the strength training sessions, all participants underwent trap bar jump testing. The output from the test was maximum and mean velocity. Based on the data obtained, statistical analysis was performed using R studio software. Results: According to the statistical analysis, the most significant influence on the explosive power is the following trisets. This was followed by supersets, and the smallest difference in explosive power before and after training was observed with traditional sets The highest decrease in mean velocity was observed after completing resistance training with trisets. In the case of maximal velocity, the highest decrease was for supersets, but the trisets lagged behind by only 0.1 %. The smallest effect in both cases was for the traditional sets. Keywords: Resistance training, sets, mean and maximal velocity

Diagnosis of unilateral loading in ice hockey
Beran, Václav ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Vojta, Zdeněk (referee)
Title: Unilateral loading diagnosis in ice hockey Objectives: The primary objective of this work is to determine if junior field hockey players exhibit characteristic muscular imbalances in areas at high risk for unilateral loading. Sub-objective #1. Conduct a series of physiological tests (Patrick test, Thomas test, pectoralis muscle shortening test, ankle flexibility test, and left and right knee internal and external rotation tests) on junior field hockey players from four different teams to identify potential areas at high risk for unilateral loading. Sub-objective #2. Conduct a statistical analysis of the data collected to determine if there is a statistically significant unilateral strain in any of the areas tested and if there are significant differences between teams. Methods: In our study, the physical condition of the players was assessed using a modern Tanita scale and diagnostic exercise tests. Statistical methods such as t-tests, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis test, Wilcoxon test, and principal component analysis were used for data analysis. We also used Fisher's exact test and chi- square test to evaluate differences in frequency. A post-hoc test was then performed - Tukey's HSD test. Results: Our study identified statistically significant instances of unilateral load among hockey players...
Effect of strength training on performance in triathletes
Halamka, Marek ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Krupková, Dominika (referee)
Title: Effect of strength training on performance in triathletes Objectives: Goal of bachelor thesis is to compare performance parameters between two groups of triathletes. The first group will add strength training to their ordinary endurance training and the second group will continue without strength training. Methods: A crossover design experiment was chosen in which the ES and KS swapped in the middle. The experiment lasted 6 weeks with a TJ frequency of 2-3 per week. The TJ content was aimed at developing whole-body strength endurance in amateur triathletes in the preparatory period. All probands completed entry, control and exit testing where I compared the results of strength training with and without strength training. Results: Results from this work indicated that the inclusion of strength-oriented TJ in endurance athletes resulted in greater gains in fitness tests compared to endurance training alone. Furthermore, the improvement was greater for ES 1 who received the intervention in the first phase of the preparation period than for ES 2 with the intervention later in the preparation period. Title: Effect of strength training on posture in triathletes aged 30-45 years Objectives: To examine the effect of incorporating strength-endurance training on posture in triathletes aged 30-45 years. Methods: Effect of strength-endurance training 2-3 times a week for 6 weeks on posture in triathletes. Thirteen amateur triathletes (3 women, 10 men) were selected for the research. After the input testing, the triathletes were randomly divided into groups ES 1 (n=8) and KS 1 (n=6). This was followed by a 6-week intervention programme for ES 1 that added 2-3 training units per week to their normal training activities. During this period, KS 1 was only allowed to do their normal training activities (no strength training). After the control testing, the groups were switched and KS 1 became ES 2 and 6-week intervention programme started for this group. During this period, ES 1 continued with normal training activities but was not to allowed to continues with strength training. The research was completed with output testing ES 2 and ES 1. For the assessment of posture in triathletes a set of tests was used which consisted of Body posture assessment by Jaroš and Lomíček, selected DNS (dynamic neuromuscular stabilization) tests by Kolář, selected tests of hypermobility and movement stereotypes by Janda....
